Using the elevators is a pain since there are only two for nine floors. We had to take an elevator up when checking out just so we could ride it down before it got full. The parking spaces are super tight to get in and out of. And the Haunted House next door plays extremely loud music that can be heard in the rooms.

Great location and great staff but some flaws. Pros: walkable to everything, staff is super friendly, has an indoor/outdoor pool with slide which was awesome and two jacuzzis. Cons: two elevators that service 8 floors so you’re always waiting. There was a conference while we were there so maybe worse than normal. Parking garage is tight, seems damages with water and mud, and costs money (but this cost is showed ahead of time so that’s good.) Not the cleanest and seemed to have a stink bug infestation while we were there.

Fairly nice place with a few negatives. They now charge $15 per day to park in their own parking lot. The elevator is terrible. We were on the 8th floor and it took forever to get back and forth. Each time we wanted to enter, the elevator was too full to get in. The stairs were at the end of the hall, which made either way tough to use. So glad there was no fire, we would have been extra crispy

Staff was friendly but bed was not comfortable at all, parking was a nightmare. We have a truck and maintenance had to call people to move their car to upper levels because where they are parked is clearly marked for taller vehicles only. Room was clean but looks like when things go wrong they just patch it up but don’t pay attention to how it looks.

The room was clean and comfortable. The facility is a bit dated. The fitness center was four pieces of antique equipment, and only two were operational. The parking deck had so much standing water we had issues parking our bike and exiting.

Never will I stay here again. First they double charged me for parking so I had Hotel.com contact them about it. Then when I went to the front desk the lady I first spoke with was so rude to me. Then we get to our room and we checked it out. There were cracks, a hole and multiple repair spots on the bottom of the tub. There is no vent in the bathroom. The curtains were stained and the ceiling was filthy. The hotel is so run down. One night I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom only to turn on the light and see a roach in the bathtub. Nasty! Cracks and pealing spots everywhere. The place stinks so bad. One time we came out of our room and the smell of urine was so strong it took your breath away. The pool area is also run down. Their hot tubs were hot but the 2nd day the jets quit working and the water to the fountain and slide kept turning off. One good thing was the breakfast was good and the lady working it was wonderful. This hotel needs a major remodel because it is so run down. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for the conditions it is in.

Hotel is in a great location. The room was dirty and needs renovation. Our door also did not shut properly, I kept thinking my family was leaving the door open until our last night. I then realized the door doesnt latch closed, luckily nothing was stolen from our rooom.

We didn’t have any issues. The only feed back I would provide is the parking pass paper work with the price you sign needs to be updated to the current price , our room was not cleaned my toddler found an empty Cason’s bottle , I found a used razor in the shower. And the. Room smelled awful. Cleaning needs to better.

Very adequate hotel for a 1-night stay to go hiking. GREAT location (you can duck off the main road before going through the main area), beds comfortable, good shower pressure and clean enough. Walls and doors are pretty thin. Breakfast is nothing special but good enough for some fuel to start the day. Staff was very friendly and nice. Bonus - covered parking but spaces are very narrow.

The pool was beautiful, as well as the stream and bridge. I rented a mountain view, however only saw trees and a parking lot. Breakfast went until 10, which was nice for my tired teens! The curtain in our room had white stains all over it. Mold in the bathroom sink around where it was sealed. The parking garage was flooding when we arrived, had to use my windshield wipers while parking. In the morning they were draining the water out and into the stream. The check in lady was not friendly at all, checkout man was very nice.

I’d love to give it zero stars. Was that an option? Room had big cockroaches. Need I say more? Yes I do. Old and falling apart at every turn. Dirty, everything chipped and peeling- paint, woodwork, carpets, dirty floors, gross elevator, century old sheets. Pillow cases didn’t even fit the pillows. Very noisy - cars traffic people. Bear shot on the front steps.

This was a last minute, weekend getaway for myself and my husband. We were pleasantly surprised with the room! We booked a hot tub room and it was very nice! We were able to relax in the giant tub and even though we didn’t use the fireplace I imagine how romantic it could be in the winter months.The room was clean and comfortable…the only thing I could suggest is a better quality mattress. Maybe we are getting old in our 40 years but the mattress was pretty stiff. However, I would definitely return to this hotel. The pool area was great and we were happy to see a slide that wasn’t in any of the pics! Patking (even though you pay a daily fee) was great. Without hotel parking we wouldn’t have been able to find a parking spot. The location is just about as perfect as you can get. Another plus was the free breakfast in the morning. This was an actual LEGIT breakfast with all the good southern stuff like biscuits and gravy. I Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, couples trip or family! ( ps-apparently this hotel has some guests who never leave👻 just google it if you’re curious!)

