I think the property has potential and it is under construction. My bad for not looking that up, because their website clearly stated it. However, my room door was difficult to get to latch and once latched shut, the electric lock wouldn’t function; like the key wasn’t programmed. Our fridge made loud/odd noises and the sink doesn’t drain. Parking is crazy inadequate. This am, people were parked just anywhere. The breakfast buffet was ok. The staff is sweet

AIR CONDITIONER IN THE WHOLE BUILDING IS OUT , the hallways are in the 90’s . I was taking a nap before my event and an alarm to evacuate the building came on , and turns out it was nothing and staff acted like they were just used to it . I had no where to park my car.

Disappointing, construction/renovation closed down front entrance; Checkin was in a hall. Minimal info was provided on use of tv, internet and makeshift restaurant. No common area to just sit. No notification about water restrictions from hotel, had to here from friend who lived in area. Staff was nice and helpful when asked.

This hotel was undergoing considerable renovations; as a result of this, there was NO access to the swimming pool; NO access to the exercise room; the public hallways had NO A/C and very HOT. My 87 year old mother is disabled; I requested an ADA accessible room on a LOW floor, we were placed on the 5th floor (522). NO ADA room. Mom needed a step ladder to access her bed..! I was ROYALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOTEL. The hotel should have been CLOSED FOR RENOVATION…! Period. PS - I want a refund..! You shouldn’t do this to your loyal consumers..Al Lindsay, Architect

Check in was fine. The restaurant and bar are closed until further notice, per a sign at the check in desk. To be honest, it would’ve been nice to know that ahead of time, because the restaurant and bar onsite was a decision maker for me. I didn’t want to have to leave the motel for something to eat, but I ended up doing that. Luckily there are plenty of restaurants within a half mile of the motel. Other than that, the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

There were 3 guests but only 2 sets of bath accessories (towels, washcloths). The hallways reeked of air freshener, it was overwhelming. The pool was supposedly heated, but no, it was very cold. The bar had no mixers and very limited selection. Would have spent more at the bar, but it was disappointing.

When I booked this hotel it didn’t mention hotel renovation. There was no pool and the hotel was under major construction. They only had half of the parking available and no A/C in hallways. Also, construction started loudly around 8 am during the week.

Terrible! We couldn’t really stay there. We had a shower, organized some things and left few hours later. The place was not only dirty, it was unsanitary. I’ve never seen something that disgusting. No sheet on the bed, stained towels, stinky room, candies, paper and plastic on the floor. I’ve stayed in other garden inn’s before, they were simple, but not bad. But this one is just unbelievable.

I have never in my life experienced multiple roaches in a hotel room all at the same time. But I did here. I came out of the shower at around 11:30pm to ine one the wall,one on the floor, and one in the little cubby beneath the phone. I went downstairs with my hair wet and pajamas on and the night clerk was rude and annoyed that I was asking for another room. Hand down my worst hotel experience ever. Other notes. New room had yellowed pillows, a wadded up tissue on the floor, and candy wrappers in the trash can.

Dirty bathroom, stains on the bedding, the bathroom had mold at the bottom of the outside of the bathtub. The food I ordered from the kitchen was burnt. When I complained they said they’d take care of it. They didn’t take care of it. I will post on Facebook how dirty and disgusting it was.

The staff is very polite however we had some issues with the cleanliness of the room. Upon arrival there was hair in the shower, the carpet under the AC unit was soaked and there was an orange stain on the comforter. Also, due to renovations there is limited parking available and no warning prior to checking in.

They are remodeling the hotel, our room was supposed to be remodeled but everything was messed up. The bathroom door got stuck to the frame and my 4 year old got trapped, it was hard to pull. The bathroom mirror had lipstick writing on it (not cleaned) and there was hair in the shower. The closet has no hangers or any area to hang your stuff. The TV didn’t work, the microwave was disconnected. The beds are comfortable and they looked cleaned. The staff was friendly, but they knocked on our door at 8am to fix our tv, when we were checking out at 11. Then again a knock at 9 to check if we were gone already. It was a mess. Drilling started at 9am, due to the remodeling. Also a nuisance but I get it, things need to be remodeled.

Bathtub was stuffed up. Took a shower and was ankle-deep in water before I finished. Also, compressor on air conditioning unit was very loud waking me up during night. Told front desk about it hoping both issues could be corrected by next night. They were not. Was informed at checkout that GM would call me, but did not occur. Lobby and and bar were nice, but “courtyard” was just a narrow strip along outside wall.

