Location of the hotel is great but it does come with some noise as a result. Room itself absolutely fine. Check in straight forward. My issue is with the lift as one was out of order during my stay, it was impossible to get in the working lift from 3rd floor as it’s always full/it goes to the top floors first.

Nice hotel, loved the area. Booked when it was Chinese new year celebrations so very busy. Very convenient for restaurants, shopping, the station. Rooms are compact but that’s ok with me, somewhere comfortable to get a nights sleep. Has underground secure parking, a big plus.

Parking at hotel is secure but the access is only suitable for small cars (Golf).. All points of contact from entrance/exit and all walls inside are covered in the scars of cars scraped against them. There is no space to turn and no clearance to open a boot. There is alternative parking very close (public Arcadia car park - similar price but of course not Secure). Rooms are very small but clean and staff are polite and helpful. It is 4 mins walk to new Station -local area is very down market!

Our only issue was that the air conditioning barely worked, if it did at all. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed the evening we spent huddled up in the lounge.

Wonderful hotel...clean and everything you need in the room. Car park at hotel was handy, not as tight as some reviews suggested. Would stay there again if the need arose. Thanks to reception staff who were very helpful

Clean rooms. No ironing facilities in the room. Will have to go and iron in a small windowless room at the end of the corridor which feels a bit stuffy. Close to lots of restaurants and within walking distance of good shopping. Okay hotel in general just jot sure of suitability for business travellers. Parking onsite but very limited and cramped and bigger cars will struggle. Good hotel if the car is small and only a night or two.

Excellent value for the money. Great location, easily walkable, and close to numerous good restaurants. Check-in was smooth and easy, with request for a quiet room happily accommodated (and thus had none of the noise issues other reviews reported). The entry and lobby were inviting, and the security key for the elevator appreciated. Room and bathroom are adequate for one person but could be tight for two. The room was hot, as others note, but the fan helped. The bed was comfortable, and the shower strong. A few small areas for improvements: - the desk chair was old and the paint peeling - only the mattress pad had a sheet on it, rather than the mattress itself - in line with other ecological measures, a separate bin for recycling would be nice - a room safe always feels wise - password for the Internet smart as well Many thanks!

Have stayed a few times before. Some refurbishment since 2 years ago but still v tight for a couple. Bathroom ok if you’re under 90kg otherwise a real squeeze in the narrow shower stall. Bed sheets was only around the thin bed topper, not around the mattress. Don’t recommend the hotel’s underground carpark - very tight spaces with lots of columns. Super narrow gate entry. Lift was out of order so we had to drag our cases up the car park ramp in the rain and enter via main hotel lobby.

Staff very friendly and helpful, main bar/reception area was nice, bar was reasonably priced. (We didn't have breakfast as part of our stay). We were able to park on site in the underground car park - which has maybe 15 spaces and is quite small to manoeuvre within. Bed was comfortable and linens/towels were clean. Room was on the small side but it had everything we needed and the shower had good water flow. The downside to staying on a Friday night was that there were several music venues/nightclubs on the nearby street, and one had speakers outside (not sure why as it was heavily raining all evening/night and about 7 degrees C). Whilst not exceptionally loud it could be heard from our room until 2.30am so our sleep was not great. Not the hotels fault and they had placed us in a room as far from the source as possible. Location was good, very close to the Bullring Centre and main New Street shopping and a short walk to the canal areas.

Impeccably clean room. Great shower. Good wifi. Cheap food available downstairs. Excellent place to stay on a budget. The only issue, and a minor one at that, is the key cards often fail and you need them to access the lifts too. This is only really an issue if you’re in a rush and there’s a queue at reception - but for this reason I’d say not great for other business travellers who don’t have time to waste.

I arrived at midnight to check-in, there was an issue with them finding my booking even though I had all the appropriate confirmation etc. It took around 30 mins to sort, throughout which I was just sat in the lobby waiting and other costumers were being served before. The room was very sad and tired, the carpet was rough, dirty and discoloured - there was dust coming out of a bed headboard? Just overall very meh and would not recommend.

