The outside heated pool was a hit with my boys! The rooms were pretty clean, just a few missed areas in the restroom. The staff was friendly. It is on a busy street, so the pool area can be kinda noisy. Overall I will stay here again.

Room was not maintained at all by property management. Had nothing to do with housekeeping staff. The room and bathroom needs an entire gut and remodel. Remote didn’t work to the tv even after replacing the batteries and no help was offered after that. Pool was closed with no warning or heads up. Room had a musty smell. Spend the extra $30 and go stay at the Holiday Inn Express down the road!

We had a really great stay at the La Quinta in Helena, MT. Our deluxe king room was nice and big, but showing a bit of age. The room was fairly quiet even though it was facing a busy road. The outdoor pool was nice and not busy. We were the only ones in there on a Friday night. There wasn’t a hot tub, but the pool was really warm. The breakfast was also good with bacon, eggs and waffles as well as the regular continental items. We feel like we made the right choice staying here!

The property was under construction. My kids wet heart broken that they could not use the pool. Construction started at 8 am everyday, even weekends disrupting sleep. Other guests had barking dogs and were slamming doors which woke us repeatedly. The in room refrigerator was incredibly loud, it sounded like the compressor was failing and disrupted my kids sleep. The blinds did not come even closer to blacking out the room. The pillows were all excessively firm. There was chipping and peeling paint in the bathroom. There was too much deferred maintenance to list. The staff member in charge of stocking breakfast items didn’t know what gluten-free meant, we were disappointed there were zero GF bread items offered. The line for checking in was long and slow. The staff seemed tired and overwhelmed from negative guest experiences.

DONT STAY HERE. Paying nearly 500 dollars for two nights at this hotel is a joke. The room was disgusting with hair and crumbs on the floor and no clear pet fee info on Expedia. Pet areas were unmaintained. The bathroom was filthy with black spots and smudges on the mirror, and the broken shower faucet made noise all night and doesn’t stay attached. They can’t even clean a toilet properly. No body wash or hand soap, just one bar of soap for everyone. They installed a new vanity top but used an old faucet from the 90s. The dim lighting made it impossible to see. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The AC was also making odd noises and kept me awake. Early in the morning alarms from empty rooms blared for almost an hour. The small pool was mostly closed for construction. The breakfast was the cheapest, most basic options. This place is barely a rundown motel and not worth the price at all.

Upon arrival I was immediately concerned. The hallway and stairs were unkept. After entering our room we found a French fry on the floor, Dirty floors, hair in the sheets, and hair on the toilet. We immediately requested a refund and left promptly.

I will start this by saying the staff is great, and they were very attentive to any concerns - this is not on them. However, upon arrival we were placed in a 3rd floor room with a king bed. The room was very gross. The carpet was disgusting, the walls were dirty, and there were stains all over the bed and furniture. I kindly voiced my concerns to management and asked if I could be moved to a different room. They placed me on the first floor, which recently had laminate flooring put in that replaced the old carpet. I accepted it as it seemed cleaner and I needed a place to stay. However, the bathroom walls were covered in mold and water damage, and the light fixtures were hanging on by a thread. I paid roughly $150/night for this, and would not recommend at that price point.

The bed in the room was innerspring and too soft.Too many layers of sheets comforter coverlet. Was a tangled up mess getting in and out of bed.Ended up with all in a pile at foot of bed. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet was nice. Had a good selection of food and beverages and enough room for plenty of groups to sit.

Easy to get downtown Helena. The check in was terrible. The staff did not have the rooms cleaned and ready at 5 pm and there was a long line to check in. We were lucky and had only two people in front of us and it still took a half hour to check in. After check in everything was fine. Breakfast was good and we spent two nights and our room was cleaned just fine for the second night.

The stay itself wasn’t bad, but the young man who checked us in clearly had no idea what he was doing. Made me run my card for “incidentals” on an already paid for room. I asked him twice why he made me swipe it rather than just confirm it matched the card on the reservation but he assured me nothing else would be charged to it. I could tell after he ran it he knew he messed up. Went down next morning as my card had been charged for the stay a second time. Lady at the front desk was absolutely rude to my daughter and I, telling me that “we don’t run your card for incidentals”. Well someone should maybe tell the hotel staff that. Then said they did a charge back previous night and I should have it 7-10 business days. She then snarkily told me “that’s on the bank not on us”. Had the front desk clerk not been as rude as she was I probably wouldn’t be leaving this review. Customer service is nonexistent at this hotel, and traveling is stressful enough without them charging you double for your stay and making you wait two weeks to get it back. That is unacceptable when it was their mess up to begin with.

The pictures that we saw online of this property were pretty deceiving. The first problem with the property is that it’s on a one-way, so makes it a little inconvenient to reach. When we arrived to the property, the parking lot was jampacked and the available parking spaces were torn up like they were working on the ground or like they had never been completed? More of a gravel. This made it a little tough to find parking space. The property around the hotel was kind of dirty and entering the building it looked dirty as well. Our room was a king room that we upgraded from a double clean four. But it was really shabby. The shades in the room were rickety. The lamps were bent, and overall nothing special for what we paid. I would definitely not recommend this hotel, the Days Inn that we stayed in prior to this one was much better in my opinion and also cheaper.

The hotel was okay. Nothing spectacular for the price. They served “great value” brand bread and bagels for breakfast. The cooler with the yogurt and milk in it was not even cold. The yogurt felt warm. The front desk staff was okay but not the best.

Compared to most $100/night rooms, La Quinta was very good because it had engineered hardwood floors and it was very clean. Otherwise, the common areas were in need of updating. The breakfast was poor.....though there was hot items like liquid eggs and sausage (may as well have come with a salt shaker as they were soooo salty) and pancakes.....fruit selection was terrible....overall the breakfast environment was unapetizing. So, don't stay here for the breakfast....otherwise, a good choice.
