We loved our stay at Crown Plaza. On arrival staff wore very welcoming and helpful. Our room was just what we wanted ,clean comfortable and with a great view. Breakfast in the morning was beautiful and plenty some. The only thing that we wore disappointed with was the swimming area. No men's changing area, meant you had to walk through the reception area in a dressing gown. Swimming pool was cold and we felt uncomfortable using the steam room as men wore loitering out side it. We did not feel relaxed and went back to our room. Hotel in it self was Fab. Thank you .

Easy to find being right on the dock side. With on site parking we were able to park up and leave the car until ready to depart 2 days later. Check in was smooth and easy. The staff were all friendly and helpful, pointing out points of interest and providing directions when needed. All the staff were great but in particular John the doorman was always ready for a chat with a smile. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable with good amenities. We made use of the pool and steam room to help us relax. We only ate breakfast at the hotel but we thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a varied selection available, all freshly made, none of it being left to stand but rather being readily replenished as needed. Although the hotel was on the docks next to a main thoroughfare and there was a huge concert going on the room was remarkably quiet. As mentioned the hotel was on the docks so there was plenty to see and do within walking distance. For Beatles fans the Cavern is easily reached but is very loud and crowded. We found a quieter less busy alternative in The Beatles story on Albert docks. Well worth a visit. Not to mention riding the ferry on the Mersey. All in all we had an enjoyable stay and recommend the Plaza for its location, staff and amenities.

Great experience all round, every single member of staff we interacted with was a pleasure. Hotel was clean. Lifts were speedy so wasn’t an issue being on third floor. Loads of options for breakfast. Swimming is a book in system which I think should be clearer when booking- however that process was easy and pool was clean too.

Air conditioning a little loud and not effective at cooling room. Moan about the cut off times for kids at the pool. We choose to stay there for the pools but could not use them as it was adults only after 7pm.

Great stay as a couple. Perfect spot for access to the city and all the facilities. Pool and sauna excellent. Gym near and tidy. Club Lounge was really great added extra. Perfect for a quiet and chilled breakfast. And a late afternoon snack!

Overall nice hotel with a car park guaranteed for over night stays which is very useful in Liverpool. Found the pool area a bit grubby and in need of a refurb, pool area was very wet and mats not at bottom of stairs (ladies changing up/down a spiral staircase) not due to lack of staff as 3 chatting on pool reception! Room was just what we needed comfy beds and shower was fab! We went to the bar and were not acknowledged by staff members, other tables having waiter service we had to go to the bar and order and collect our own! Buffet breakfast was amazing staff were very welcoming and friendly especially to our little one, overall we would definitely stay again.

Clean and bright and great location. Seemed understaffed. Nobody answered when I called reception and I was told that it was because they were busy. Decoration in communal areas very grey with minimal soft furnishings or plants. Makes it feel cold on atmosphere. I reported a fault in the bathroom extractor on day one. Nothing happened aboit it at all. Underwhelmed with this hotel. Gym and pool great.

Good location and had a great view of the cruise ships coming and going into port every day. Unfortunately the room was boiling to the point it was not comfortable. The windows don’t open and the air conditioning wasn’t very good. We did ask maintenance to check and they said it was all working fine. Hotel provided plug in fan, but fresh air would have been nicer. Not sure we’d stay here again

Hotel is beautiful and the rooms were very clean. The only downside was that i received a complimentary upgrade to room 436 which was a beautiful room overlooking the water but it was incredibly noisy from the ventilation system above. I asked if we could be moved to a different room of the same grade but they downgraded us back to standard which was disappointing. Also i felt that the breakfast room had far to many tables in. It's not nice trying to squeeze between tables when people are eating

Excellent in every way OTHER THAN THE COOLING. The room air con was not working properly and the room would not cool to anywhere near the advertised 19 degrees C. And with no opening window the room was uncomfortably hot all night.

The room is clean enough and the staff are friendly. However the hotel is tired. The room is tiny and is billed as a standard Queen room - the bed is NOT a queen size and for the cost it is definitely not good value on any level. Also £19 per night (discounted!) car parking is a shocker when I have paid nearly £600 for 2 nights. We are both disabled and to be fair didn’t tell them, don’t actually have to but have to say that being on the fourth floor at the far end of the corridor is ok unless you get to the room on the second day only to discover that the room key hadn’t been reactivated. Then had to go all the way back to reception to collect the new key. Breakfast was poor, overcooked and soggy. Hash browns full of fat, fried eggs hard, black pudding like rocks. Tried to complain to 2 under managers about the extortionate rates for a tiny room and bathroom but was told they didn’t set the rates and they were higher because Liverpool were playing. I get that but I expect better amenities. Interesting that the photo for the hotel shows the jacuzzi - no mention that the ceiling had collapsed on it a month ago and it is awaiting a replacement so no jacuzzi. Also just to be petty, no biscuits replenished during the housekeeping service. Feel throughly ripped off and let down. Would have happily discussed with someone but no one interested.

