The area around the hotel was wonderful for convenience, totally walkable and safe. The hotel itself was clean and the room was bright, well Sized, and had the right amenities. The bathroom Was a good size and the shower had great water pressure, with lovely toiletries provided. The only complaint was that we tried every night of our stay to go to the rooftop for a drink before retiring to our room For the night. But we were turned away every time. It would have been nice as guests of the hotel to be be able to enjoy this.

The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful! The room had an amazing view of the acropolis and the church which was so cool, however, the church bells can be heard in your room! The hotel provides ear plugs so it’s not the end of the world! The location of this hotel is amazing, close to everything! The fitness center is also really well equipped and very clean!

This is a small boutique type hotel. The area is very safe and walkable. We walked to almost all points of interest, 30 minutes at most. There is a rooftop restaurant and bar though be aware reservations are needed in the evening. We were barely able to sit at the bar for drinks and dessert. Breakfast was ok. The view of the Acropolis and Parthenon are wonderful, especially at night. Staff was helpful giving directions and calling an airport cab.

Very convenient location to attractions, shopping and restaurants. Our room was small and clean. Front desk help was excellent. Cons: our room was right beside the elevator so a bit noisy. Also they were renovating floors 1and 2. We were next to the stairwell so could hear them working by 8am. Also the rooftop terrace was also closed for renovations which was to bad as it looked like it had a great view of the Acropolis.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we arrived in the room to a nice bottle of wine. Very thoughtful! The location was great as everything was walkable. The rooftop restaurant had an amazing view of the acropolis.

The location of Regal Hotel Mitropoleos was fantastic. We were looking for something in the heart of things and this met that need. Our view from our 2nd floor window was incredible. We had a perfect view of the Acropolis. Note, make sure you ask to be on 2nd floor or higher and facing the Acropolis. The staff were great. There was a bar on the 7th floor that had a fantastic view of the Acropolis. Staff there were wonderful also. There were a few things that I would change if I could. The carpets were old and stained, the cleanliness of the areas outside of the rooms could be improved and the way the showers were built had water all over the bathroom floor. For the time we stayed there, these things didn’t bother us, but it might for others or for longer stays.

Our room was exactly what we were looking for. We had an incredible view of the Acropolis and were within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see and experience in the city. The rooftop restaurant has incredible food and drinks. Our shower leaked into our room. It did not ruin our time there, but it's why we took a star off the property conditions.

O Hotel é muito bem localizado em Plaka. Fui acomodado no primeiro andar e por isto todo o ruído da rua incomodou muito. As janelas não são acústicas . A Igreja da praça ao lado toca um sino em horários desagradáveis ,para quem descansa a falta de um bom isolamento acústico faz falta. As fotos da internet não mostram que a entrada do hotel é uma portinha. Para um hotel 4 estrelas não é nem de perto o que você espera. Fotos e vídeos da internet enganam. O Hotel tem um restaurante no Rooftop que tem uma vista espetacular da Acrópole. A comida é muito boa, o bar também. Neste mesmo Rooftop é servido o café da manhã não incluso na diária e também muito bom. O banheiro é pequeno e a água espalha no banheiro. O box não isola totalmente, falta pressão no chuveiro e a temperatura é ajustável perfeitamente . A cama é boa sim com bom enxoval. A limpeza do quarto é bem feita. No entanto o custo benefício está dentro da proposta do Hotel três estrelas. Quem quiser se hospedar pode ir tranquilamente pois vai entregar o necessário sem luxo e maiores confortos. Come-se bem em volta e recomendo para o café da manhã o ERGON. É satisfação garantida.

This property is in the best location. I travelled on my own and felt very safe. Incredible view of the Acropolis from the balcony. I was on the 6th floor and loved just standing and looking at everything around me. 5 minutes to Monastiraki Station and 5 minutes the other way to Syntagma Station. All the boutique shops are around the corner along with the restaurants and cafes. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful hotel right in the heart of Athens - a very busy area. Our room had a magnificent view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom had limited bench space which was manageable. We had a private balcony with outdoor chairs and a coffee table. A great place to admire the view. The are a few supermarkets across the road and a laundromat close by, which is so useful for an extended stay. The rooftop bar and restaurant were excellent. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

La suite ne vaut pas son prix. Hélas. Mais le personnel est gentil. Et l’hôtel est très bien situé. À pied de beaucoup de choses intéressantes. Il n’y a aucun comptoir dans les salles de bain. Donc on ne peut absolument rien déposer autour du lavabo. C’est un irritant.

Nice view of the Acropolis from the bedroom window. The bedroom and bathroom were very compact but okay for a few nights. Unfortunately, sleep was disturbed as the stated sound-proofing failed to silence the noise of traffic etc from the street. Also, the airconditioning unit was noisy even when switched off; the noise was coming through the unit's ventilation panels from elsewhere. Nice size TV but the internet kept dropping each evening making it difficult to watch anything via the internet.

