This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at ZaZa Museum District and absolutely love it. Nice rooms, The Monarch restaurant is excellent and we love walking around the museums and park around the zoo. We have done two different couples massage packages at The ZaSpa and they were the best massages we’ve ever had.

The hotel was very pretty. They closed their bar/restaurant was closed for a private party and we were never notified of this in advance which was extremely inconvenient as a family there for a cheer competition.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Zaza in the museum district. We love to stay there when we have an event at NRG Stadium for the ease of using the train to get to it. I do believe that the Balet is a little high, but maybe it is market price. The fees seem high, but the staff is attentive and the bed was super comfortable. The pool was hard to get a chair in and I wish the would add more free seating for guests. I do realize that is their niche service.

The property was very nice and conducive to our needs. I would have preferred an option to self-park, but the valet service was impeccable and we did not experience any delays in receiving our vehicle or concerns during our hotel stay. The best part of the hotel is their lovely turndown service every evening where staff brings by ice, purified bottled water in a glass, and moon pies.

Our main issue with this hotel is the smell. The lobby smells musty as well as the halls. Our first room was dusty and had such strong smell I had to take an allergy medication and still was so stuffed up we requested an early check out. The front desk gave us a room with less carpet by the pool. The thing is, all the carpets in this hotel are pasty, stained, old and dusty. All the smells were very strong. It didn’t feel healthy. The rooms are individually decorated. Both of our rooms were dark and very dated. We have stayed at artsy hotels in many different cities and have loved it but this is a different vibe, very old, dark and dated. The pool area is nice. This hotel needs some new floors, ceiling tiles, updated bathrooms and to address the moldy smell. Our rate was almost $400 a night. We expect better at this price point.

The restaurant was really amazing. The food was incredible. I was able to check in early which was great. They cut our room key off hours before check out so we couldn’t get breakfast. They tried to charge my card for multiple times for .85 which made my bank think it was fraud. All of this despite me asking for everything to be charged to the room. Their policy states that they charge you at check out but that is not the case at all. There was water damage and the 10th floor smelled like mildew. Also the AC didn’t work despite it being 91 in Texas. The pool was very nice. The restaurant was very nice. However, I would not stay here again. I felt like I was in their way and that they wanted me out.

This is an amazing hotel! It is spotless and beautifully maintained. The room was spacious and wonderful. Next to three Art museums and has a shuttle to assist with getting around. The front desk was amazing and helpful. Santiago at the bar is a real standout and worth the trip just to see him and drink his delicious cocktails! Will definitely come back.

Staff was great. Overall the carpet in the rooms and hallways were quite dirty, dingy and stained throughout all public space and in room. Really needs to be upgraded. Also, a bit disappointed in quality of housekeeping. Dust on fixtures, desk counters, the in room bar service. Not too inviting to want to splurge for an in room wine glass with dust all over it. Bathroom sink doesn’t drain well at all which we have encountered in the past. We love this location and the hotel vibe. We have stayed at Zaza plenty of times but this time the wear and tear on the hotel was really apparent.

The hotel is in an ideal location for visiting the museum district. It's was an easy walk to multiple museums and all Herman park has to offer. Also, the staff was very friendly, the view from the room was nice, and we appreciated the black-out curtains. The room felt a bit dated, in that the furniture, carpet, etc. showed signs of wear and tear. There was grime and dust on multiple surfaces and the shower almost instantly flooded, which was gross. Probably the biggest issue I had was that you're not allowed to bring in outside food, which means I wasn't able to bring leftovers to my room after eating offsite. It might not have bothered me as much if the restaurant at the hotel was better. Definitely will not be visiting The Monarch restaurant again, and I'm not quite sure I will choose the hotel again either.

When I first came to the room, the whole desk that was along a big window was covered with water. There were several spots on the carpet saturated with water as well. Called the front desk and explained the whole situation and offered to transfer me to the other available room. The new room smelled moldy and the customer representative suggested that it might be from the AC. I told him that I rather be in my old room so we have moved back. The housekeeper wiped the desk and replaced the catalogs that were sutured with water. After a shower, I have walked to the desk and the carpet around desk was socked wet. Ive tried to place the bath towels so my feet wouldn’t get wet but I’ve noticed that the carped was progressively getting more saturated with water. I called the front desk and they have moved me to the stinky room. Since it was 10 pm, I was tired and needed to sleep so i gave up. I have turned the fan off so the smelly air wasn’t circulating. It was kinda stressful experience. No one call me from the office/front desk to follow up.

