Aside from enjoying our stay, we loved the fact that there was a parking garage directly across the street that provided and "in-and-out" rate for hotel guests. That could not have been more convenient. We will be back on our next visit to Philadelphia.

A little hard to find, (not much signage) . Parking garage directly across street, that they provide a discount for. Old building, with narrow halls. Nice comfy room. Solid location to nearby sights, food and public transit.

It appeared that the place is changing ownership. Some areas were under construction. The elevator was very slow. The reception area is pretty small and it’s where the continental breakfast is served. Place was a bit run down.

Basic hotel that was everything we needed. The location is excellent, close to everything you need. Rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Do know this is a very old building that has been upgraded to a clean state. Breakfast was not actually served, but a cold lunch in a fridge. The parking is in a pay lot across the road (approx $50USD/day). The price is right. And it gave us everything we needed.

Great central location. Very walkable to lots of sites. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Only complaint was workers pounding on and ripping up the hallway flooring until 10 at night, starting up again at 7 the next morning.

This property is clean and the staff were nice. The elevator is tiny and the shower takes a while to heat up, but I’d definitely stay here again for the price and the area. CVS and Starbucks are across the street and Wawa was a few blocks away.

Friendly staff. The room I was given had an open bar of soap from the previous guest in the shower as well as a small towel hanging on the shower head which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. Bonus is that hotel is very close to most notable locations in Philadelphia.

Old outdated, not well maintained property, in desperate need of renovation. Dark dreary decor. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Lobby is tiny, crammed with front desk, not well organized breakfast counter and lobby seating. Housekeeping was non existent, room not cleaned by housekeeper, barely got clean towels upon request. Will not stay here again.

This was a great stay. Customer service at this location is top-notch. I walked in *very* jet lagged and not thinking straight, and the associate at the desk got me checked in and on my way with a smile. The location itself is super convenient -- about 4 blocks from the metro, including the Airport Line Regional Rail, and with all kinds of food options right there. The room was very clean (even the top rails on the shower enclosure were dust-free), the bed was comfortable, and the grab-and-go breakfast is very generous. The "city view" room had a little street noise, but the air conditioner hid the sound. The building is a bit older, with narrow hallways and a small elevator, but that's expected given this part of the city. The price was very competitive. I would definitely stay here again.

The entire property was filthy. Glad it was a brown bag breakfast to go because it was too dirty to eat there. Only 1 of the 3 lamps in our room worked. Floors were uneven. The room had a window a/c unit that clunked on & off. The toilet faced the shower and our knees hit the glass of the shower. It was ridiculous. I took a picture of it to show if someone from corporate wants to see.

Location was good. and room was really spacious. However the air conditioning unit was SUPER noisy and the street noise was quite loud (had room 401). As for the parking it would be nice if the information on the web would outline that the available parking is across the street with in and out privileges As for the breakfast, it was the worst I ever saw. The hotel should not even bother providing it

The hotel was average at best but not comfortable. The bed and pillows are awful and we could hear the neighbors in the next room having sex for hours. Hasn't the worst place I've stayed and the location is awesome. The halls and elevator were quite narrow but it is an old building. Overall i would give it a 5 out of 10.

The hotel was nice and within walking distance to some good places. Parking was a bit difficult and expensive. Just meters and garages. The air conditioner in the room was quite noisy. But overall, it's a good place to stay for a few days.

The good: 1. Excellent location in downtown Philly. 2. Good size room that appears to be updated in the past year or so. 3. Effective AC and Heat. 4. Comfortable Bed. The middle: 1. Price was a little higher than what we wanted, but it was acceptable. The bad: Nothing to note!

Filthy carpets, narrow hallways, tiny elevator that crawled and was always in use by staff, bear-minimum breakfast. At first they gave me a tiny room with a desk wedged against the bed. When I returned angry, they gave me what they seemed to think was their best—a larger room that had no air temperature control—and it was quite cold.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff is friendly. The rooms are very small. I could not even completely open my closet door because a large hutch partially blocked the door. There is bed but no chairs or place for a guest to sit. There are really no amenities. A coffee machine sits in the downstairs lounge but is not in use. They provide a brown bag breakfast which consisted of a yogurt, Cheetos, Fruit Loops and a muffin. I really just wanted a place to stay close to historic Center City and did not care about luxuries. I noted that other reviewers paid lower rates than mine. I paid $1101.91 for three nights. That is just a bit too much for the level of accommodations provided.

It said it had air conditioning and it did not, just 2 plug in wall heaters. I run on the hot side and really needed the coolness. The toilet facing right against the shower door made it hard to maneuver

I don't even want to give it one star. It was awful , the service was awful when I checked in. The person strived to get me out of there as quick as possible. He threw the room keys at me...didnt hand them to me. barely said anything to me throughout the exchange event when I asked questions. The floor was sticky walking in the bathroom in my room had not been cleaned what so ever. The fridge did not work. some of the outlets didn't work. It was a terrible stay.