And you will need them. - The walls are thin. You will hear your neighbours. - The windows are even thinner. You will hear everything that happens in the street. And that's a lot ... - There is a church in front of the hotel which starts ringing the bells at 7 in the morning. They are LOUD! Therefore I would not stay there again.

Mr. Stathis and his staff were amazing. A lovely hotel in the heart of the Monastiraki area, walking distance to all. I can't thank them enough for all the help and attention that they gave me and my three grandchildren during our stay. My husband and i will be visiting them again in October.

We came to The Regal for our honeymoon and it was amazing. They upgraded us no questions asked but wanted to be nice because the hotel was under renovation. Rooms were top notch and staff was over accommodating. We will be back!

Avoid it: unreliable, poor service, noisy and small rooms First of all, the service of this hotel is completely unreliable. During my stay, there was a taxi strike with no available taxis whatsoever (not even Uber). One day before, I organized with the hotel a transfer with the hotel's private driver/chauffeur to take me back to the airport the next day. The lady at the reception told me it was 100% confirmed and that the driver would show up the next morning. At night, I went to the reception once again to confirm my transfer. This time, they told me their driver might not show up and that they wouldn't know ("let's see if in the morning he shows up"). I mean, it's the hotel's private driver and they dont know? What? Totally unreliable on something people are expecting for and that they cannot be late. The hotel's driver never showed up indeed which shows the type of service this hotel provides. The reception just told me I need to understand these things happen (what?!) and to take the subway. I mean, this is totally unacceptable. Worst service I've ever seen. Last, but not least: rooms are very small (bathroom is microscopic) and very very noisy. They even give you airplane earplugs due to the noise. Despite its great location, avoid it at all costs.

The area around the hotel was wonderful for convenience, totally walkable and safe. The hotel itself was clean and the room was bright, well Sized, and had the right amenities. The bathroom Was a good size and the shower had great water pressure, with lovely toiletries provided. The only complaint was that we tried every night of our stay to go to the rooftop for a drink before retiring to our room For the night. But we were turned away every time. It would have been nice as guests of the hotel to be be able to enjoy this.

This property is in the best location. I travelled on my own and felt very safe. Incredible view of the Acropolis from the balcony. I was on the 6th floor and loved just standing and looking at everything around me. 5 minutes to Monastiraki Station and 5 minutes the other way to Syntagma Station. All the boutique shops are around the corner along with the restaurants and cafes. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Great hotel in a central location to explore the majority of historic sites in Athens. With plenty of shops and restaurants options on your doorstep or with 5-10 minutes walk. Customers service was great, room very clean. Highly recommended.

I can not say enough about the wonderful staff, they have been fabulous. The location was in the heart of everything, walking distance to shops, dining and historical locations. I would highly recommend the Regal as a preferred place to stay in the heart of Athens.

We loved this hotel aside from two issues: 1: They charged us additional taxes when we arrived claiming that Expedia didn’t cover it. If true this seems manipulative since I’ve never been charged taxes on top of and after I booked a place online. 2: The hotel restaurant has a beautiful view of the Parthenon and the vibe is great but the food isn’t good and our waitress inaccurately reflected the menu in order to increase our bill and loudly asked out loud if my wife wanted to add a tip for the meal after providing poor service in what seemed like an attempt to force one in a country where that’s not expected and wouldn’t be provided with the poor service that we received. We definitely wouldn’t eat there again.

This is a small boutique type hotel. The area is very safe and walkable. We walked to almost all points of interest, 30 minutes at most. There is a rooftop restaurant and bar though be aware reservations are needed in the evening. We were barely able to sit at the bar for drinks and dessert. Breakfast was ok. The view of the Acropolis and Parthenon are wonderful, especially at night. Staff was helpful giving directions and calling an airport cab.

Very convenient location to attractions, shopping and restaurants. Our room was small and clean. Front desk help was excellent. Cons: our room was right beside the elevator so a bit noisy. Also they were renovating floors 1and 2. We were next to the stairwell so could hear them working by 8am. Also the rooftop terrace was also closed for renovations which was to bad as it looked like it had a great view of the Acropolis.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we arrived in the room to a nice bottle of wine. Very thoughtful! The location was great as everything was walkable. The rooftop restaurant had an amazing view of the acropolis.

Our room was exactly what we were looking for. We had an incredible view of the Acropolis and were within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see and experience in the city. The rooftop restaurant has incredible food and drinks. Our shower leaked into our room. It did not ruin our time there, but it's why we took a star off the property conditions.

The location and view were amazing, and the staff were great. One downside, our room was on the 3rd floor facing the street. It was very loud all night with cars, garbage/recycling trucks, etc. The hotel did provide ear plugs in the bathroom which were very needed. If you were on the back of the building or higher, the noise might not have been so bad.

This hotel was in a very convenient location- we were able to walk to many great sites and enjoyed easy access to lots of shopping and restaurants. The rooftop restaurant was a bonus with a fantastic view and friendly staff!

Centrally located, helpful staff and a clean and comfortable room! Only downside was the late nigh bar tossing bottles and the early morning sidewalk drilling. Otherwise it’s a great hotel and highly recommend!