Beautiful hotel but they have done issues with their key situation. Had to get the key card reissued twice and ran into a couple at the elevator with the same issue. The room was extremely hot and it was really hard to sleep. Luckily we only stayed one night.

From the moment we drove up to the Valet we were treated like royalty. The beds were so comfortable! I never sleep late, but was able to in the comfortable beds. Shower pressure was amazing with plenty of hot water. We ordered room service and the hamburgers were excellent!

My room did not get very cold - there’s an old thermostat with no way to tell what temp it was, but I set it down as low as it would go and it ran all night and so I know it never reached the the low 60s. I was too hot under the blanket so I asked for a lighter blanket which they didn’t have so I got extra sheets and stacked it and worked ok, but I was surprised they don’t have lighter blankets as an option. The first person I asked just said they don’t have other blankets and didn’t try to find any other options for me, and I had to call back another person to see about other solutions. I also ordered a king room but got a queen room (although I was ok with this, it was just me but it’s good to actually give people what they booked). Loved the pool and the lobby was nice. My room was a little dated and some of the furniture worn down, with little things (rubber bands and earring backs) from the previous stay were left on the bathroom counter so I question if it actually got cleaned. I recently stayed at hotel zaza austin and it was a far nicer hotel and experience for the same price so I was expecting it to be more like that. Far from it to be honest.

I always enjoy staying at Zaza in Museum district as I love walking to the museums. This trip I had a flat tire that was punctured by a nail, the concierge took care of it and it was fixed during my one night stay. I arrived after 5 pm and all tire shops near by were already closed. This was an experience of superior service. Zaza forever!

If you want to be treated like royalty, this is the place. It’s beautiful & the staff is amazing. And by staff, I mean every single employee is so nice, courteous & asks if they can get you anything. Every time you leave the building & return, they say “welcome back.” So many personal touches…from a coffee bar on each floor to refreshing watermelon or pineapple water & apple caramel cookies in lobby. Different flavors daily. You’ll be surprised by how they will pamper you with a charcuterie plate, or a bottle of wine. And if that wasn’t enough they return with beverages & chocolates. I can’t say enough good things about The ZaZa. Go for yourself & take in this unique experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel ZaZa in the Museum District in Houston. I love the location - right near the museums and parks. Houston is a sprawling city and this is a truly special location, where one can walk to the parks and museums and is close to great neighborhoods like Montrose and Rice University. The staff were excellent, courteous, and helpful. I arrived early and was able to check in as rooms were available. I love the balcony room with sweeping views. This is a great place to stay with a wonderful location and skilled and attentive staff. I highly recommend Hotel ZaZa in the Houston Museum District!

I liked the ambiance of the hotel and the location. The restaurant could use a menu upgrade. The food was only mediocre. The two male servers we had were excellent! Maddy & Milton. The Hostess not so much.

My bestie and I stayed for the rodeo. Front desk was cheerful. Bellman were a great help to catch the rail to Reliant Stadium. Fantastic morning walk in the park. The only thing wrong was the bar and the servers. I ordered a martini and it came out in a high ball glass. No olives, no olive juice. And when I sent it back it came out in same glass with olives and a lime wedge. Bazaar. But everything else was wonderful.

The stay was amazing from end to end. The bed was comfortable, the Restaurant was amazing (the Cajun pasta was tasty as was the opinion soup), the balcony was cool, everything about the stay was top notch. Thank you!

The hotel itself has a great Vibe and as part of the museum district has great art. Front desk support is lacking tremendously. The restaurant is also lacking tremendously. It is overpriced and the food is mediocre. They do up charges on your drinks without telling you. Not cool.

Overall the hotel was nice. However, my room looked like it was a converted mechanical room. There was one overhead light in the room. The toilet was so close to a wall, that you had to sit at an angle. If they assign you room 321, I would reject it. Also, the parking was $60.00/ night.

I booked a night at Hotel Zaza for a staycation. I wanted to enjoy the pool, and a day without kids. Kiki and her poolside crew made the day so enjoyable, and I can’t wait to book my next stay. When she found out I was celebrating my birthday, she went above and beyond to make sure it was a celebration.