Thier was a function/party going on the night we went near to our room music still playing at midnight we phoned reception and complained and they said the music was going off in 10 minutes which it did but to have loud music playing after midnight with no consideration for other guests was unforgivable so will not be booking this hotel again when next in Liverpool.

I've stayed here a few times and been very satisfied. This time traveling as a lone traveler I was very disappointed, the bed was not a queen as I booked and was extremely uncomfortable and hard. The pillows were a disgrace and needed to be thrown out my animals have better pillows!! There wasn't a phone in the room either (always has been in every other room)but a sign to say that you can ring for room service!! The price of the room was exactly the same as it would be for two travelers. Woke up in agony with my back and extremely tired. Won't be staying again.

Right from arrival we were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. When we arrived we mentioned having never been to Liverpool and wanting to see the liver building to which the staff member kindly upgraded our room to one with a view of the building. A very nice gesture. The food was very good and variety was brilliant. Facilities were clean. We would definitely come back.

Andrius was a delight when we checked in. Very polite and friendly. Such a warm welcome. The overall hotel/communal areas is clean & welcoming. We stayed in a standard queen room. Room was clean, issue with the plugs both bath and sink as the water took a long time to drain. Extremely disappointed in the room service. We ordered food around 10pm. The sandwich was very stale which we couldn’t eat, and the pizza was really undercooked. For the price we paid we expected much better. The young brunette girl at checkout didn’t seem to care and was not sympathetic towards us. Also the cost for parking is a joke. Especially as a guest staying at the hotel. Overall, great location on the docks and close to everything. Clean and spacious hotel. I would stay again but maybe park somewhere cheaper.

Really nice hotel with the bonus of having its own on site car park. Great location for the docks area plus the main attractions in the centre. Delicious breakfast with plenty of options. Couldn't fault it and a lovely 81 year old Doorman who had a real twinkle in his eye and was so helpful and knowledgeable - nothing was too much trouble - he is a real credit to the hotel!

The only quibble I would make would be queuing for 20 mins to check in. I would suggest that one of the managers might be made available at busy times to avoid guests having to stand and wait as their first experience of the hotel was less than ideal. This is not in anyway a criticism of the reception staff who were doing their best and very charming. Booking to use the pool rather takes away any spontaneous ideas of a swim something we had planned to do when booking. In all though a lovely hotel in a great location, beautifully clean, lovely rooms and friendly staff. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent 2 day stay. Clean, very comfortable rooms. Breakfast on both days was very good with a great selection of food. Waiting staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately the female member of staff at the reception who booked us in and out appeared miserable and unhappy at her work! Perhaps she needs to work with the waiting staff for a while to learn more about customer service !! Overall an excellent hotel in a great location.

Warm welcome on arrival by reception staff. Good to have on-site parking in the centre of the city. Room was very clean. Bathroom very dated, cracked floor tiles, shower not working as well as it could and pop-up waste in wash basin not working. Breakfast was disappointing, we were travelling as a group of four, two had an early breakfast and found the food not very hot, one of us is gluten free and was directed by a member of staff to the wrong food only to be realised when double checking, the scrambled eggs were very watery.

Very nice spacious hotel and well laid out. Large lounge area with comfy sofas and chairs to enjoy well made cocktails. Breakfast was good and plentyfull. One thing to mention, every purchase from the bar has a 10% service charge automatically added no matter what amount. This can be removed by asking the server at the time with no issues. Very good location for walking to near by restaurants or places of interest.

I stay here regularly I find it well positioned for walking and public transport. It has excellent on site parking, which is rare in Liverpool. The staff at the hotel hit absolutely the right level of friendliness and being accommodating. The restaurant serves great food at a reasonable price. All round a fabulous hotel.

Just stayed 1 night for the Joe Bonamassa gig at the M&S arena.Accommodation/facilities fine.Had a quick dinner at the hotel which was very good and done quickly for us because we hadn't much time.Staff were SO VERY helpful and friendly especially Rose & Sofia in the restaurant.

Our second stay, part of a longer trip. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only a quick stopover but we managed a pleasant walk round the nearby dock area. The breakfast was a good varied selection and the hot breakfast is refreshed regularly. All in all a very pleasant stay and we’re looking forward to returning for a longer stay.
