Ruby Foo is not one of the big chain hotels, but with really good quality. Staff members are very nice. Hotel decorations looked unique and great. Room is very spacious and clean. Hotel has decent facilities: filter water machine for all rooms, which is environmental friendly and taste good. Swimming pool, gym with a Sauna room is a great combination. Nespresso coffee is a highlight. We will go back to this hotel if we visit Montreal again.

This is a large hotel with free parking which makes it a great deal. There is a Metro (subway) station within easy walking distance and all kinds of fast food restaurants, including Dunn's, next door. The hotel has a great breakfast restaurant attached to it and a lovely pool and workout room. There were all kinds of events taking place while I was there including a wedding reception but the staff handled the increase in work very professionally. Would definitely stay there again.

Good hotel with nice facilities. Away from the downtown core, easy to get to and many conveniences around d the hotel including a subway stop. Free parking is great. Nice pool and the 4 season outdoor ice rink is cool. Only thing missing at Ruby Foo’s is a bar on the facility.

Bathroom was clean except for mold around bathtub and shower curtain. Room was very dusty causing my companion and i severe coughing episodes. Decided to check the air conditioning heating unit and discovered it to be completely clogged with dust and dirt. By the look of it no cleaning has been done in at least a year. I am sure many of the air conditioning/heating room units have also not been cleaned. Very disappointed with Ruby Foo's which has been in the past a very well respected place to stay in Montreal for vacations and conference seminars and shows. Decided not to purchase any hotel items from the gift boutique like the famous Ruby foo's bathrobe after being made ill from the over powering dust levels in the hotel room. Maybe in the future i may book another room but for now I will give them time to recapture there glory days and become once again a great hotel.

Decent Location, Poor Cleanliness Great location - only 5 minutes from the train station. Staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was reasonably clean. However, the room clearly needed a deep clean. There were stains on walls, dirt in corners, behind furniture, around door frames, and areas like faucet handles and behind the toilet that showed neglect. When I reported this to management with photos, the manager spoke with me and offered to send someone right away, but I was busy at the moment. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up afterwards - I expected at least some attempt to follow up or offer a room change later. Good for the convenient location, but the deep cleaning standards need serious improvement and follow-through on guest concerns is lacking.

The main concern of our stay at this hotel was the cleaness. We’ve several photos demonstrating this (hair and curly one’s if you understand) we think we saw other things on the mattress which looked like bug which we brought down to client service The client service was impeccable. Taha switch us 4 differents standard queen before switching us to a king size bedroom (which was ok since we were 2). Even he saw from his own eyes in thats 5th room hair… he switch one of the pillows we stayed the remaining of our stay in that room our cards kept being disactivated but client service reactivated them we asked for a cleaning of our room which got dirtier as the mop had paint on it and dragged it onto our floor etc

We booked the Signature Room, but it felt more like a standard motel room. In fact, the regular room I had stayed in previously offered a better overall experience. The upgrade did not justify the additional cost. Unfortunately, even the bed lacked comfort, which further impacted the stay. The hotel lobby looks so nice and modern and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I also like that the Orange Julius restaurant is close. The bed is very comfortable…probably the best part about the room. For the bad, the area of the hotel where my room was seemed much older. When you walk in there’s a strong musty smell and the direction to go isn’t very clear. Once in the room I was disappointed with the decor and age of the facility. I was able to get used to the smell but couldn’t get over the moldy caulking in the tub or the noisy street outside. I would likely only come back if I needed a comfortable sleep near the airport.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, overall, it felt run down. There was paint chipping off the bathroom door, the coffee machine was cracked, some of the outlets didn’t work. It felt as though other than cleaning, no real attention has been paid to the rooms in some time. I’d stay there again in a pinch, but it would definitely not be my first choice.

They really need to do a checklist of the things in the room to make sure they work before allowing it to be used by a guest. Way too many things did not work. The hair dryer, bolted to the wall, did not work. The mini-fridge, on its medium setting, froze my drinks solid. The coffee maker was defective and leaked almost all the water. There was no alarm clock with a charging hub, though apparently there was supposed to be one. There was no power outlet near the night tables. The nearest outlets were concealed behind the bed or behind a sofa, yet no extension cord in the room with a power bar to make up for this glaring inadequacy in an age of digital devices or CPAP machines. Towels were unduly rationed. Room was nicely cleaned by very polite housekeeing ladies. Service to correct problems mostly took way too long or wasn't provided at all.

No towels on arrival. Room phone did not work. When we requested towels at reception desk, only half were delivered while we were out for supper, and that delivery person left our door open! That is a cardinal sin for any hotel. We were furious. We were long time customers of Ruby Foo but we won’t stay there ever again.

I booked a four-night stay at Hôtel Ruby Foo’s based on the hotel’s advertised amenities, specifically the presence of an on-site restaurant, which was essential for my client meetings. Upon arrival, I was informed that the restaurant was under construction (a critical detail that was never disclosed during the booking process). Realizing during check in that the hotel could not meet my needs, I informed the front desk that I would not be staying. I was told this would not be a problem and that I would not be charged. Unfortunately, despite this clear communication and the hotel's acknowledgment of the issue, I was still charged for one night. Check in time is 4pm and my room was not ready. At around 5pm, the clerk notified me the room was finally ready. When I got to the room, staff was still cleaning the room and it was not ready. I waited another 15 mins at the door before being able to get my room. There was only 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel provided with 4-5 bath towels.

Found this hotel to be a great place to stay in Montreal. Good for families, couples or singles. There is lots to walk to in this area. Good food and some shopping. Located right off the Decarie, its easy to access too! I will stay here again.

The breakfast is not included however, the restaurant is very nice and the service is good. Coffee is available all day in the lobby and in your room. Hotel allowed us to have an early check-in and check-out due to our travel schedule. We will certainly use Hotel Ruby Foo again when we are in Montreal.
