,As far as Fairmonts go, this one is getting a little tired and in need of a refresh, but our stay was great nonetheless. I wanted to mention to the hotel that the valet service is TERRIBLE. We called 15 min in advance, as recommended by the front desk, and waiting 45 minutes for our car and ended up being 30 minutes late for an appointment. I would like a refund on the valet service.

Rooms weren't a large as they thought they would be. Shower/bathroom very small. Long time to get on elevators. Kids partying next door until 6 am. Security came up twice, but they didn't stop. Security should have stayed/followed up and made sure they stopped or needed to leave. Zero sleep that night.

Only reason for the low review is because the Hotel is still dealing with a labour dispute (feb 2025) and most services in the hotel were closed. No pool, no restaurant etc only 1 door open to enter hotel.

The hotel was beautiful. The wait for the elevators was absolutely horrendous. It took away at least 2-3 hours of our stay there because it took 30 minutes to get on the elevator every time. There obviously weren't enough working elevators for the number of guests. We also ate at the in-hotel restaurant. The choices were limited and the food was not great although the service was excellent. The gym, pool, sauna facilities were excellent.

Property is in great condition, as one would expect. Impeccable service, great location, perfect maintenance. On the negative side, certain policies need to be revisited. Mini fridge is full of drinks, that will be charged if take out one, and can not be emptied for self use without paying 25 $s ?? Storing bags for few hours after checkout is charged per bag?? Sounds very cheap and unconventional.

Excellent hotel, very clean, staff are extremely professional, close to the Bell Centre and restaurants. Great coffee shops in main lobby too. After the game went to the hotel bar for a few drinks and once again the staff were awesome! Would highly recommend this hotel for any stays in downtown Montreal. This hotel is always my first choice when in Montreal.

This was my second time this year at Fairmont TQE, and the convenient location is the main reason to stay here. Their pool and gym are very nice however the room sizes are really small. I was showering in the gym since the washroom in the room was very small and not meant for a couple or family to share. This time around I was disappointed by their level of cleanliness, the washroom had hairs on the towel and on the floor. Overall, I enjoyed the pool and gym, and it was a fun short trip. Hope they improve the level of service and cleanliness.

Staff are not in uniform. Everyone looks shabby like they just woke up and wore a wrinkly t shirt. One person at check in was wearing a basketball jersey. Imagine paying thousands of dollars for a suite but having a kid in a basketball jersey check you in. This hotel is not worth the money anymore. Look elsewhere before settling for this hotel. Don’t fall for the pretty lobby when underneath it all there are some MAJOR issues you might face. The toilet in my room had feces left over from the previous guest (I have taken photos). The curtain was broken from the left side and we were unable to adjust it. I went to the pool on two different days and there was a small object in the pool that hadn’t been cleaned up. The valet team does not tuck in their shirts, I questioned giving them my car and the type of care they would drive it with. The plugs near the bedside do not work. Anything you plug in will be loose and even if you hold it up there is no electricity coming from the plugs. If these are the issues I can see, imagine all the issues we cannot see when it comes to cleanliness.

They were on strike and we never had our room serviced during the stay. No restaurants or room service. And we had to cross a picket line to enter/exit. It was a disaster. Not one break on the cost of our stay.

Wonderful experience we had during the Montreal Formula 1 2024 weekend. Check in was easy peasy, we have a corner unit room with 2 Queen Beds, room is fully renovated, 5th floor, very quiet and the cleanliness of the room. Housekeeping was excellent, they even prepped our beds for the evening each night that we stayed, for four nights. We asked for extra towels, slippers and some additional toiletries and they were very prompt that we got it right away. The staff from the bellman, front staff, housekeeping, and overall was above and beyond. They made sure our stay was a welcome and fantastic experience. Highly recommended during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend.

