The Bradford Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Need to know upfront that this facility has no parking if you are pulling a trailer. Had to park a block away. Room was clean, the bed squeaked whenever you rolled over.

Just a warning: there’s no parking for a vehicle pulling any kind of trailer. You can unhook but no parking for truck and trailer. Desk clerk was extremely courteous and helpful. Clean and comfortable.

We were really surprised at how nice and spacious the room was. The bathroom vanity separate from the actual bathroom was awesome. Even had a nice bench and chair to sit on. The refrigerator was the largest one I’ve ever seen in a hotel. It was like a miniature normal fridge with a separate freezer door from the rest. Only cons were we heard a little noise throughout the night with being in the hospital district. We heard sirens and a helicopter in the middle of the night. Also wasn’t a big fan of not having direct access to the lobby. Set up more like a motel where all the doors to the rooms are exterior access only but not a dealbreaker.

The facility was overall clean. The room was clean, but it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The room had a remodel, but the smell was honestly horrible. I normally never comment on rooms, but the smell was offensive and there was no ice. I had to ring the bell multiple times before someone came to check me in.

Good room for the price. No elevators so if you get booked on 2nd floor prepare for stairs with your luggage.

Had to find affordable stay while doing some family business. This one popped up and looked best for value. Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately gap in door allowed crickets in room and the air conditioner unit struggled to keep room cool but had a lot of humidity inside. Amenities such as ice machine never worked while there and staff didn't have a solution or alternative.

The stay was as expected. We don’t usually stay at a “motel” with outside entries but the location and price were important. The hotel is no frills but clean, comfortable, and convenient.

This is a motel, so expect that and all that comes with it. That being said, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the bed was not too bad!

Came to Springfield to take my wife to her first Springfield Symphony Orchestra concert. The hotel was conveniently located right off of National so it was an easy drive to the MSU campus for the performance. The breakfast was better than advertised, and the room was comfortable. My only issue was difficulty opening the door when we arrived(the latch opened up instead o down) and persistent trouble closing the door. I would definitely stay again but be aware all the rooms are accessible from the outside; there is no inside access.

The breakfast was ok. (Sausage, eggs and biscuits) nothing special. !st room was awful! Somebody had peed in the bed and it had soaked to the mattress! The manager offered no compensation for the inconvenience! Not even we are sorry this happened. Staff should have handled the situation much differently, rather than acting like i made this up! The housekeeper agreed that the mattress should be replaced and the room was closed for rental.

I booked this hotel based on all the “good” reviews it has…misleading! The property’s appearance is good, it also looks like an ok area. We were there for medical reasons, the location was near our destination. We had no issues of vandalism or noise, the room its self looked nice but looks are deceiving! At check in, the front desk person said hardly anything to us. I gave him my name he asked for card and ID. He pointed us to our room and that was all. I had to ask about breakfast hours because he didn’t even offer that to us. Once in the room the smell of smoke was awful. We turned on the AC hoping it would help. It was so late we were ready for bed, we had been on the road 12+ hrs. We hardly slept. The pillows and shower curtains were disgusting, towels smelled like smoke. For the price of this room I bet I could have gotten a better one at a different hotel.

Great stay, great hotel for the money EXCEPT, I dropped something behind the bed, retrieved it, and found under the headboard disgusting. Discoloration, what appeared to be mold, and dust. I did not expect that. We have stayed at this property when the hotel was under a different name, and would probably stay again, but this experience was sub par. PS The pair of glasses I left in the room were from under that bed board.

This was a nice option for an inexpensive hotel room. The room was clean. The breakfast area is clean. The room had a bit of a musty smell in the ceiling tiles had been removed from a ceiling above the check-in area overall not a bad experience, but could’ve been a little bit better

Great. TV remote don’t work and there are no closets or bars to hang clothes. Weird.

Very quiet and clean. Two queen room was very spacious with a sitting area.