It was ok for what we needed it for. The room was outdated and the card reader outside didn’t work. The staff was friendly enough to us, but if you seemed to bother them, they were quick to attitude. Also depended on who was out. The girl at the front desk when we checked out was lovely. We did receive a message before our stay that there was a $7 parking fee but that was not in fact the case. However, parking is extremely limited. Also, beware if you buy breakfast before hand. It does not show on the receipt and they will try to charge you an additional $15 a person. All in all, not the worst experience, but not the best. If you need a quick place to rest your head for the night, this will do it.

I stayed for two nights the TV wouldn’t turn on. I reported the issue to the front desk. When I came back to my room the TV was on, but you were unable to change the channel or adjust the volume in any way. In order to turn the TV off, I had to unplug it from the wall. Unacceptable. I was never compensated for a room I paid over $400.00 for.

I had to wait for 25 minutes to check in. When I got to the clerk I was told my room was not ready. Check-in was at 3 PM and I arrived at 5 PM. The lady behind the counter had an attitude. Completely unacceptable.

We had to wait almost 4 hours to be checked in because the rooms weren't ready. They gave us the room almost at 7pm. The coffee maker wasn't working on the room. They brought a new one and they entered the room when my friend was taking a shower and no one else was in the room. After we complained, They justfied that they knocked 3 times before going in. But the guy didn't decide to leave once they heard the shower. That was not OK.

There were 3 things I reported to the front desk before noon on the second day. We needed clean towels, the toilet seat wobbled and the iron did not work. I needed to iron an outfit for that night. Came back around 1 and nothing done! Came in for the night around 10pm, still nothing! Expressed my displeasure to the front desk when I checked out. Never again!

Tried to check in at 3pm and lobby was full of upset guests as they were having computer issues. Needed to shower before wedding, unfortunately I went to the wedding a little smelly as they could not check me in. Came back in the evening. Came back at 10pm and finally was able to check in. Next morning went down to lobby and when I returned to room key did not work. One more time down to the lobby to access my room. Lastly, hotel staff came up at 9am and had to ask when we were checking out. Also hate that bottle waters in room have price tag of $3.00.

My husband & I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown over New Year’s weekend. The staff was very friendly & our room was clean. Originally, we were placed in a room that had a LARGE air conditioner unit that pretty much took up the entire window. We asked the front desk clerk if they could move us because the air conditioner was our view of Savannah! They immediately moved us to a better room without any issues. We really appreciated that!!! The hotel is also in a great location!

The property is in good shape, the rooms are spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable a/c worked well. The staff was very helpful. The location is the best and you can do anything downtown with ease. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The hotel was easy to find and very close the Montgomery gate at HAAF. My husband and I refused to use the keirig as we weren't sure the last time it was cleaned, it was very dirty. The carpets needed vacuumed better. The rest of the room was clean enough for a 1 nights stay. It is a pet friendly hotel, that's another $75. The bed was comfortable. $7 a day for parking is weird to us. We didn't eat breakfast but was informed it was 11.95 pp per day. There are many eatieries near by and within walking distance. The staff weren't the most attentive at the desk, I had to wait both times for several minutes. Overall for the convenience to HAAF, where our son is stationed , we would stay again.

Several hotels are on top of each other and this Hilton does not have enough parking. Hilton guests have to walk to a neighboring hotel’s parking garage if they even get a space. Front desk staff are very slow on the computer at check-in. Breakfast staffer did not notice what items needed restocking; lots of asking. Fee for parking takes the cake, on top of high Savannah hotel taxes.

My stay at Hilton Gardens was good overall. I would definitely stay here again. I specifically chose the hotel due to the convenience of being right across the street from an event I had to attend. The room was a good size and contained all the basic amenities. The bathroom was very nice and modern. The downside I would say is that parking is not free, it's $7/day. Also Breakfast and dinner are not complementary with dinner being more expensive than breakfast.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. They don't tell you when booking about a $8/night parking fee enforced at check in. They have a breakfast buffet however they don't tell you it's >$10 per plate charged to card on file. They mark the price on a small whiteboard in the corner. Hotel conditions were great but the additional charges they sneak in are ridiculous

The room was clean & comfortable. The staff were polite & the area seemed safe. My only issue was I checked in around 9pm hoping that I could order food for my room, but the bar staff said the kitchen was closed. The website & all the advertising in the room said dining was until 10pm, but they said they close at 9:30pm. So I had to leave to get food but I’m okay with the visit otherwise.
