Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very comfortable could do with a little TLC for a 4 star hotel. Parking is terrible as only 15 spaces for whole hotel and is first come basis.

Staff very welcoming and friendly, we received a free upgrade room was beautiful spotlessly clean one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. My only criticism would be the lack of parking facilities, having to down load the NCP if no spaces was inconvenient it didn’t spoilt our stay loved Manchester ❤️

Great one night stay, large room with kingsize comfy bed and nice to get biscuits and hot chocolate. The car park is very small so had to park in thd ncp car park nearby and didnt get a discount code as had to get a app on my phone to get the code but was in a rush and it sedmed like toomuch trouble so ended up paying £35 for 1 night parking which i thought was abit steep. The rooms were very comfy, large with a kingsize bed. We booked 2 sulerior rooms and one was upgraded to a suite for free which was very nice. It was nice to get hot chocolate and biscuits in the room too.

Great hotel for family weekend break in Manchester. Convenient for the science museum and city centre shopping. Some building work in progress in the area but didn't affect our stay. Spacious room with two double beds. Very good breakfast, fresh and hot (as hotel breakfast often are not!). Good value as a similar price to Premier Inn but definitely a cut above. Only draw back, offsite parking expensive at £20 per 24 hours, hassle of having to download and register for ncp app to get this discounted rate.

lovely clean rooms, friendly staff easy check in! Tried to park in hotel carpark but was full, managed to get parked in the NCP carpark round the corner which was very easy to do with the discount code given by the hotel. would happily stay here again

Lovely hotel but had to keep closing the curtains to get changed as room looked straight out onto tennis courts and bar opposite. Felt very exposed. Had to pay for parking at local NCP.

Had a girlie weekend so had a family room, loved the room, plenty of clean towels and bed was really comfy. The staff were really attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would definatley stay there again. Breakfast was good as you could have the Buffett or table service, or both if you wanted.

The hotel was pleasant and the room was well decorated. However the shower didnt work, upon complaint no fix was performed. There was also a leak in the corner of the room which caused a large area of carpet to be wet and unusable. Overall our experience was negative due to these factors and i had expected better from the marriott and for the money paid.

At about 2am on the night of my stay, I was awoken by the couple on the room next to me arguing loudly, the walls are thin so O could hear everything. I had to call reception to send someone up to that room and difuse the situation. Other than that, this is a nice hotel with helpful staff and fine services.

Arriving on a cold January afternoon, you might expect the heating to be working. Unfortunately, it was not. There was an oil filled convector heater in place of the malfunctioning air con, but it wasn’t left on. The room measured a chilling 12 degrees on arrival and after an hour, I had to contact reception to have them organise another 2 convector heaters to bring the temperature up to a reasonable level. Reception did offer to look at options for switching rooms but my wife was warming up in the bath by then. Disappointing for a £183 room, no other compensation offered. Otherwise a pleasant stay, staff very helpful but somewhat tarnished by the chilling experience on arrival.

We arrived very early at the hotel. We knew that it would be very unlikey that there would be a room available. The front desk happily stored our bags, whilst we went into the city. Early in the afternoon they phoned to advise us that our room was ready. On arrival to our room, we found that we had been upgraded to a duplex suite, with balcony overlooking the river/canal. Absolutey fabulous! But also they had balloons, sweets, birthday card for my wife and a drinks vouchers to welcome us.Fantastic! We had a brilliant stay. Breakfast was superb. The best 2 night stay we could have wished for. Everyone was so kind and extremely helpful. We are going to make this hotel our choice when we return to Manchester. The location is excellent with excellent restaurants and bars within easy walking distance (Spinningfields). Highly recommend!

Been this hotel many time which reflect on our previous experiences of staying here. The shine was time off this time when going for breakfast(a quite time) we were told abruptly to wait for a couple of minutes, until the member of staff was ready. She then proceeded to have several conversations with other people at our expense; we stood for around 5-7 minutes. We just found this poor customer service.

We were in a suite and they didn’t even make up the room. We called at 6pm to complain and were told housekeeping had gone home. They said they would bring us clean towels and water and sort the room. We went out for dinner and when we returned, yes, there was water on the table and clean towels, but the bed hadn’t been straightened or anything else cleaned. Not what you should expect from a 4 star Marriott hotel.

Third time staying at the Victoria and Albert. Fantastic hotel always clean and nothing is never too much trouble. Special mention for Steph on reception she was very helpful, friendly and an absolute credit to the hotel. We will be back soon 🙂

Lovely property but staff unhelpful - when we wanted to have a breakfast in the morning which was to cost £5 extra on top of the original £15 quoted since we forgot to book it the night before…staff just didn’t want to know about helping guests. Our Room had adjoining locked door to another room and guests in there were shouting and swearing for over 1/2 an hour which was very disappointing and frustrating.

Fantastic hotel, easy to walk to pretty much anything, though it is at the edge of Manchester proper. The free #1 bus provides a great connection to Piccadilly unless it’s rush hour, then it’s faster to walk. There is lots of new construction in the area giving it a weird corporate architecture vibe crossed with the industrial history of the town.

I’ve stayed twice at the Marriott in Manchester and it’s a nice hotel. Breakfast was good and there’s no rush to check out. Only issue you is there’s quite a lot of building work ongoing nearby that starts up around 8am in the week.

The ceilings were very low and dark, so not a good place if you are tall. Location is a little further out from the center so not much happening in the vicinity. Maybe once all the construction is complete there will be more things to do nearby. Property was clean, staff friendly, breakfast good.

Another pleasant stay, convenient for where we like to dine and for the theatre. Attentive staff, excellent breakfast, recommend the omelette. Comfortable beds, clean and sizeable rooms for the four of us, could do with more charging ports but not a deal breaker. Also appreciate the hydration stations outside the rooms as we go through alot of water; would recommend.

We booked a stay here for our 18th anniversary. We chose it because we are vegan and could see the hotel had vegan food in the restaurant. We loved the hotel, the building is gorgeous, and the room really nice. We went to the theatre and when we came back we tried to order room service from the night menu. There are no vegan options, despite such an effort going into the day menu and offering rooms with vegan breakfast. We were very disappointed to not be able to eat, and after calling reception to clarify - we had to go out of the hotel to find food. A massive oversight with the menu and disappointing, since we booked the hotel for their vegan menu.