Noisy from highway. My room faces to highway and traffic sounds all night.

We love the blackout curtains. The room is nice and ac unit works very well.

Spacious rooms

One of the best rooms i have stayed in. The best easy and desk chairs in any of the 100's of rooms i have stayed in worldwide, including Four Seasons hotels. Wonderful big desk area and places to set stuff down (luggage, electronics, bags, gear, etc.). Larger refrigerator than i have ever seen in a hotel, separate freezer compartment with its own door. Outstanding value. Great location on south side, on US 60, near Medical Mile.

Very disappointing room. Bathroom ok for one very small person… terrible for two adults. Wife is slightly mobility challenged and bathroom was almost impossible to deal with. Lighting was fine in the bathroom side of the room, but so dark on the other side we had to use flashlights from phones to find things in the suitcases. Room darkening curtains had vinyl peeling off letting light through the holes as well as lots of light underneath. Towels and shower were great.

Staff took 25-30 minutes to check me in and the lady didn’t understand that my CAC was an ID til her manger told it was other than that it was pretty good for a one night stay

Definitely a great place to stay! Staff was friendly and helpful!!! Room was clean and comfortable! Breakfast was great, good selection of yogurt, juices, coffee, hot chocolate, cereals, breads, muffins, and hot selections such as biscuits and gravy and eggs and sausage! Would stay again!!!

I want to start out and say the hotel once we actually got in the room was nice and clean and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. But upon arrival we had issues getting checked in as I used hotel.com to book the room. The lady working at the front desk said her computer wasn't working and she couldn't get us checked in the hotel and it would probably be hours before she could do so. I tried to have her give us a room that was empty, she said she could not, so then I asked if she had a room to or space that we could get ready in as we were not from the area and is why we booked the hotel, and she said no,(there was a conference room on the top floor that was completely empty) and that she also could not give us a refund because it was booked through a third party, (hotel.com). We then go back to the car and wait in the freezing cold and snow to see what we should do. The computer started working and she then came outside to tell us so and we got our room finally. Once we got back into the hotel that night the hotel key would not work, (again it's snowing and 10 degrees outside and super windy). We call the front door number and a very nice lady came to reactivate our hotel key. I'm not sure why the key wasn't working I don't think it was activated correctly when the computer started working again upon checkin. Again the hotel itself was a nice clean room, but it was a very frustrating process and for them to say they couldn't help us or do anything to accommodate was

The room was amazing. The lady who was handling check-in and the breakfast buffet was rude upon check-in and kept telling everyone waiting for breakfast everything was as frozen and negative and hateful. The hotel itself was as a nice property, the rooms were very nice. The lady working the lobby at night was friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The front desk personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect location for me. This will be my go to place to stay when I’m in Springfield.

Courteous, smiling staff. I loved the double switch for the bathroom light and air vent. Didn't have to listen to the noise. (Little things matter). Nice breakfast.

Tv didn’t work, coffee pot in room didn’t work, coffee pot in lobby didn’t work. Breakfast was terrible. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Was a nice area Room was nice. Tub did not have a stopper to give my 2 yr old a bath. Breakfast was minimal (no waffle maker), overall was a good experience.

Check in went smoothly! I was glad to see they include a breakfast with good options. It is a little small, but honestly are enough options for everyone! I had trouble with the in room coffee maker, not sure if it was the machine or me lol! I will definately stay here again when my Dr. Appts are very early in the morning, or the weather is going to be bad. The staff are friendly and very accommodating when there are special needs.

We were in town for just a couple days, but our stay there was great. The staff were super friendly and the rooms were very clean and all newly remodeled. The continental breakfast hot items could use some improvement but other than that no complaints.

Wonderfully hotel. Super comfy beds. Loved the bigger fridge in the rooms. Breakfast, though not many options as other places, tasted wonderful.

The towels were the sofest I have ever found in a hotel. I thought there should have been a couple more options for breakfast.
