Lovely location, friendly hotel

The hot breakfast could have offered more choices (mushrooms? Black Pudding?)and could have had much higher quality baked beans and sausages. Poor choice of fruit, few healthy options like nuts and seeds, no marmalade and only apricot jam. I didn't see any alternative milks. Please get rid of those awful jam dispensers.

Nice hotel in the center of Winchester. Close to transport, shopping and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff.

In desperate need of an upgrade. Very worn and dirty fixtures and fittings in room. Very creaky and uncomfortable bed. Noise outside the window from 4am onwards so soundproofing lacking. Brilliant location and staff helpful.

Bed was comfortable, location is central and very close to the cathedral but the whole place is in desperate need of refurbishment. The decor is tired and dated, bathroom is grim, sealant around the sink and bath/shower is mouldy. I found 2 long dark hairs in the bathroom on entering (definitely not mine), one next to the sink and one in the bath. Tea stains all down the wall and over the skirting board where used tea bags have been thrown into the bin. The room furniture is dated and worn, tired and depressing. I wasn't even asked if my stay was okay on checkout, I suppose the staff know that it is poor; I did feed back to the receptionist that the room was grim. Was told that my comments would be fed back to the management but who knows if this is true. I won't be returning.