Great central location for Birmingham and easy to find even by car. Extremely limited parking at the hotel (less than 20 spaces). Room was small but functional. Some cobwebs on the ceiling so cleanliness not as expected. All staff were very polite and acknowledge me instantly, very pleasant. My room was on the second floor and at night you could hear the sound from a nearby club so for light sleepers, not ideal.

Silver fish in the rooms, rooms were not clean they were dusty and there was a massive drainage problem. The showers absolutely stank, hotel staff kindly moved our room but unfortunately the other room was just as bad. Checked out after an hour of being there and went and stayed elsewgere

Only booked as someone else in group booked a room here. Didn't check but not proper air condition so room was not comfortable in hot weather, big fan provided but was full of dust! Noisy as mentioned in other reviews (wish I'd checked prior), tried to change room but fully booked. Reception did provide temporary earplugs as a solution so better than nothing. Bedsheet not thoroughly clean and also mattress topper was stained and looked old and dirty (the side that I saw as bedsheet dislodged when pulling out the duvet/blanket). Bathroom sink also dirty specs that are imbedded and can't wash away, shower glass separated with a gap so water might seep outside onto floor where sink is. Only good thing is location and friendly staff.

Overall, it’s ok for a few nights. The lobby is fine. The breakfast is hot and plentiful. It’s also a very reasonable price. The breakfast staff works hard. The room was ok. The bed frame in our room was broken tho. Housekeeping staff were nice. The 3rd floor carpeting is DISGUSTING. I mean it’s AWFUL! The staff were all kind except Claudia. She is rude, unwelcoming and shouldn’t be in customer service. Management should step in and do some serious work on the carpet and that one staff members attitude. She made me cry at one point. Other than that, it’s a decent place to stay. mdisgusting!

Staff were lovely, great customer service and friendly. Rooms are very small, open the door and you will fall onto the bed! Bathroom tidy, but the shower was clean, pressure good and lots of hot water. We stayed on a Friday night and the night club close bar was playing a lot of base till at least 1am. Being ear plugs like I did! Breakfast was ok, eggs cooked order which was a nice touch.

The hotel is close to the station, but there is a nightclub next door which meant my room was literally vibrating with the noise until gone 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, which was less than ideal! The rooms have seen better days and are very basic. A good range of choices for breakfast though.

Perfect central location. Very welcoming staff, especially at breakfast. Bar etc is nice and modern. Upstairs beeds serious renovation, dated and tired hallways. Bedroom carpets are incredibly poor condition, so much so I had to put a towel on the floor to walk on it, even when wearing socks. Otherwise the bathrooms are clean and modern although compact, beds are comfortable. Just a very dated room.

Disappointing that staff took up all the car parking spaces. We had to wait until shift change to park up, meaning we had to pay for the public car park first. Pillows in the room were like sleeping on bricks. Walls so thin I could hear the neighbours farting. Rooms ridiculously hot.

Room is smaller than I expected. There's no air conditioner in room and luckily there's window can be opened. My room is a connecting room and I can clearly hear the kid next door screaming at 10pm. The location is fine, next to the indoor food market and lots of Chinese restaurants nearby. You can even smell the hotpot from the restaurant downstairs. I arrived hotel at 12:45pm, I didn't expect the room is ready by that time (i know it's 3pm for checkin), the reception staff told me I could get the room immediately by paying £20 extra. TBH, the room for a night is actually £45, that's quite a lot for having room 2 hours earlier.

Stayed with my brother. No air conditioning which really dampened things in the summer. Was provided with a fan though. Bathroom was more like one you’d find on a train. Didn’t think it was that good value for money sorry

I arrived at midnight to check-in, there was an issue with them finding my booking even though I had all the appropriate confirmation etc. It took around 30 mins to sort, throughout which I was just sat in the lobby waiting and other costumers were being served before. The room was very sad and tired, the carpet was rough, dirty and discoloured - there was dust coming out of a bed headboard? Just overall very meh and would not recommend.

