Super friendly staff, excellent restaurant in the lobby (hubbie couldn’t rave more about the pork cheek dinner), great shower, very comfortable and huge king bed (even by US standards), and the best view of the Parthenon you could ask for - very special!! There are 2 very large outdoor hot tubs as well as an outdoor lounge area, both with the Parthenon view, for all guests to enjoy.

I was a little upset about two things (but I guess I did not read carefully ) there is a pic on Expedia with what looks like a pool. We went to the Acropolis in 95 degree weather and all I wanted was a swim! No pool! Then the second wad not my fault def theirs the man at the front desk told us to check out the rooftop (we were there for only one night so he checked us in and had to know this) we went to the rooftop and it was closed for a private party! I understand this happens but there was not signs or anything to Inform us until we got there! Great location walking distance to the Acropolis and the Parthenon.

We would like to thank all the staff at Herodion for being so efficient and so welcoming. They made our stay much more pleasant and special. The hotel was very good and location was extremely convenient for central Athens, in particular for visiting the Acropolis Museum, which is just around the corner. Parking may be difficult and/or expensive. One negative was the lack of heating in the room. To be fair, even though it was cold outside, we did not feel cold in the room, but it took us by surprise to know that the 4 * hotel did not have any heating available. All in all, a very good hotel with a 5* staff. We would stay again.

The hotel has a lovely jacuzzi but it is a shame you can only get 15 minutes at one time before having to reactivate your card. On the morning of the Athens marathon they did a special early breakfast at 5:30am.

Great location. Good view of the Parthenon. 10 minute walk from many restaurants. Nice atmosphere in the hotel bar area. Comprehensive breakfast. Shame the bar closed so early (11pm) for residents. Rooftop bar closed for the season but we found plenty of alternatives in the area.

We truly loved everything about this hotel. We had been booked in a different hotel that we left after 25 minutes. I jumped on Expedia and found this one. We were SO GLAD we moved. The staff was amazing, helpful, courteous. The location great and all facilities were completely spotless at all times. Would HIGHLY recommend!

This was my first trip to Greece and I was very pleased with our stay at the Herodion Athens. The staff was friendly and helpful and were expecting us when we arrived. They also had a wonderful breakfast buffet included. My only complaint was that there was an odor of sewer gas in the bathroom.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Herodion Hotel. The location was excellent—we were able to walk to the Acropolis, Plaka, and several other popular neighborhoods. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, and the breakfast offered a delicious variety of options. We chose to stay in the guesthouse, which is just a two-minute walk from the main hotel. While the guesthouse was lovely, we would likely opt for the main hotel next time. The décor was beautiful and the space was larger than a standard room, but some of the layout felt a bit awkward, such as the small upstairs loft and having the shower separate from the bathroom. The kitchenette was well stocked, though we didn’t end up using it, and the hotel generously provided fresh fruit, wine, and pastries. Overall, we would absolutely recommend this hotel and would happily stay again!

Great location to the Acropolis and Plaka old town. Staff are friendly and greatly attentive. Rooms very clean. Breakfast included and there was a huge variety and “all you can eat” buffet. Rooftop bar has an amazing view. We received a surprise complimentary bottle of wine which i assume was as a return visit. My only criticism is the bathrooms are small. All around a great hotel.

Great range and quality of breakfast items, excellent service from every member of hotel staff we interacted with. We had an issue with our room (middle of night noise from next door returning as walls are paper thin) and were moved straight away without any issues. Location is fantastic and lounge bar is a lovely way to round off a day’s sightseeing- overall would highly recommend this, but if you are a light sleeper be sure to bring some earplugs.

The Staff was very nice and helpful. The Rooftop view is beautiful. The room itself needs upgrades. The bathroom is very small, and walls are thin. We heard every hallway door open and close. The air vent is directed towards the headboard and both of us woke up sick and with a cold. We had it set to the lowest fan setting. The blankets were thin as it was their “summer” bedding but was later on given a thicker blanket upon request. Also, our room key disappeared from our room while we were out which was concerning. Overall I wouldn’t rate this a 4 star property.

