The staff will go out of their way to assist with anything you need. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Do take note of the limited parking especially during busy periods. Breakfast is great however the dinner option is limited to pizza and 2 pasta choices.

If you are parking in the car park get the discount code before you pay for parking otherwise it is 50pounds a day

Good location for short walk into Bath. Disappointing about the additional and high parking charge, but I understand the car park does not actually belong to the hotel? £25 for 24 hrs was something I hadn’t budgeted for.

Its unfortunate that a parking space can't be guaranteed for visitors. Its bad enough having to pay in the first place, but to pay upfront with no guarantee of getting what you've paid for is totally unfair!

Property is nice. Short walk to town. Limited paid parking on site (don’t recommend moving your car if you don’t have to).

I booked a room for two adults and two 17 year olds. The room contained a double bed and a very small ‘double’ sofa bed. The sofa bed might have been large enough for two five year olds but no one older. After a couple of talks with staff, I was given another room so we could be accommodated. We paid £25 for parking and left within the time but still received a £100 parking ticket - do not park there. We are currently trying to appeal the ticket. Not a good experience.

Hotel is a great Holiday Inn Express, but only stay here if you think £50 per night to park your car is OK which it absolutely ISNT

Shame you are allowed to make a payment of £15 for overnight stay. However there is no guarantee of parking slot if you left the premises and returned. Alternative parking provided also means you pay for another overnight stay cost! Terrible

The property is well situated and close to the town high street. The issue is parking. The property is advertised as having pay parking but the issue is that it fills up and then you need to park about a 10 minute walk away at another parking lot. If I had known that I would have stayed at another property right in Bath. The parking situation is NOT fully disclosed in the description.

The room was dirty. The carpet had all.marks over it and the bathroom was dirty. The skirting boards where dirty. Breakfast was good not loads to choose from but enough.

Modern and clean hotel just outside city centre. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Good communal space, breakfast had a good selection and was good quality. Air con plus opening windows. Onsite parking a bonus.

Paid £148 for a Friday night (not a public holiday) and still had a very noisy room. Housekeeping miss: used towels left behind the door. And on top of that, you still have to pay for parking — £17 for a short overnight (arrived 5pm, left 10am) — with no guarantee of a space if you leave and come back, so you’re paying for uncertainty. The staff were friendly and helpful, but warm service can’t offset the noise, cleanliness lapse, and paid-parking hassle.

Hotel room was dirty carpet had loads of bits of food and dirt on it. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for about 10 seconds at around 4am which disturbed our sleep and made our baby cry. I could hear other people in other rooms talking and banging doors. Breakfast was a disaster, long queues, no plates, knifes or cups available had to go up multiple times to get items as and when they were replenished. Really poor service. And no high chair available as all in use. Need to get more.

It was very disappointing since I paid nearly £180 per night to have a room with carpets smudged with many stains. No cleaning or change of towels took place, rubbish bins were not emptied., we used the cups in the room for tea and we had to do the washing up ourselves so we can use them again.

Dissapointing stay. Checked in late at property. Car park was full. Instructed to park at alternate area. Later received fine via car rental company. Subsequently paid for carpark too. Now out of pocket for parking and fine payment. Secondly aircon in room was not working. Staff were unable to rectify issue, gave us portable fan which was inadequate on a warm night.

Rooms are tiny and a bit run down. The AC unit was noisy at night and kept us up. I would not recommend it; we did not sleep well.

If you are a couple or a single person, this is actually not a bad hotel. It's in a decent location, clean, and has a nice little bar to enjoy. But we were, unfortunately, a family of four. The 'family' room was comically small. We had to play Tetris to get us and our luggage even in the room. Once the couch was pulled out to accommodate the kids, there was no moving around.

Never book family rooms in that hotel, no space and a tiny second bed. Breakfast the worst during our Trip.

It was a very warm period when we stayed. So delighted to find air con in room, but the first night found it just did not work. It was very uncomfortable in the room. Reported it to the manageress who was no help at all, simply said that’s it it’s working without checking it. The next day we reported it again to a different person who said they would check it out. Eventually got a fan which made it a little bit more comfortable but it simply spoiled a lovely trip.