It’s in a wonderful location for seeing the Ozzie Osbourne sites and the Christmas Market. It’s located a 3-5 min walk from the main train station and it’s in China town. All of that is wonderful. The front lobby is clean and overall nice. The staff were great until today. I was bothered 3x at breakfast about paying I had already paid the night before. It was finally found and they apologized. By that time, I was already upset. The breakfast is hot and plentiful. We were happy with the breakfast and the price. Our bed frame was broken and the 3rd floor carpets are HORRIBLY dirty. ag. b at

Normally a fantastic place to visit, however, there were works going on inside the hotel. As such, there was hammering, loud voices, and sanding throughout the day - I was woken up around 8-8.30 by the sound of sanding! Unfortunately, I discovered a live fly wriggling around in my burger likely from the lettuce. I informed the staff who provided me with a replacement, a free drink, and a free dessert. Whilst an unpleasant experience, the staff were fantastic. Normally a great place but the building works let this stay down. In future, prewarning would be best.

Overall, it’s ok for a few nights. The lobby is fine. The breakfast is hot and plentiful. It’s also a very reasonable price. The breakfast staff works hard. The room was ok. The bed frame in our room was broken tho. Housekeeping staff were nice. The 3rd floor carpeting is DISGUSTING. I mean it’s AWFUL! The staff were all kind except Claudia. She is rude, unwelcoming and shouldn’t be in customer service. Management should step in and do some serious work on the carpet and that one staff members attitude. She made me cry at one point. Other than that, it’s a decent place to stay. mdisgusting!

The hotel is close to the station, but there is a nightclub next door which meant my room was literally vibrating with the noise until gone 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, which was less than ideal! The rooms have seen better days and are very basic. A good range of choices for breakfast though.

The room was basic but spacious. Bed and mattresses looked a bit tired. Windows open. On site parking is small but convenient. Location is great. HOWEVER, THE NOISE! There is a night club right downstairs that BLASTS dancing music and bass. You will have to close windows (no air) and wear ear plugs and even then you will feel room shaking. We barely slept. This is why it’s so cheap.

This hotel is in a great location for Chinatown and The Glee Club. Very convenient multi-storey car park facing the hotel - don't forget to let the hotel know to get your discounted rate. We were there on a Monday evening, and had no problems with noise etc. Good value for money.

Great location. Short walk from New Street and Moor Street stations. Close to great restaurants and bars in Hurst St area. Slight annoyance at check-in by being continually asked about a confirmation number when none was in any e-mail or other communication. Still pleasant and checked in little early which was pleasing. Good decor and clean comfy rooms. Breakfast was good although felt short-staffed as all seemed to fall on one guy. Noisy from centre next door at night so sound-proofing could be better.

Staff were lovely, great customer service and friendly. Rooms are very small, open the door and you will fall onto the bed! Bathroom tidy, but the shower was clean, pressure good and lots of hot water. We stayed on a Friday night and the night club close bar was playing a lot of base till at least 1am. So disappointed hve used other Ibis hotels far better.. bed awful stains , slept on top of duvet .. lifts took ages to get to where you wanted to go and breakfast not best bacon like rubber eggs chewy no marmalade orange juice tasted watered down .. The staff were very pleasant which is a shame the rest let the place down .. room key didn't work up and down in lifts to reception..

Some of the rooms have been done up but I unfortunately was put into one that has not been done up. There was blood spatter on the ceiling, the shower was hanging off the wall, the shower head wouldn't stay up and the TV doesn't have a guide feature. I was pleasantly surprised to see the small heater actually also serves as a cooler (I think just water fan coil cooler so not technically air conditioning?) so it wasn't too hot. The staff are friendly and helpful but some of the rooms are in desperate need of attention.

Everything was close by. Staff was helpful as I left my flip flop there when j checked out and totally forgotten to grab them. I called and they asked me to email so that they can look into the house keeping to see if it was handover. Within 24 hours they got back to me and they've found it and kept it for me until I came back. Lovely and honest staff
