This was a nice hotel with an ample buffet breakfast. Our room was comfortable, but not well appointed. The location was good. We were able to walk everywhere. The parking is very inconvenient and when we left our car for a moment to bring our luggage into the hotel, we were given a 29 euro ticket. There is no help in moving your luggage. We thought it would have been nice to have someone from the hotel watch the car until we got our luggage situated. The receptionist shrugged her shoulder when we told her about the ticket. The evening receptionist showed some sympathy. We would not recommend the hotel if you are arriving by car.

A lovely building with a great roof terrace to watch the sunset. Staff were really friendly and coordinated a valet pick up for our car on arrival which worked out great. Room spacious with good amenities. Lots of choices for breakfast. If we are ever fortunate to be in Ortigia again, wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The blending of old and new architectural features was interesting and unique. Our group booked 3 suites/apartments and each was very spacious and different. The location was very convenient. We were impressed on how the staff was continually cleaning spaces around the hotel. We loved the rooftop patio and the waterviews. The furniture needs upgrading some of the upholstery was stained.

We loved this hotel. It was in a great position for the public solarium and for a variety of restaurants and cafes. The service was very good from the reception to the cleaning. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs and a sun lounger plus there was a great sun roof terrace with very comfortable seating . There is a lift to the top floors which not all hotels have in Sicily. The breakfast was good and offered a huge variety of foods.

Fantastic newly renovated hotell. Located in short walking distance from everything in Ortigia. We had a four person room. This is an appartement with a Large bedroom and bathroom. A separate livingroom with full kitchen, large diningtable and a sofa that converts to a double bed. Also a washingmachine for your loundry and a small private balcony. A large rooftop terrace with sunbeds are available. Breakfast is OK but could have been made a bit more exciting.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was small; the towel holder was rusted. The air conditioner was so noisy we had to turn it off at night in order to sleep. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet was nice. Like most hotels in Ortigia, the parking was about about a half mile away—long to drag suitcases!

The room is spacious and clean (other than the dusty, mildewy curtains). The description is misleading and I would not have chosen it because there is no sea view, no breakfast included and there wasn't even coffee and tea in the room. The receptionist even said our room has a sea view.

For the price I was not impressed. The room was large but very dark— the shower was not very nice (rusty, water not so warm), had to pay for bottled water and the safe did not work.

Beautiful setting—perfect combination of preserving original architecture and providing modern comforts like strong AC and modern bathroom. Loved my stay in the sea view room. Was a great size, had everything I needed. Staff so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Amazing location. Perfect balance of being able to rest but also right in the mix. Quiet at night. Will return.

Room was small, but clean. Most surprising was that for a standard room, there were windows that opened to a wall, only 2 feet away!!! With a window looking down to our room, so we had to keep the shutters closed. Quite stifling. We didn't expect a water view, but it just felt like a closet.

The building was beautiful and full of character. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. It was close to bars, restaurants and shops. The valet parking was well worth the $25 Euro particularly after a long day of driving. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

The breakfast was good though some fruit salad would have been nice. The other guests seemed baffled by the self service requirements. Maybe some greater guidance (rotation direction of guests) and induction to self service etiquette might have helped. The staff were helpful and kept their coolt despite the demanding guests at peak times. The front desk staff were exceptional.

We were not familiar and it took a minute to locate as the entrance is not facing the street. Once we found it, Giuliani checked us right in and set up a parking valet for us. She helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room. Beautiful building with great history. Rooms were quiet and clean. The Manager, Domenico was an absolute treat and made us feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back. Grazie Mille, Lanterne Magiche! You have earned guests for a lifetime.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights stay. The staff was extremely professional and nice. They arranged taxi and tuk tuk rides. Their breakfast was a great way to start our mornings. Highly recommended and would stay there again.

Front desk staff was not nice. In flexible. The deluxe apartment was the worst choice. The upstairs has a kitchen, the basement is basically barely enough to fit in one bed. Everything is old. The furniture looks like antique. The stuff in the kitchen is old and dirty, not even dare to use it.

Beautiful setting—perfect combination of preserving original architecture and providing modern comforts like strong AC and modern bathroom. Loved my stay in the sea view room. Was a great size, had everything I needed. Staff so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Amazing location. Perfect balance of being able to rest but also right in the mix. Quiet at night. Will return.

This 'apartment' was located in an ideal area - within a 8-10 minute walk from the city center. No frills (which is totally ok with me) -- located on a pedestrian street so definitely no parking at hotel, however, parking garage located within a couple of blocks and $25 euro/day so they were able to accommodate us. Staff was helpful (recommended one of our favorite restaurants on this vacation!) and was clean!

We loved this hotel. It was in a great position for the public solarium and for a variety of restaurants and cafes. The service was very good from the reception to the cleaning. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs and a sun lounger plus there was a great sun roof terrace with very comfortable seating . There is a lift to the top floors which not all hotels have in Sicily. The breakfast was good and offered a huge variety of foods.

The building was beautiful and full of character. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. It was close to bars, restaurants and shops. The valet parking was well worth the $25 Euro particularly after a long day of driving. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

The breakfast was good though some fruit salad would have been nice. The other guests seemed baffled by the self service requirements. Maybe some greater guidance (rotation direction of guests) and induction to self service etiquette might have helped. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Ortigia sehr genossen und das Hotel liegt wirklich optimal um die Halbinsel auch am Abend zu erkunden. Das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit, z.B. auch mit Tipps zum Parken. Interessant fanden wir die alten Filmprojektoren, die im Haus ausgestellt wurden. Bedingt durch die dichte Bauweise gab es bei unserem Zimmer leider keine Aussicht und auch kaum Helligkeit von draußen. Das Frühstück fanden wir eher unterdurchschnittlich verglichen mit unseren anderen Hotels auf unserer Sizilienreise. Z.B. gab es keine Eierspeisen oder andere warme Komponenten.

The breakfast was really good, many choices. The valet did an amazing job, I would recommend it to everyone! So worth it! It had a lot of character to the rooms, we had 3 different rooms and each one was different and enchanting! Very close to everything! Highly recommend!

Incredible accommodations and building set in a quiet and quaint alley. Couldn’t have imagined a nicer room for our stay in Ortigia. The breakfast was stellar and staff were all very helpful and communicative.

Fantastic newly renovated hotell. Located in short walking distance from everything in Ortigia. We had a four person room. This is an appartement with a Large bedroom and bathroom. A separate livingroom with full kitchen, large diningtable and a sofa that converts to a double bed. Also a washingmachine for your loundry and a small private balcony. A large rooftop terrace with sunbeds are available. Breakfast is OK but could have been made a bit more exciting.

The reception workers are extremely helpful and kind- offering lots of suggestions and tips. The hotel is spread out with some small apartments with kitchenettes and washing machines (very helpful!) Great location in the city- easy to walk to lots of areas.

Pilar at the front desk was kind, helpful and thoughtful. She made great recommendations for dinner. Archeological park was amazing; excellent walking tour of Ortigia. Wish we had stayed more than two days.
