Have stayed at this hotel in the past, this is why I chose to stay again. Booked through Expedia and was not informed the hotel was being renovated and there was no pool because it was under construction. Drills going off at 8:00 in the morning not a pleasant way to wake up when you are on vacation. Hotel staff was anything but sympathetic when we complained. Did not have a good experience unfortunately!☹️

We booked here as we were only in Athens for 3 nights and felt that that this would be a good standard, convenient and had a pool. It ticked all of those boxes. Immaculately clean, very polite staff, newly renovated & large, well appointed room. Be aware that because it’s an Intercontinental, food & drink charges are VERY expensive. My daughter ordered a chocolate milkshake by the pool- she was brought two scoops of chocolate icecream in a small glass instead- delicious, but not worth 16euros! The first night we were tired so ate in the lounge- 70 euro for a mediocre chicken burger and Greek salad with 4 small pieces of feta. Worst of all was the rooftop bar- amazing views but a non alcoholic ‘cocktail’- in reality ginger ale with a splash of rum flavour was 17Euro and most of the the glass was taken up by a gigantic column of ice. A glass of wine was perfectly reasonable at 9 Euro, but be aware. The pool is fantastic but you have to get there early or you won’t get a sun lounger. I personally like to get up and swim early but for some reason this pool doesn’t open until 10am, and closes at 8pm so if you wanted to use it before a day of sightseeing or tours, or before a business meeting, forget it. I don’t understand why it can’t open earlier. CafeZoe is a nice breakfast room. Hot drinks were slow to come, if at all, but the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Location is good a short walk to Syngrou Fix Metro but you take your life in your hands crossing the road!!

Nice hotel, very comfortable beds. But the pool was out of service without previous notice and not notated on their website. Very long lines checking in and checking out— checking in took 25 minutes. Coffee and basic drink were overpriced and not much else around so you will be paying $8-9 for a cup of coffee or a coke.

Perfectly fine - loved that our room had a (angled) view of the Acropolis. Tub is very high to climb over and you should offer slip proof tub mats. Also pool was freezing - can you heat it up about 5 degrees F. Thank you - otherwise great stay.

This was a great place to stay however, I came during a hot part of the summer and the pool was not available. This would’ve been fine had I been made to know to this prior to my arrival. My party was tired from a super long trip. I thought I would just spend the day swimming while I waited for them to nap, but instead, I sat in the lobby and walked around. There’s not a ton to do around the hotel and I didn’t want to sightsee without my family. My rate also included the use of a pool. However, the breakfast was delicious, the staff was very kind, the property itself is absolutely beautiful! I would stay here again and again!

I like the fact that the hotel has modern amenities and it is usually clean. One small problem, however, is that sometimes the workers come in to clean and forgot to replace shower gel in bathroom, or they come in to clean, take away the used towels and fail to replace them with new ones. We had to remind them about 3 times (separate days) about these things. Not sure if they simply forget things often or if they are not paying close attention to what they are doing. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.

Great hotel, great location within easy reach of the main attractions and with view of the Acropolis. Very friendly and welcoming staff. It's being refurbed and we were in a refurbed room which was nicely done and very comfortable. Had an club room so access to the executive longe which is well worth it with breakfast, afternoon tea and 3 hours of canapés and drinks in an evening. Friendly team in the executive lounge who look after you. Top notch !

Property is very outdated, however they seem to be doing renovations now. I would not consider this a 5 star hotel. Air conditioner rattled consistently. Food options limited as the rooftop restaurant was closed both nights we were there. Cleaning service was mostly pleasant, however we did encounter one that was clearly upset we asked for more bottles of water.

Booked two rooms - they are very spacious - definitely upgrade to a suite with a view of the acropolis - it is worth it - the rooftop dining experience was magical with an incredible view of the acropolis/parthenon. Food was fantastic. Staff was very helpful, welcoming and they go the extra mile to make your stay wonderful - even a small cake for a family birthday we were celebrating. Renovated rooms look great and even have espresso machines (with the pods) in them - showers are awesome! Great hotel! Perfect for elderly parents and us - newly renovated pool was nice and spa has sauna and steam shower - and was perfect combo with massage and body scrub services

Dated property. Old room, uncomfortable beds and extremely squeaky couch to sleep for kids. Beds were NOT set up. Had to wait extra for bed sheets after checking in. No conditioner in the bathroom. TV extremely pixelated (bad reception).

