Although I was happy with the property and customer service, my son and I were disappointed that the hot tub was not in working. In addition, the steps and floor of the pool were so slippery, I almost injured myself. There was a film covering it that literally felt like oil. Needless to say, we did not feel comfortable swimming, and left immediately. We chose your hotel over others because of the hot tub and pool amenities, after having driven 12 straight hours from Orlando.

The staff was very kind and did their best to be as accommodating as possible with their broken elevator issue the majority of our stay. One desk clerk Monday night even carried my pizza up to my room so I could use both hand rails on the stairs to avoid further injury to my knee with the already torn meniscus and leaking baker’s cyst. Having to carry all our things down the stairs to check out was a chore and caused pain that wouldn’t have been invited if the elevator was working and a bell cart could’ve been used.

Area felt relatively safe, but isn't walkable for local dining options (except Burger King, I think). Quiet facilities overall. Breakfast was what you would expect. Ice machines weren't working when we were there, despite insistence that they were. Perhaps it was a fluke. I would stay here again.

Toilet, sink and shower was clean as well as the bedding... however the furniture, walls and carpet were in serious need of proper cleaning and upkeep. Walls in bathroom had grimy hand prints and smears and the desk chair was quite dirty and beat up so I would not sit in it. Looked like coffee or food spilled and embedded in the mesh. Hallways needed vacuumed as there were huge chunks of mud from people's boots tracked throughout the second floor. Unfortunately, we also got placed next to a very loud and inconsiderate group who had several rooms and they were yelling and making a lot of noise from about 1 am til nearly 3 am. The breakfast was adequate and area clean, as well as the pool (hot tub was out of order), but I would not choose to stay at this location again. Perhaps we just had an isolated incident, but there are too many other options and if done again, I'd choose another location.

This is a great hotel. The only thing I found upsetting was the hot tub. That is all it is, so if you expect bubbly jets this is not it.

Staff was nice, room was clean. The hot tub was not running and we were told at check-in that it had not been running for months. Unfortunately, we chose this hotel because it had a hot tub. Would have been nice to have had that noted on the website when we were searching for a place to stay - I did not check the hotel's actual website, only Hotels.com. Real bummer.

The property is old and in disrepair. When something is being sold again and again, there is no excuse for it not looking pristine every day! The shower held water and the stopper for the drain would not stay open. The TV was of low quality. The double beds were tiny. The coverlet on the bed was not laundered. There was dried blood on it and what looked like sweat stains. It did not seem to be very clean.

We spent with tax nearly $215 for one night. The sheets smelled like they hadn’t been changed, the carpeting in the room was loose, there was a hole in the tub surround, and the floor of the tub was dented and wouldn’t drain all the way. The light switch in the bathroom needed repair. The area in general has a lot of activity at night, particularly beside and behind the hotel. I feel the nightly rate should be less for the condition of the hotel. I’ve stayed at much nicer Sleep Inn’s.

There were hairs on the walls in the shower and stale Cheetos on the carpet. This room was really gross. Very stingy with the toiletries. No conditioner and one very slim bar of soap to share between the bathroom sink and shower. Phone was unplugged when we got there and none of the clocks were set to the correct time.

Facility was decent however it was not very clean. The bathroom in our room had messy walls (some streaks down the walls) the furniture was ok but appeared to be close to replacement. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the location was good. I suspect the room cost was higher due to the UVa Football game that weekend. To be honest I expected a little more at that price.

Room was clean and comfortable. Analog tv was very limited in channels and quality. Half of 8-10 channels were too fuzzy to see. Wi-Fi only available in lounge, not room also disappointing particularly for room costing over $300 a night after taxes.

Good basic hotel. Smallish room but there was a comfortable bed, decent closet space, a desk, and a fridge/micro combo. The biggest drawback was a very noisy air conditioner unit. Breakfast food was a bit limited and there were no black breakfast tea bags. I loved the location off I 64 — it’s a lot quicker to drive into the old campus and downtown mall from the south side of Charlottesville than the north side, where we have stayed in the past. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Our overall experience was good. The bed is super comfy and the pillows omg lol. Either that or we were just tired. What we disliked was the shower, the water comes out of the tub and makes a mess in the bathroom. The AC we can only turn down to 66 which wasn’t bad but wish it could have been more cooler. Overall good experience and breakfast was good as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Arrived at 11pm with no one to check us in, waited 20 minutes, and called front desk 4 times. Walked into our room with the smell of mold, stagnant water and smoke. Went back to the front to change rooms, again no one there, waited 20 minutes. Rented another hotel room and left, still without seeing a staff member.