The staff was super nice. They let us leave our bags there until it was time to leave and the rooms were nice and clean. It was a great location too. Parking was a bit of a headache though but mainly because I was given bad directions - but not from the hotel. The hotel was very nice.

This hotel is in poor shape. The floors look like they had some recent water damage in the hallway and the AC in the room while it worked was incredibly loud. In addition, every time we went out for breakfast around 7:00 a.m. there was no coffee left. At one point we were locked out of our room because the hotel attendant mistakenly programmed our keys for only one night of our stay. Overall I would not stay here again.

They cancelled my reservation 30 mins before arrival while I was driving to Philadelphia. I had no place to sleep and couldnt find another hotel. The woman at the front desk was nasty and just said.Well Sorry. We overbook all the time. As if I should just sleep in the street. I was literally stuck in Philly and couldnt find another hotel. DONT BOOK HERE!!!!

Guest Service NO formal training in hospitality. 1. Their Tone and Verbal voice and body language was hideous. I was given his information when asked on a ripped off piece of paper bag after I tried to defuse the situation. I wanted too take a picture and he literally almost jumped across the counter and snatched my phone OOMH.

The location of this hotel makes it a good destination overall - you are within walking distance of the historic district of Philadelphia and have bus stops on the corner. It’s also conveniently located opposites a parking garage and a CVS so you have somewhere for toiletries, drinks etc. the staff were lovely but it’s not the best looking hotel inside and it’s a noisy street on the weekends. The noise outside you can live with though.

Location was good. and room was really spacious. However the air conditioning unit was SUPER noisy and the street noise was quite loud (had room 401). As for the parking it would be nice if the information on the web would outline that the available parking is across the street with in and out privileges As for the breakfast, it was the worst I ever saw. The hotel should not even bother providing it

The hotel was fine. You get what you pay for. The room was large but the elevator and hallways very tight (it is an old building). The beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not good. Non-existent if you ask me. The coffee was disgusting and they had make your own waffles, which was nice but we opted to go somewhere else for breakfast on the 2nd day. They can definitely make some minor improvements, like clean up at the bottom of the stairs, adjust the screws to the door in the room, would help a lot. Next time I will pay a little extra and go somewhere else.

We did not find any good varieties for breakfast. It was below the basic level. Hotel was very neat and clean. It was convenient for the sightseeing and walkable streets.

A literal hole in the wall, very unassuming, but had almost everything I needed for an extended weekend stay. A desk and / or table in the room would come in handy, so that\'s where "almost" is coming from. Water pressure in the shower could also be better. I heard another person complain about it as well. Breakfast was basic, but quite OK, meeting expectations. I don\'t think I would chose this hotel if traveling with family, but will look for availability there if I\'m ever back in Philly by myself again.

This was a great stay. Customer service at this location is top-notch. I walked in *very* jet lagged and not thinking straight, and the associate at the desk got me checked in and on my way with a smile. The location itself is super convenient -- about 4 blocks from the metro, including the Airport Line Regional Rail, and with all kinds of food options right there. The room was very clean (even the top rails on the shower enclosure were dust-free), the bed was comfortable, and the grab-and-go breakfast is very generous. The "city view" room had a little street noise, but the air conditioner hid the sound. The building is a bit older, with narrow hallways and a small elevator, but that's expected given this part of the city. The price was very competitive. I would definitely stay here again.

Basic hotel that was everything we needed. The location is excellent, close to everything you need. Rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Do know this is a very old building that has been upgraded to a clean state. Breakfast was not actually served, but a cold lunch in a fridge. The parking is in a pay lot across the road (approx $50USD/day). The price is right. And it gave us everything we needed.

The building is very old with wood beam floors that creak as other guest pass you by. However, I am a sound sleeper so that didn't bother me. The bathrooms are new/modern, the place is super clean, the staff is AMAZING, I enjoyed the breakfast very much, and the building is kept in great shape. The location is central to all of the activities that Central City has to offer.

Roger at the front desk was terrific. The bathroom needed to be better cleaned. the wall tiles had mildew in the shower stall. The glass shelf inside the shower stall looked like it was about to fall off the wall. Same with the toilet paper holder, it was not attached to the wall correctly. Look like it could’ve fallen off quickly. Looks like some paint was torn off the wall in the bathroom. Nothing like a little paint coildnt fix. I mention all this regarding room 402 so that the next person has a better experience.

Clean room no issues no bugs no mice. Great for a weekend getaway. Close by center city and plenty restaurants to choose from and close to transportation. Breakfast is minimum not a buffet breakfast. Staff was good.