The room was very clean and we had a nice little living room area to hang out. It was hot when we were there and our room stayed very cool the entire time. the bathroom was a little outdated but everything else about this place was amazing. The most comfortable bed and the restaurant with the rooftop view of Acropolis was excellent. Anytime I go to Athens I will want to stay here!

We had a junior suite for a family of 5 and it far exceeded our expectations. We had plenty of space to spread out and 2 full bathrooms, one of which had a full shower and tub. The staff was wonderful and attentive. Location was a 10 minute taxi drive from most things we did. The rooftop bar has a wonderful view of the Acropolis.

As a touring artist im contractual demand Intercontinental hotels at all stops where available..after our last stop in istanbul (awesome Intercontinental 5*+)instead of heading home we choose athens...this Intercontinental completely mis managed...i complained then just stopped as i would be complaining over and over...slow check in, staff not once opened xar door or welcomed, on phones or smoking, first breakfast so crowded not enough help cold food impossible to even get coffee, room service a mess from what we should get (sharing hand towel, no shower mat, etc)one day with no towels, conditioner empty never filled, i just stopped after complaining about the coffee to then endessly apologized too...it appears they have a lot of staff doing nothing except apologizing...they made well by giving me a voucher for a glass of house wine, beer or soda at thier bar and reimbursing me for two soups...this Intercontinental is by far way far the worst ive visited and ive been in over 30 dif around the world...mismanagement all around...if i was managing and see seven people waiting to check in and one person working but yet five staff standing behinfmd counter on cell phones, completely overwhelmed breakfast staff but two staff to ask your room # but never helping....if i return to athens touring or vaca i wouldnt step foot here again.could stay at a low end marriott and get coffee at breakfast, toweks fir two in the room daily, refilled shower soaps, etc.worst Intercontinental

Convenient location of the hotel to city center and Acropolis. The room was great and beds were super comfortable. The breakfast quality was very average and the staff didn't seem very engaged. The bell captain and staff were super friendly & made arrival/departure smooth.

This hotel had exceptional service and everyine was very professional! Once we called to ask about the times of one of their restaurant hours, they answered that and in additional offered to make a reservation for us. We felt like celebrities for our honeymoon. We had exceptional fresh fish option for one of tge breakfast buffet options. And once they became aware of our honeymoon, they gave us champagne. We would definitely visit again once we go back to Athens in the future.

Great breakfast. Awesome high end restaurant on top floor plus a good one on the main floor. Reasonably close to bus tour pickup point. Close to tram that takes you to central city. Bit of a walk to the metro but one can take the tram to the metro. Surrounding area is run down but felt safe walking through it.

The hotel is located basically one Metro stop from the Acropolis. The hotel was great! The neighborhood where the hotel is located is a little bit rundown. However, I never felt scared to walk around. I would just be a little bit cautious in the late night hours. There was always a taxi waiting outside in the event that you wanted to go somewhere however we chose to use the metro, which was approximately a four block walk. The pool was a little on the small side and usually busy. For us it was not a problem because we chose to take a short 10 minute cab ride to the beach. So we didn’t spend much time at the pool. The lobby had a beautiful seating area with a very nice bar if you wanted to grab a drink in the evening. The airport is approximately a 30 minute drive from the hotel, which will cost you approximately €50. But once you’re at the hotel, you can access all the big attractions by taking a short metro ride or a short cab ride to the center of Athens. I definitely think it’s a great spot if you don’t want to be in the middle of Athens and around all the congestion.

A bit far for tourists to visit the Acropolis etc in AthensThe walk to the nearest subway station entailed crossing a high speed roadway so fairly dangerous. Hotel seemed basically for conventions and airline crew and not so convenient for tourists and leisure travelers

The staff was exceptional, especially at the Premiere rooftop restaurant and blue couch lounge in the lobby. Their breakfast buffet is pricey, but amazing. The bathroom is large with plenty of hot water and good water pressure.