Hotel needs updates. Elevator was very slow. Room with hot tub has carpet so stinks when wet. Balcony on backside doesn't have a great view. Breakfast was ok and FREE. Parking was about $17 a night. Make sure you have small to medium-sized vehicle low ceiling in Parking garage. Overall the location was great and if needed to stay here I would but not first on my list possibilities.

Everyone was super friendly, it was clean, and the beds were comfy. However, the walls are super thin. I know it’s an older hotel, so I guess that makes sense. You hear everything going on in the hallway or neighboring rooms. The parking garage is also a nightmare to navigate. We have a small crossover and it was almost impossible to find a parking spot to fit. Everyone has to park over the lines because the spaces are so small. Leaving the leftover spots about half their normal size.

Ok, we had the room with fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The room was small but cozy. The fireplace was nice and the jacuzzi tub was huge! So relaxing. The bathroom was tiny!! The room was dated but still looked nice and was clean. The bed was old and not the most comfortable bit not horrible either. Staff was friendly and helpful. Therr is a Haunted House right st one end of the hotel. The hotel is VERY long. Thankfully our room was not close. If it hsd been, it would have been awful. The music was BLASTING LOUD and you could hear people screaming. If not gor parking, I would stay again as long as I knew I was on the end away from the Haunted House. The parking was HORRIBLE. Its almost $17 for a parking pass. Per day. ($15 plus tax) parking is under the hotel so I don't understand why there is a charge. The lanes were so tight I had an anxiety attack and had to make my husband drive. The spaces are super tight!!! And I mean super tight. I will not stay again soley due to parking.

“Mountain view” was noting more than the parking lot and pool. I would definitely recommend “River View”. The hotel and rooms were nice and clean however the bathroom had a terrible musty/mildew smell.

Location couldn't have been better. The hotel felt old and dingy. Everything was a little ripped, a little torn, a little discolored, a little off. Looks like it was incredible in 1990, and hasn't been updated since.

room was clean, staff was nice, pool was closed and drained. However noise level was insane. it is right next to mysterious mansion and even though we were up on the 7th floor right next to that outside wall and the venue being right there they play their music loud to where you can hear it inside your room and do not close till midnight and people standing in line are also loud. bring ear plugs or sleep with prince. volume otherwise you wont get to sleep till after midnight

Breakfast: 1) Would like to see more variety with the breakfast. It was pretty much the same thing every day. For example, maybe you could alternate between bacon and sausage. Perhaps one day offer waffles. 2) Would like to have seen different kinds of creamers for the coffee (ex. vanilla, hazelnut), rather than just plain. 3) The breakfast setup was very clean. From the plastic silverware dispenser to the pancake maker, we noticed much less mess than we usually see at other hotels. We appreciated this very much : ) 4) Loved the milk that was offered : ) Pool: 1) There probably needs to be some sort of signage in the pool area saying how to turn on the jets for the hot tubs. Not many of us knew how to turn these on. And we understood there was some issue with the jets not always working (which, we hope this issue gets resolved), but when they WERE working, it was wonderful : )... Having an inside and outside pool was a real draw for us : ) Service: 1) The service was incredibly friendly. 5 stars for that : )

The hotel is very dated. One of the hot tubs didn’t work. Beds have zero comfort and no life left to them. Rooms are not very clean, hair was found on our linens and bathroom was gross. Lastly the staff that checked me in was beyond rude.

Nice hotel and convenient to downtown. Unfortunately it’s located next to the Mystery Mansion attraction which blasts creepy music from 3-10pm so relaxing on your balcony is difficult. Breakfast was a little disappointing with few choices (no bagels, donuts, or bacon, and fruit was just oranges). Balcony views of city seem deceiving since our view on the 5th floor was partially blocked by big tree. Price was good and would probably stay again but be more picky about which room next time.

Our favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg! While the property is showing its age and the elevators are notoriously slow, the location simply can’t be beat—it’s the best in Gatlinburg in my opinion. We stay here every year, sometimes twice a year. Unfortunately, they’ve recently added a $15-per-night parking fee, which feels unnecessary and disappointing—a way to add extra charges without offering any additional benefit in return. Still, despite that, it remains our favorite place to stay.

The breakfast menu was good. The hotel is overall very dated. The parking area is super tight. Very hard to get in and out of parking spots. The elevator was also very slow. We liked how we could walk right out of the hotel and onto the main strip of Gatlinburg but in general it felt dated.

The breakfast was awful, despite all the advertising of hot and cold breakfast. It took forever to refill the stuff, quality of food was unacceptable. The room was relatively clean but they were short in clean towels and for every item we had to go downstairs. This was even worse with the terrible function of elevators. I don’t recommend it.

The main reasons to stay here are the central location, covered garage parking, and the excellent hot tubs. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. One main drawback is the breakfast. There was no fresh food (no fruit, etc.) and the eggs and sausage taste like they were premade off premises and just reheated. We got tired of the breakfast very quickly. But otherwise, it was a very good stay.