Room was decent. The air-conditioning did not work despite the assurance by the front desk staff. After 2 more room changes, the front desk staff assured that it is working. But unfortunately it did not. The corridor outside the room and the rest of the hotel was much cooler. Parking was onsite, but do remember to get the code for a reduced rate when checking in. Payment for parking is at an automated machine at the lobby.

Wouldn’t recommend the family room. The sofa bed was slightly larger than a single bed and therefore not suitable for 2 people.

I know it is a Holiday Inn Express but they should warn you the room is the size of a shoe box. Too small for 3 people!

Myself and a friend were in Bath for one night as part of a golf trip. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Had a nice cold pint on tap before heading up to our twin room for a very hot shower and then heading out for a night out in Bath. The room including the bedding and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The beds and pillows perfect. I think the mattress may be more comfortable than my own. We were going to get breakfast but it was exceptionally busy at 9am so chose not to. The staff had warned us to be early if we wanted breakfast. We were lucky to get a parking space. A little frustrating to have to pay £17.50 but I do appreciate why (Bath is a small city set in and around a valley). At check in staff explained how to get the discount on the machine in the lobby. The hotel send you a list of alternate parking if you can’t park at the hotel. This was a cracking hotel and did basics of what a hotel should do brilliantly. Will definitely use again if I’m in Bath again.

We booked our stay for three nights as a base for sightseeing in Bath and surrounding areas. We walked to the hotel from Bath Spa station, around a twenty minute walk, and the hotel is roughly a twenty minute walk from Bath Abbey and the main attractions in Bath itself. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was on the ground floor, right next to the car park, but the curtains gave plenty of privacy and there were no noise issues. The room was larger than we expected and very comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good but not perfect, and while housekeeping came in and made the bed each day, there was no sign of any other cleaning (e.g. toilet paper and tissues weren't replenished during our stay, the room wasn't vacuumed etc) Not a major issue for short stays. Breakfast is included, and is a buffett of hot items as well as the usual pastries, cereals etc. Everything was fresh and tasted good. Most of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and welcoming. The only exception was one of the staff members serving at the bar during our stay. We asked about bar food (as other guests had food) and she told us just to walk to a nearby restaurant. After reluctantly providing menus, she again told us we should just go to a restaurant. While we'd have been happy with the small snacks from the bar, we ended up going back out as the staff member made us feel a little unwelcome. Every other staff member was great and overall a good base for a short stay in Bath.

It is what it is. A bed for the night. We went with the cheapest option and we got it. Gentleman at the Front desk has no interest in any questions that tourists might have. Sort of close to the city of Bath. Can walk it in about 10-15 minutes. But wouldn’t want too at night, area is a little unsure. There is an excellent excellent Indian restaurant across the street, very expensive but worth it. Won’t stay there again when we go back.

Great location, 15 minute walk into Bath, 5 minutes to The Crescent. Very helpful staff, really quiet room.

Perfect location - only 10min walk to centre of town. Supermarket across the road, lots of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was basic but served its purpose. Room was clean and modern. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Hot breakfast was disappointing. It had been left standing so was rubbery and dry. I think the scrambled eggs might be powdered so they weren't nice. Property is nice. Good carparking but expensive even with discount. Location is good but is a 15 min walk. Weather was great when we went so it was no bother.

Holiday Inn need to sort out their "free" breakfast. Very poor experience for vegetarians. Scrambled eggs is the only option and they are so over-salted as to be inedible. Meat-free alternatives to sausages and bacon would be great, but simple non-meat items like mushrooms and hash browns would be welcome. Even Premier Inn gets this right (and they do fried eggs as well as scrambled) If you\'re going to feature your "free" breakfast in your advertising, at least make it edible.

Our experience and stay was very good, however the breakfast was a shambles! No cutlery, no food, tables full of dirty plates and staff stood around chatting. No baked beans, handheld browns, croissants no glasses for the juice. The food was fine if you could get any. Some users walking around in PJs and bare feet all by the food, I actually think when seating people would staff not say that footwear is needed, I don’t want to eat breakfast looking at some ones filthy feet

Convenient hotel to stay at for a trip to bath, with the bonus of on site paid parking. Really good shower, comfortable bed. Only minor criticism is that the bacon at the buffet breakfast was swimming in oil. If they could have drained off the fat before putting it in the serving containers it would help. Also no fresh milk available for in room tea and coffee
