Great stay. Directly across the street from the archeological site and about a mile from the old section of Syracuse. The only thing it lacked was onsite, self-serve laundry facilities. Great roof top pool

We selected this hotel because it is close to the Greek theatre. Unfortunately the free parking area is very little and we had always to park outside. For everything else, quite good.

Not the end of the world, but not impressive.

Veldig fint hotell med basseng. Få solsenger, men vi fikk solseng hver dag allikevel. God frokost. Lite stykke til sentrum, men det var vi klar over før vi booket hotellet. Benyttet oss av spa-avdelingen i form av massasje og er fornøyde med det også.

The hotel itself is nice, staff are friendly, pool area is nice, food Ok ( bit fancy for our tastes in the restaurant) but good quality. But the area is a 20- 30 min walk to the centre or Ortigia where you will find restaurants - most of the area you walk through isn’t particularly attractive. The archaeological park is very near ( walkable) and enjoyable to do. So although I have no faults with the hotel - the location wasn’t the best choice for us

The hotel is nice but is on the norther outskirts of the town in a mainly residential area. I was looking forward to using the gym and sauna but the gym was poorly stocked and the sauna could only be used as part of a spa package minimum of €40 per time so that was a let down and not in the description. Breakfast was very good with a range of choices and the 6th floor pool was nice to have for a late afternoon chill out after touring in the day.

Our room had bedbugs and I was bitten about 50 times. It's ruined our vacation. We spent all day doing expensive laundry rather than enjoying Syracuse. The hotel offered to change rooms but no compensation for the cost of the laundry, suffering or lost time. I'm likely going to have scars from this. It's truly awful. AVOID Update: to rectify the situation they offered loyalty points for a future stay, which I refused. They gave me a refund of $115 instead, which was for 1 night, plus a couple of free meals at the hotel bar. Laundry cost 60E plus several hours in the heat. Not worth it.

Nice hotel. Comfortable and clean. Great staff. WiFi is not good. I selected this hotel because it advertised high-speed internet which I needed for a business meeting. It was terrible- I could not open some necessary pages. I had Zoom with no camera to reduce bandwidth and the transmission was still “garbled” both ways.

Excellent breakfast and great evening meals too. The receptionists were absolutely super in giving us advice on local transport and visitor attractions. The waiters and waitresses were also very friendly and helpful and very accommodating in explanations and assistance. Highly recommended.

Dejligt nyt hotel hvor alt spiller. Gode senge, fin morgenmad, isolerede værelser. Dog ligger det ikke i det fedeste område. Der er 2 km til den gamle bydel som er den mest charmerende. Der er mange biler i områder der dytter og der er meget smog ligesom i Catania fordi alle har en bil i Italien og de ikke har infrastrukturen til at tænke bæredygtighed.

agreat spot syracuse..easy location for driving to all the places you want to see. about 20 min walk to the end of Ortigia. plenty to see in the immediate area plus a market and gas station next door

Quando voglio assistere a qualche rappresentazione al Teatro Greco prenoto a questo hotel: ideale per la vicinanza, confortevole, pulito, abbondante colazione e piscina sul tetto, parcheggio interno. Il personale è discreto ed efficiente. Anche quest'anno si è dimostrato all'altezza.

The Mercure hotel is quite modern and fairly comfortable. The staff was very helpful as well and there is a nice rooftop bar. It is pretty far from the attractive part of Siracusa, and getting there required a 20-30 minute walk. Not a huge impediment but something to consider.

Great location for exploring Syracuse, especially close to the archeological park. Mostly friendly staff and good service in the restaurant for dinner. The room is a decent size, clean and has a powerful shower. The breakfast had a good range of options but the 'hot' food was cold. Would have been good to have some powdered or long-life milk provided in the room for tea, instead of needing to request some from the bar.