Difficult to find parking garage. Couldn’t figure out how to use air conditioner. Had to pay for or keep reconnecting to Wi-Fi. No complementary coffee. At night, kept hearing a vibration… I think it might have been the adjacent room, a phone maybe. I even got out of bed to see if there was a lost phone u see it. View was gross - parking lots & roofs. Not sure that we will stay here again.

Shower uses a halfway through glass instead of full curtain, so water easily splashes everywhere in the bathroom. Room phone and hairdryer didn’t work. We have 2 adults and 2 kids in the room; on the 2nd day, housekeeping left us with only 2 bath towels and took away our used cups and didn’t provide new ones. For a Fairmont hotel, I expected better design and service.

My 4th floor have a view of a concrete wall with gravel, felt like we were in the basement looking at people’s feet walking by. Rooms like these should not be a part of fairmont, very disappointing , will never stay at this hotel even though we like the fairmont brand overall

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at the Fairmont! I reserved 3 rooms to find out that they sold 2 of rooms and the hotel had no more rooms available. We had to sleep in our cars because we had no where to sleep. The manager told me that the rooms were not reserved and when I showed him the email confirmation he took my phone deleted the email and told me there was no email with my confirmation. I had to go get the email in my deleted items to show him only for him to tell me that it was not his problem and to contact Expedia. On top of all of this the Fairmont is refusing to reimburse for the rooms that I did not get and they are calling it a no show! I do not think I will ever book at a Fairmont again.

I did not actually stay at this hotel, but I was still fully charged, and my experience with their customer service was extremely disappointing. I notified the hotel one week in advance that I would not be able to travel due to an unexpected situation. Despite giving reasonable notice, they refused to offer any flexibility: they did not allow a date change, a credit, or even a partial refund. There was no willingness to find a fair solution. Being charged in full for a stay that never happened, with no attempt to accommodate or support the guest, made me feel treated unfairly. This situation says a lot about the hotel’s approach to customer service, which, in my opinion, is very poor and lacking empathy. I would strongly caution other travelers: if anything unexpected happens, do not expect understanding or support. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Housekeeping strike occurred during my week stay during Montreal Pride. My stay was fine but the lack of services, closed pool, lack of regular housekeeping made the trip sub par. I do appreciate the management trying their best but at $400 a night, I wish I got a discount.

The check in was the longest I have experienced in a long time. I am fine with this if it was busy - but it was obvious they were just chitchatting a lot with the other guests checking in - with no concern for the guests in line. The room was dated and minimal. Lighting was dark and the toilet seat was broken and kept falling off. Not what I would expect from a luxury hotel. Otherwise - the stay was fine. Good location, comfortable bed.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont. concierge staff in particular was very helpful, We went to Bell Centre to watch the Canadiens and were disappointed that room service had closed at 10pm, also I enquired to room service about a phone charger. Overall a great stay. Staff is outstanding, helped us with all our questions. Our room had a fantastic view of Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral. Hotel has access to Metro and Underground. Rosélys has amazing food and drinks, wonderful staff. Café Kréma has delicious coffee, croissants. Moment Spa a must for the most luxurious massage and facial.

We really like the QE in general. Very nice hotel, lovely service. But a few issues: wifi is not included. Nespresso pods are NOT recycled, but simply put in the garbage. We were not warned that reservations are absolutely needed for breakfast / brunch on Sunday and that it cost $85 / person.

It's an easy walk to the shopping district, Mont Royal, McGill U, U Montréal, Vieux Montréal, museums, the Bell Centre and the port area. Upper floors have gorgeous views of Mont Royal and the Basilica. Roselys is exquisite, but pricey. What really sets it apart, though, are the staff - every single member of the team that we interacted with made us feel as if we mattered to them. There was a time when I would speak my Ontario school French and get major eyeball rolls - those days are gone. If I speak French, I am politely spoken to in French, which I greatly appreciate. Big shout out to the housekeeping team who even sweetly folded my partner's pjs. Merci beaucoup á tous.