Gloria at the front is a wonderful hostess! She took good care of us during our stay. Good location for a visit to Monticello or other attractions in the area. Easy to get to UVA or the Downtown Mall. Breakfast was good. 24 hour coffee is a nice touch. Pool was clean. Good value all around!

We were told that we were in room 212. For to the floor and key didn’t work for 212, so we saw 211 written on the card. We went into 211. After getting in bed, someone else tried entering our room. Needless to say that was quite frightening and the person stated that this was the room the front desk gave her the key to. Front desk guy apologized over and over and said it was his fault.

This is a perfectly pleasant hotel. But what made my stay truly memorable were the three ladies on reception. Jeanie couldn't have been more helpful. Dawn was a delight to deal with. And Gloria, quite aside from being endlessly patient with me when I kept locking myself out of my room, is quite simply one of the most beautiful human beings I've ever had the privilege of meeting: if any aliens ever come her to meet humans, I really hope they meet her so that they'll think all 7 billion of us are as good, as sweet and as kind as she is. I'm back in the UK now, just finishing my 9,000-mile round trip: and getting to know these ladies alone would have made it worthwhile. Employees like this, especially in the leisure sector, are like gold dust, and I hope their bosses know how lucky they are to have them.
This is a perfectly pleasant hotel. But what made my stay truly memorable were the three ladies on reception. Jeanie couldn't have been more helpful. Dawn was a delight to deal with. And Gloria, quite aside from being endlessly patient with me when I kept locking myself out of my room, is quite simply one of the most beautiful human beings I've ever had the privilege of meeting: if any aliens ever come her to meet humans, I really hope they meet her so that they'll think all 7 billion of us are as good, as sweet and as kind as she is. I'm back in the UK now, just finishing my 9,000-mile round trip: and getting to know these ladies alone would have made it worthwhile. Employees like this, especially in the leisure sector, are like gold dust, and I hope their bosses know how lucky they are to have them.

Had a wonderful stay. The next after we got there we had a issue with the air conditioner called the front desk no problem we will put you in another room. Less than 5 minutes later we were in another room. Staff was friendly and we needed something we just called the front desk it's was taken care of. Will definitely stay there again.

This is a great hotel. We stayed here for my son’s surgery. We had to be at the hospital at zero dark thirty and the hotel front desk offered to have breakfast set a side for us. I thought that was super sweet and thoughtful. Will def add Sleep Inns to my hotel stays. We got an ADA room on the second floor.

While we were not expecting a 4-5 star experience, for $235 / night we weren't expecting what we got. While the room LOOKED okay and the beds were perfectly nice with attractive linens, the bathroom smelled of sewage. The tub/tile/floor looked cobbled together from leftover remnants from multiple renovations. Although mentioned in the advertising, there was no WI-FI network to be found. Breakfast was acceptable. Staff was nice. Finally, though, we found great irony in the fact that we were going to enjoy a night's sleep away from our early-bird puppy and have a chance to sleep in after attending a local wedding. Instead, we awoke to lots of barking around 5am. At first we thought someone had left their dog in the car. Further exploration led to the discover that there is a KENNEL next door - across the street from our window.

Sleep Inn was perfect for our trip into Charlottesville for a football game. It is convenient to the interstate and a quick drive into town to visit The Mall or shopping destinations. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

The staff was amazing. They have upgraded paint and linens however the rugs are fraying and ugly. I didn’t want to step on them barefooted as the brown color made it look dirtier than it likely was. Breakfast was nice but could use some more fresh fruit. I think an 8 rating is accurate. If you can overlook some of the cosmetics the staff more than makes up for it.

Decent stay - Was disappointed that on check-in there was no shampoo or conditioner. Having refillable dispensers in the room is great for the environment, but not good for guests if you don't check/refill them. The front desk couldn't refill them, so just gave us a handful of disposable shampoo conditioner bottles.

Just a okay stay. The lighting in the room was a little dark and the AC unit struggled to keep the room cool at 69 despite the small size. The breakfast buffet didn’t have a lot of choices and the person checking the food didn’t refill the hot food in a timely manner. We wanted a room that was closer to the hiking trail and that is what we got, with no added frills.

We had a very comfortable stay here! The staff was friendly, the building was nice and the room was very clean and well-maintained. There was free breakfast as well and while it wasn't anything stand out, it was still enjoyable for a hotel breakfast. Would come back again if we're ever in the area!

The staff there was very kind and helpful. The hotel was clean but the only reason I didn't give all stars is because of the mildew smell and I noticed some mildew in the room. I didn't have time for breakfast. Other than that it was ok.
