We love staying at the Doubletree, a bit expensive but phew we have Tesco vouchers. Rooms are comfy, staff are friendly. Food is reasonable prices, alcohol not so, but it is Bath. They did struggle with the breakfast, a bit short of staff. There were no tomato's, no Alpen or the nuts. The bacon was strangely folded in half and way under cooked, still a cracking breakfast though. The major moan is the parking, £36 for 2 nights.

Staff were great, place was clean but checkin was an absolute nightmare. Housekeeping was delayed by an hour and we sat waiting in the lobby after being told someone would come get us when the room was ready. Nobody ever came and then when we finally queried at the desk again, our room had been ready for a while but nobody bothered to come and tell us. Also only one lift was working and the one that did work was really slow. On the top floor this was a bit of a pain. Although the room was nice and breakfast was good, I don't think I'd stay here again.

Stayed at this property few times and usually excellent. However, one of the lifts was out of order which resulted big ques on floors trying to get lift down for checkout. 2 lifts for a property this size is poor anyway but the lift was broken when we visited a couple of months earlier so the problem is very slow to be resolved. Great rooms! Comfy, clean and roomy. Excellent breakfast!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was central to all the sites. Tons of restaurants, pubs, bakeries, and coffee shops within walking distance. Grocery store next door made getting water and snacks easy and affordable. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Only negative comment is that one of the lifts was not working so you sometimes had to wait quite a bit if you had luggage. This was really only an issue during checkout time.

Stay was let down by only one lift working for the whole weekend. Extended wait periods from our 4th floor room to get out. Poor signage prevented finding the correct staircase to reach the lobby. Disgraceful lack of maintenance of the whole facility. No air conditioning, only one small lift (4people) working for 200 bedroom hotel. Tiny double bed. Toilet seat loose. Only one bedside table.

Really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The location is excellent - only 10 minutes walk from most of the sights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a good shower. Breakfast was very good. Although the hotel doesn't have it's own parking, the Podium car park is right next door.

We stayed as a family with our disabled daughter. Our family room was really lovely. It was a good size, very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a nice breakfast as well. The main negative issue we had was there was only one working lift at the hotel - which made access for us quite difficult. Apart from this we had a really good stay

The staff were fine but on arrival we found rubbish to be collected outside of our room and the room nextdoor. Given check-in was 4pm, there should have been plenty of time to clean up. Our room smelt of mold and we soon found out why. There was mold over the ceiling of the shower area and over the tiles. I also found dirty towels in our clean towel pile. I showed pictures and a video to staff but they were unable to offer me a discount as I booked through Expedia. For quite an expensive overnight stay, it's not the standard of room I expect. Especially as it's easily rectifiable.

The public areas are excellent and inviting. Thank you for the constant supply of cold water fountains during an extreme heatwave. The criticism is for poor HOUSEKEEPING. We stayed 5 nights. Used cups/glasses never collected, room never vacuumed, liquid soap dispensers never replenished, toilet paper almost depleted (we had to ask), bed making just thrown together, our room totally forgotten one day. Seems to be a real lack of staff, training and supervision in this department.

The room we were assigned was not well maintained. The price we paid was too much for a room in such condition. The window was left open so there was outdoor debris on our bed. The window was also very dirty and full of spider webs and the bathroom was in terrible condition. Handle was falling off the door. The door stop was hanging down, the shower had mold and the tray and drain were broken. The toilet flush was also only working on one side. The fridge was on the side rather than in the cupboard where it should be. Also the door didn't have a lock. It was broken. Overall, not the best kept Doubletree hotel I've stayed at.

Great staff, property tired. We had mould on the windows and in the bathroom of our room. The floor under the pull out sofa had an old slipper and hair ties so hadn’t been cleaned out in a while. Pretty pricey considering condition of the room. Breakfast pretty good

We stayed in room 333 and it turned out one of the Windows was not alle to close proper mean we did freze ever night despit we informed reception about it. The cleaning of the room was catastrophic bad. We found a papir - used - mens boxshorts in the cabinet. Disgusting... All this we addressed when checking out and was offered a refound of 25 percent which we accepted. We just never received the refund. Extreem poor staff at this hotel. No interest in the guests. Only 1 positiv comment. The location off the hotel is perfect...

The hotel was not like the web site . Difficulty with actually talking to anyone. Any problems the stock answere was "Not our faut because it was a Booking doc com or which ever" Expecting a bath as seen on the web site told none in the hotel,, The room was ok but coffe stains and sticky stuff on bed side tables and dressing table. The carpet was not clean Explained about it the next morning to be told "We will get onto it immediately" Still there that evening. We came back to the hotel after 5pm and room still had not been done. I do understand about turn overs but that was not very good and yes the coffee stains and sticky stuff still there. I actually spoke to the clesners and then it was cleared up with difficulty. I did speak to the receptionist again this time a manager. One good point was the night staff. I managed to spill a cup of coffee ouver the quilt I rang down and a nice chap got us a replacement This stay was a break getting ready for Christmas. The hotel was expensive and on paying that price I expected at least a clean room. The morning dining room staff where very nice and lovely. So to sum up Expensive Hotel for the room Service for the room very poor, Speaking to someone pre booking Poor Reception staff had stock answer Not our fault." Cleanliness poor. For the type of hotel and a Hilton group value for money No. Very disapointed. Bath lovely stall holders great.

Great location, close to Bath town centre and right next to two parking lots and supermarket! Staff were friendly and the room condition needed a bit TLC. The fridge broke and hair drier were broken, and bathroom sink was blocked. It's a functional hotel with great location.

