This is a great renovation of this old motor inn. Really beautifuuly done. The rooms are spacious comfortable, with a fridge. The TV is set to access your streaming apps, then wipes the info when you leave. I love that! The grounds are lovely too. Places to sit outside. Also a common area for tea,coffee and micrwave etc and a place to sit and work. This is a really well thought out experinece all round and economical as well. IAnd of course the best location. Shops and restuarants of Venice and Santa Monica so close. I'll be coming back when I travel to Santa Monica again!

Great place for the location and price! Easy to park in either lot - love the free parking. Will stay here again. Only thing I recommend to owner is too add an additional trash can in the unit, only have the one in the bathroom was a little limiting!

From the minute we arrived we were treated with an exceptional customer service. Free parking made it very convenient. The room was very spacious and looked second to none. Price was more than fair. Side note: After my departure, the front desk notified me that I had left some of the belongings behind. They were kind enough to notify me before I even noticed.

I adored the chill vibe of this place. It packs a lot of modern charm and personality in the small footprint of a midcentury roadside motel. I think what makes this property extra special are the tucked-away patios and garden areas (there are three). These are quiet hangout spots outfitted with lounge furniture, tables and chairs, water fountains, hanging basket chairs, and a ping-pong table. They’ve done an artful job with landscaping: passion fruit vines, olive trees, grasses, and succulents. I love supporting boutique properties like this. Props to the proprietors for preserving and revitalizing a piece of vintage, mid-century Venice!

Incredible! Had the best stay with my girls and actually wished we had booked more nights! This is a place I will come back to again and again, such a great property. Loved the communal room with the record player and up to date vinyl, cool outdoor ping pong area, my only wish was that coffee was served earlier or in room option (5am riser for business), but I figured out how to brew it lol (caffeine junky here!) Quiet, clean, comfortable! Thanks so much for an awesome experience and see you next time!

Bathroom needs improvement. Constant mildew smell and mold stains on the ceiling. Seemed like it washing off. Shower floor was cracked and peeling and felt like there was no support underneath. The floor throughout was cracked and peeling.

The place was dirty, in bathroom there was even dead spider (rather big one), someone stepped into bath in boots and it was super dirty. In the room and bathroom it was so dusty as it seemed to be under repair but they failed to clean it. Never ever will stay in Aliza. I’d better sleep in park on a bench

Great accommodations, staff were amazing, highly recommend. The property is lovely, rooms are clean dn comfy, and the hotel had a great vibe. Sadly, the Venice area seems like a failed experiment in extreme liberalism, homeless people everywhere, people living in their cars, literally saw some things I never needed to see. Probably won't be visiting again for quite some time.

We had a great time here, it's about a 20 minute walk to the beach along bars and restaurants and the property itself was very clean and beautiful. We spoke to the owner and the housekeeping workers and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back and definitely recommend to friends!

Everything was mostly great. It was clean, the owners/staff were friendly, it was easy to check in. My one complaint is that I was in the room next to the office and there is a community area where people could sit right outside my window. There were people sitting and talking quite loudly all morning so I couldn't sleep in. If you want quiet - reserve an area away from the office.

As beautiful and nice as it was the only source of heat was a wall heater that only warmed about five foot of the 1100 sqft area we rented. And it was hard to sleep every window curtain was see thin material and the rooms were bright from lights right outside the window. It was like sleeping with the light on in every room. The owner was amazing though I wish them the best

Room was clean and the staff and owner very friendly. The problem were that the suite was very small and lacked many simple amenities that one would expect in a hotel suite at this price. There was almost no place to put our clothing other than the floor. The bedroom had no shelves or drawers. There was a small couch but not a single chair. Sub standard sized toilet, small sink and one small shelf in bathroom. Not even tissues supplied.

Nice forecourt, looks nice from the outside. Great location. Check in was smooth - electronic door was nice and simple. No AC although that’s being added shortly. Strange layout of room, bathroom was fine shower/bath faucets were just plain odd to operate. Slept badly because I had to have the windows open (see no AC). Room was clean, the finish was a little rough around the edges and very bare bones.. Would consider staying again.

The location was good. The room was clean and freshly painted. We requested a room with a Queen Bed and a pullout couch. The room did not have sheets for the couch and no extra towels. There isn’t someone there at night so we emailed the contact email and did not receive a response back.

A peaceful charming hotel tucked into a hipster neighborhood in Venice. The accommodations were great but the service is the diamond in the rough here. He responded so quickly with every question and the booking and check-in process couldn’t have been easier. The Aliza is a cute hotel. We were hoping to stay closer to the beach, but reviews of anything closer to the beach in our price range included noise, parking issues and potentially crime. The room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The shower was awesome. Being across the street from Whole Foods was convenient. We enjoyed the 3/4 mile walk to the beach. Coffee is available in the office. The outside area isn’t large, but there are several places to sit outside and enjoy the sun. We also arrived early and they let us check in. Much appreciated!

I was really happy with my choice to stay at the Aliza. I brought a family of 6, and they accommodated us in 1 room with ample space. This hotel touts its location being centered between Santa Monica and Venice Beach, and I agree with that, but what was really cool was the fact that there was a Lime kiosk and Whole Foods right across the street! The owner was very nice and took a lot of time to talk to me about dining and recreation options in the area. I really love the look of the place- very contemporary with almost a Mediterranean style and it's evident ownership takes a lot of care and pride keeping the grounds and rooms looking good.

Aliza Hotel was in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay! There was a fantastic oputdoor area with ping pong and plenty of coffee and water for my kids to drink while we waited for our room to be ready. The Staff was very friendly and had no problem with us checking in an hour early to hit the beach sooner!