The hotel has amazing views from their rooftop terrace. We enjoyed drinks there one evening with a view of the Acropolis and spent time one day in the jacuzzi, again with the Acropolis in front of us.The buffet breakfast offered plenty of food for a variety of palates. But the best part of the hotel was the staff. All were incredibly friendly and helpful with a special shout out to Tsompika. All of that was BEFORE my sister fell. I could tell that she needed medical care and did not know what to do. I called Herodion Hotel and asked whether we should head back to the hotel and then call a doctor or go to a hospital. They told us exactly where to go. All staff were truly concerned about my sister's health and managed to extend our stay for her hospitalization. This is our forever hotel in Athens.

The staff and service at this hotel was exceptional. They went out of their way at every turn to be helpful and accommodating. They arranged for our transport to the airport at 4:00 in the morning and even offered us a breakfast box to go! We never touched our luggage, they greeted us at the door upon arrival and loaded everything in our taxi at departure. The hotel and room were absolutely beautiful and close to everything. Five stars in all aspects!! Thank you!!!!

Friendliness of every staff at the front desk was what stood out for me. Excellent choice of food at breakfast, which was included. It’s very close or even walkable to major attractions of the city. Only con I may mention is the signal strength of wifi inside room, which can have some attention from hotel management. Overall, we had a very positive experience and my wife demanded that we only stay at this property next time we come back to Athens.

From the beaming smile of the bellman to the warmth of the front desk, I felt comfortable and welcomed. Throughout the service was impeccable. They informed me of an upcoming taxi strike and set up a car service. The food in the atrium was very good and as a solo woman they went out of their way to provide just the right balance of attention and privacy. Next day I was with a large group of family and friends at the rooftop terrace. Highly recommend the Masticha cocktail. The views are unbeatable.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel. We were delighted to receive a room upgrade which gave a balcony with view of the Acropolis. The buffet breakfast was amazing. When we had to leave early on our departure date the desk staff volunteered to provide us with a box breakfast to take to the airport.

Such a wonderful experience with the staff at this property. Everyone was so helpful, we even lost something with sentimental meaning in the taxi on the way to the airport and the staff was able to retrieve and get it sent back to us in the states. Prompt communication and just cannot say enough nice things about the staff! Enjoyed the rooftop space, but the hot tub area with the views of the acropolis were really special. would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was excellent all around. The service was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. The breakfast was great with a good variety to choose from. Even though our flight arrived at 9 AM, the staff kindly checked us in an hour early and were very apologetic that they couldn’t accommodate us even earlier—which we truly appreciated. The location is fantastic—just steps from the Acropolis Museum. When you exit from the museum’s subterranean level, simply head down and take a right—you’ll be at the hotel in about a minute. Couldn’t be more convenient.

We were delighted with our stay at the Herodion. The view of the Acropolis from the roof-top bar was just icing on the cake. The location is fantastic if you want to spend time in the Acropolis Museum and the area around the Acropolis and the Promenade. I highly recommend.

Herodion Athens has a prime location to the highlights on Athens. It is located next to the entrance to the Acropolis. It is located within walking distance to excellent restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood of Plaka is within walking distance as well. The property itself is very well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. The complimentary breakfast is very good.

We so enjoyed our stay at the Herodion hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and had all the amenities we needed. The best part of the hotel was the location; right next to the Acropolis Museum and at the base of the Acropolis. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice and clean. Easy to walk to the Acropolis and shopping and dining options. Amazing view of the Acropolis from the rooftop bar, but make sure you make reservations early if you want to eat dinner there. There were no spots available for the days we were there. But we did make a reservation to go out for an after dinner cocktail and the view was spectacular.

Clean room, helpful staff, well prepared included breakfast, complimentary bottle of wine in our room and well stocked coffee and tea selection. The Point restaurant located on the 5th floor has incredible views of the Acropolis and the food is 5 Star! Front desk helped us with Taxi service and Hop-On-Hop-Off bus tickets. We arrived several hours prior to the check in time and they stored our luggage so we were free to roam around the Acropolis unhindered by luggage.

Hotel lobby restaurant has 4 entrees, and 1 is a hamburger. The associated lobby bar made laughably weak cocktails. In-room coffee supplies were never properly stocked. Every one of the 5 days we were there we had to call for coffee, stirrers, creamer, and or sugar (literally every morning!!) With that being said, the front desk people were awesome. It is almost impossible to use web based apps for reservations at most popular restaurants in Athens. The hotel staff worked tirelessly to get reservations by calling.
