Excellent breakfast and kind employees. Very clean property and spacious rooms. Beds were comfortable but true double size, not queen. Property needs more parking due to portable storage containers taking up most of the spaces behind the hotel. Pool area is surrounded by construction work and more storage containers.

We stayed here for the weekend and to catch a Royals baseball game (about 20 minutes away from the stadium). Hotel is older, but under renovation to update it, so they were down to one elevator, which at times made it slow getting to and from the room. I booked a King room and they tried putting us in a room with 2 Queen beds. Even though they were pretty full, we were able to sort this out pretty quickly. Rooms were spacious and clean and the TV was huge. I didn't eat breakfast, but my husband said it was good and the coffee was good as well. He used the fitness center and said the equipment was adequate enough for what he needed. The hotel is in a good location near lots of shops and restaurants.

Staff was nice. Free breakfast was nice. Beds were cozy. The construction bothered us when we tried to get the kids to nap midday. The pool was dirty and my 6 year old refused to swim in it - which was disappointing because we were hoping to spend our downtime swimming. We will look for a different hotel next time

The fourth floor was under construction, and the noise was terrible. The toxic smell in the hall was awful. The staff was excellent and the housekeeping was excellent, but there was no relief from the construction. The TV was down for the first 24 hours and only one elevator worked.I have stayed there several times before and everything was very nice. A discount would have been nice on my room.

Hotel lobby was very nice, got to our room the couch was pretty gross and very much needed to be cleaned. Very stained up and smelled musty. Our bathroom floor looked like it hadn’t been swept/clean. Other peoples hair on the floor. Didn’t feel like the air in our room worked well it was very humid and stuffy all night. Woke up at 4:45am went to shower.. no hot water whatsoever but the kicker was when I went to turn on the shower nothing was coming out of the shower head. Completely broken. Imagine my frustration when 2 adults and a child need to get ready at 4:45am and can’t properly shower. Ended up leaning over the tub to wash hair and called it good. My only true positives were our bedding was clean and the lobby was nice. That’s it. So very frustrated with our stay and how much we paid for what we got.

The room had construction debris all over the place. Human hair all over toilet. Room service told us front desk wasn’t supposed to put us in the room as it wasn’t cleaned yet. There was a booger on the wall. Shower was gross. We reported our concerns to front desk and they put us in a second room. The second room had an abundance of dog hair all over the couch and chair. You can tell it was never vacuumed. The shower was still a bit dirty. Carpet had stains. I found a centipede crawling on the floor and I had to kill it. The pool was green. AC are leaking at the entrance. Overall this hotel is in deplorable unsanitary conditions. I will not return. The only thing that was pleasant was customer service.

The room itself was fine and had a lot of space. There were so many cleanliness issues throughout the room though. For example, I felt like I couldn’t be in bare foot because the tile was slimy and the carpet was sticky. They also didn’t clean the toilet fully because the lid was covered in something that I didn’t want to think about. I also didn’t love the status of the mattresses. They were stained and didn’t feel sanitary.

Bathroom floor was dirty and tub/floor had hair. Walking around on floor white socks were dirty. Bedroom pillow case had hair on them. I checked out a day earlier and asked Sid Smith if they could refund that day. Waiting for the answer from management.

This is my 3rd time staying at this location. My recent stay, May 18, 2025, got to stay in a remodel Hyatt Place. Like the remodel room, it made the room feel bigger with extra features. My only complaint is the backing on the couch is too short to lounge and the bed pillows are too thin. As a side sleeper, I had to stack several pillows on top of each other.

Nicely remodeled, but the room layout, room 203, was not ideal or well done. . .door to shower and toilet very tight space. Walking around to far side ( window side) of the bed was an obstacle course and really tight squeeze. Nice wall covering in shower toilet room, but sloppily finished. A fifteen dollar " deposit" from my credit card was charged upon check in. At check out I was told that this would be refunded by the bank in a day or two. Given that I did not purchase anything why is this not immediately refunded at check out?

We’ve stayed at this hotel in the past and had a decent experience, but unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The first room we were given had multiple issues: the bathroom mirror light didn’t work, and there was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The entire room felt damp and uncomfortable. We set the thermostat to 65 degrees, but after six hours, the temperature never dropped below 72. We called the front desk, but there was no maintenance available, so at midnight, we had to pack up and move to another room. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better — the temperature wouldn’t go below 70, and the humidity remained high. While we appreciated our past stays, this experience fell short, and we’ll likely look for other accommodations in the future.

Newly remodeled room but not well designed. Televisoin reception was bad - picture was pixilated. Bed was too close to the heat/AC. Beautiful makeup mirror but no direct lighting - wife waited until we were in the car to put on makeup. Shower/toilet area was too small. Could barely close the door from the inside and not large enough to dry oneself.

I was overall very disappointed with this property. The space in the room was fantastic and it was clean. Unfortunately the bad easily outweighed the good. The bathroom is tiny. Easily the smallest hotel bathroom I’ve experienced in many years. Ventilation was so poor in the bathroom that the door needed to be open while showering. The air conditioning wasn’t working well in the lobby/breakfast area the whole time we were there. The AC in the room was not able to keep up, set the room to 70, but it never got below 78. The fitness room had very limited space. Again, air flow seemed to be a major issue. The mirrors were fogged over and the floor was wet/slick making it very difficult to workout on. I would not recommend this hotel.

I booked after midnight and didn’t realize that it was for the upcoming evening, so I tried do a walk-in for that night. First, the desk clerk told me that while they had rooms available, he couldn’t give me a room since it was after midnight. As we were leaving, he called us back and said that he could. He spent the next 15 minutes trying to figure out how to check me in, ultimately turning me away because the computer system was updating and he couldn’t figure out how to charge me. I offer to leave my credit card and he could charge it after the update, which he declined. Lucy, there was a Courtyard across the street who not only gave me a room, but also a discounted rate, given the late hour. I went the following night, as I’d already paid for the room. I told a different desk clerk what had happened and left my contact information for the manager, from whom I’ve heard nothing.

Staff not helpful. Got woke up by fire alarm at 10:30PM and was outside 1 hour . No updates by staff . People just started going back inside. Staff didn’t tell us what was going on. Room two down from us had sprinklers activate and all their stuff got soaked . Hallway on 6 floor was soaking wet. I asked for them to provide update to everyone and one of workers got upset . Had friends on another floor and non of ac units working .

The staff were super friendly and kind. The hotel and rooms were super clean. I noticed the staff cleaning the bar and tables in the bar/breakfast area several times and they were cleaning the commons bathrooms every morning. Very comfortable bed, quiet and very big, beautiful rooms.

We enjoyed our room at the Hyatt. We had a king room on the 5th floor and it was setup nice. I think they did some remodeling this summer and it looks very nice. Paid $110.47 for one night which was probably one of the better rates in the area, especially for these accommodations. Nice safe location with nearby restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was good with several options. We will stay here again.

I did not get the room in the pictures that i booked it for. The entire room layout was strange. They were remodelling the hotel 3rd floor, so 1 elevator, there were only 2, was not working. At one point the elevators were not working, and we had to go down six flights of stairs to leave. The breakfast provided was cold as if someone forgot to turn on the warming components.

We enjoyed the stay truly expect the breakfast. The days I stay I went to eat breakfast at different hours one was at 8am second at 9am both times they barely hand any thing out they were always out of plates silverware water hot food I had to keep asking the staff for refill on everything guy waiting on the food had just the worst attitude. Also double rooms are full size beds not queens false listing