I was very disappointed with our room for the price we paid, the window was drafty window sill was very lose when we complained about the draft they put a towel on the sill. We wasn't happy because the room was cold all night. And the shower wasn't very clean either, so we asked for another room and that was much better. Where the hotel was great for getting around because it's in the middle of everything we wanted to visit. But i have stayed in better hotel's and cheaper.

Disappointed with this hotel. The rooms are tiny and were too small for our large luggage. I had to upgrade, which cost 30 pounds, to have a room big enough to open our suitcase. The front desk is chronically understaffed, and not well trained. No one answers the phone. Breakfast was fine. In summary very aveage, and quite expensive.

Stayed here to go to the Robbie Williams concert in Bath It was reasonable price compared to a lot of others in the area and walking distance to the Crescent and train station The room was lovely and clean with a river view and lovely comfy beds. The bathroom was clear and a good shower. The breakfast was fantastic - everything you could possibly want and the gentleman showing everyone to their tables was really friendly and a credit to the hotel

Room was clean tidy and very comfortable. Only problem there was air conditioning unit right outside our window to the right of the room . This was continuously going off and on all night . Kept me awake all night . Disappointed if I’m honest but everything was lovely .

Avoid if possible. First of all issues with checking in as they did not have one of my confirmed Expedia bookings in their system. Took approximately 45 minutes to sort out (staff blamed it on "The System" only to learn that our assigned room would not be ready until 4:15. Came back at that time, room still not ready and another wait to be re-booked into another room. Room itself was OK, on the small side but clean and modern. On our second day we left to explore Bath at around 11:00 a.m., and noticed housekeeping were outside our room. We got back around 3:30 p.m only to find that housekeeping had not been to our room despite being literally outside four and a half hours earlier. Went to reception, another long wait as only one staff member on duty and was told that housekeeping were still preparing rooms for new check-ins and that they would get to our room "sometime later". I asked if I could at least get clean towels and was told that they would try their best. Headed back to the room to encounter housekeeping in the corridor cleaning another room. Thankfully the supervisor (Adrian) was able to help me out with towels, water and coffee and was very apologetic about the lack of service (due to staff calling in sick) unlike the reception staff whose attitude was very poor. About half an hour later another staff member did follow up but for the price we had paid we would expect a higher level of responsiveness.

Took approximately 45 minutes to sort out (staff blamed it on "The System" only to learn that our assigned room would not be ready until 4:15. Came back at that time, room still not ready and another wait to be re-booked into another room. Room itself was OK, on the small side but clean and modern. Staff were great, place was clean but checkin was an absolute nightmare. Housekeeping was delayed by an hour and we sat waiting in the lobby after being told someone would come get us when the room was ready. Nobody ever came and then when we finally queried at the desk again, our room had been ready for a while but nobody bothered to come and tell us. Also only one lift was working and the one that did work was really slow. On the top floor this was a bit of a pain. Although the room was nice and breakfast was good, I don't think I'd stay here again.

I checked in online and downloaded the digital room key. Unfortunately, this did not enable the lights to be activated and a card was required for this. Having got a card the digital key was never used. The card did not operate the lights when we got back to the room and a member of staff had to come and fix the light switch. we certainly enjoyed our cup of tea after 3 trips to reception up and down the stairs to the 2nd floor! It was good for the step count and fitness regime... When I ordered drinks at the bar to be charged to our room I had to go back again to reception as my card had not been added to my account. Perhaps all of these issues could be solved by having a checklist of questions when someone checks in. Our room was clean but only got serviced once, the day before we left, during our stay. It was very hot and we were unable to turn down the heating. Leaving the window open did not help, it just made it warmer, logically this made sense as the heating worked harder to heat the cooling room! Having said all that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Really enjoyed our stay here at doubletree Hilton in Bath. Very convenient for Bath local sights. The staff were so helpful and friendly which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Food in the restaurant was great for evening meal as was the breakfast selection . We will definitely be back.

Location is superb, and the underground Podium carpark, though separately managed, is convenient and spacious where city-centre parking is at a premium. The hotel has had a fairly recent refurbishment, so rooms are clean and modern, but the reception area and rooms do have a cramped feeling for a Hilton. Given the rich architectural history of the city as a whole, this hotel seems somewhat lacking in character by comparison, but on the other hand, the facilities and accessibility etc are up to date.

Stayed here to go to the Robbie Williams concert in Bath It was reasonable price compared to a lot of others in the area and walking distance to the Crescent and train station The room was lovely and clean with a river view and lovely comfy beds. The bathroom was clear and a good shower. The breakfast was fantastic - everything you could possibly want and the gentleman showing everyone to their tables was really friendly and a credit to the hotel

Really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The location is excellent - only 10 minutes walk from most of the sights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a good shower. Breakfast was very good. Although the hotel doesn't have it's own parking, the Podium car park is right next door.

We love staying at the Doubletree, a bit expensive but phew we have Tesco vouchers. Rooms are comfy, staff are friendly. Food is reasonable prices, alcohol not so, but it is Bath. They did struggle with the breakfast, a bit short of staff. There were no tomato's, no Alpen or the nuts. The bacon was strangely folded in half and way under cooked, still a cracking breakfast though. The major moan is the parking, £36 for 2 nights.

Visiting Bath for a rugby match meant the hotel was in a great location. Easy walking distance to the Rex. Easy walking distance to all the bars shops and restaurants. Lovely welcome from staff in reception, friendly bar staff - delicious food and food menu in the evening although some choices were not available at 8pm on a Saturday night despite there being only 3 tables filled. Great breakfast buffet. Only complaint for the weekend was reporting the toilet flush/ cistern not working properly in the room on the Saturday and nothing was done about it during our stay.
