We only stayed one night but next time we’ll stay a few more. The remodel and repurpose of this old Elks club came out great. The patio and courtyard areas were cozy with plenty of seating. Many restaurants just a short walk from the hotel.

In the moment we arrived.. valet was helpful. We arrived a little early and they already had our room ready. This hotel is beautiful! Lots of details and staff goes way and beyond to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Hotel is walkable distance from restaurants and shopping. I felt safe and will definitely return again.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel San Buena. Everything is so thoughtfully curated, and the space is beautiful. Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly and helpful - the vibe was really welcoming. The location one block from the Main Street walking area with all it's shops and restaurants was fantastic. It was also an easy walk to the pedestrian bridge over to the pier. We wish we'd been there longer to take advantage of the bikes available to borrow! We really appreciated the complimentary snacks and drinks in our room as well as the evening cookies. Our room in the historic building was thoughtfully appointed and had everything we needed. It's worth noting that the bathroom shower and sink area is not a separate room, but a glassed off area, so it's definitely a set-up for people who are either solo or very comfortable with each other. We'd absolutely stay again and hope to do so!

This is a beautiful property. You can walk to Main St where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The place is clean, the walls are a little thin though, since it is an old building. There was a group that came in and were in the room next to us and they were talking and laughing and very very loud, I had to call the front desk to let them know. The next morning I heard someone sneeze in the next room! Overall, I would say that this property is beautiful.

The property is beautiful!! The room was so cozy and extremely clean!! The bed and pillows are so very comfortable. ALL of the staff was so very kind and helpful. After going out for an evening, it was so nice to come back to cold water bottles on the night stand and some chocolate covered nuts as a nice snack. 10/10 we will definitely be back

Loved this property. The regular rooms aren’t very practical, however, if you need to get any work done (there is no desk or even table to work from in the room). It is also odd to have nowhere to hang any clothes (just some drawers under the tv) at all so would mean living out of your suitcase for the duration of the trip. Perfect for a short stay. Excellent staff and beautiful rooms despite the lack of basic practical elements. At the end of the Main Street so perfect location.

Truly a gem of a hotel - it’s beautiful, the rooms are huge, the staff is AMAZING, the coffee service that Tim provides in the morning is so perfect, beautiful and delicious. The nightly turn down service always includes a special treat, often freshly baked cookies. I’ve stayed multiple times in many rooms, and have been impressed every time!

Beautiful boutique hotel. Quiet, amazing beds. Lovely staff. Within walking distance of Main St restaurants and shopping. Glass Shower in the bedroom was a little off-putting. Valet parking was slow and expensive. We just parked on the street the 2nd night.

We checked in very late a little before midnight Joshua was the person who checked this in and he was very accommodating and showed us three different rooms we could choose from. The hotel was an old Elks Lodge but has been remodeled quite nicely. They were complimentary beverages in our refrigerator and I would certainly stay here again if I was in the area.

It felt like we were in a private setting with so much attention to detail! Its location is fabulous, walking distance to the beach AND fabulous Main Street and Downtown! I highly recommend this gem before the word gets out!! Run, don’t walk, and book here!! We are already planning our comeback! 💗🙏🎇

We only stayed one night but next time we’ll stay a few more. The remodel and repurpose of this old Elks club came out great. The patio and courtyard areas were cozy with plenty of seating. Many restaurants just a short walk from the hotel.

What a wonderful stay! I was so impressed with Hotel San Buena. The staff were incredibly accommodating and kind. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown, yet it's quiet and tucked away from the main street, offering the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely return!

In the moment we arrived.. valet was helpful. We arrived a little early and they already had our room ready. This hotel is beautiful! Lots of details and staff goes way and beyond to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Hotel is walkable distance from restaurants and shopping. I felt safe and will definitely return again.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel San Buena. Everything is so thoughtfully curated, and the space is beautiful. Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly and helpful - the vibe was really welcoming. The location one block from the Main Street walking area with all it's shops and restaurants was fantastic. It was also an easy walk to the pedestrian bridge over to the pier. We wish we'd been there longer to take advantage of the bikes available to borrow! We really appreciated the complimentary snacks and drinks in our room as well as the evening cookies. Our room in the historic building was thoughtfully appointed and had everything we needed. It's worth noting that the bathroom shower and sink area is not a separate room, but a glassed off area, so it's definitely a set-up for people who are either solo or very comfortable with each other. We'd absolutely stay again and hope to do so!

Beautifully appointed hotel. You can tell that a lot of thought and effort went into the design. It has a historic feel to it but it is remodeled and modern. Comfortable rooms with large shower. Nice ambience. Very walkable to restaurants and bars.

Truly a gem of a hotel - it’s beautiful, the rooms are huge, the staff is AMAZING, the coffee service that Tim provides in the morning is so perfect, beautiful and delicious. The nightly turn down service always includes a special treat, often freshly baked cookies. I’ve stayed multiple times in many rooms, and have been impressed every time!

The hotel was amazing, upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Jon at the front desk, Collin handled our bags and we had a gorgeous historical room. We left for a bit and returned to complimentary sweets and extra water, the bed was so comfortable and the hotel smelled amazing. we had the privilege of meeting the owner after check out and he gave us a tour of the hotel, it was built in the 1920s and was fully restored with an additional wing just over a year ago, the hotel was in terrible disrepair just before the renovations and it has been restored to its former glory, the room we stayed in was original to the building and the hotel just got it’s liquor license approved so it will also include a new bar and restaurant next year. We look forward to returning and seeing the new additions in the near future.

The property is beautiful!! The room was so cozy and extremely clean!! The bed and pillows are so very comfortable. ALL of the staff was so very kind and helpful. After going out for an evening, it was so nice to come back to cold water bottles on the night stand and some chocolate covered nuts as a nice snack. 10/10 we will definitely be back

Hotel San Buena is a must whether you are a visitor to the area or a local looking for a perfect getaway. The rooms are the epitome of luxury. Every detail of the hotel was so thoughtfully curated - the bath products, complimentary snack basket, clothes steamer and more. The staff are fantastic - truly cannot recommend enough!

This hotel saved us after having to check out of an awful Airbnb. The staff was so friendly and helpful. There’s garage parking which was nice since it was so hot out. We had the 2 bedroom 2 bath villa (The Hobson) and it was beautiful. Perfectly clean and spacious, perfect for our family of 4. The property is quiet and in a great location. Our new favorite So Cal hotel! We’ll definitely be back.
