Days Inn Winchester

Lovely and powerful shower, drainage needs looking at as spilling out a bit from the shower onto the floor (Room 24). I stay over frequently for work, decentfacility including a nice sized TV and hair dryer in the room. Pleasently checked in and very comfy bed.

useful and easy to have a quiet place as well as have refreshments and there was a microwave in the lobby which is very convenient.

Basic hotel at a really great price. This hotel is an ex Premier Inn, you can tell by the old signage. So the basics have a good pedigree. Staff were great, there’s extra tea coffee and a microwave in reception. Parking is free but remember to register your vehicle on the iPad in reception. The ceramics in the bathroom weren’t what I would call spotless so they could improve in that score. Window was loose, I packed the clamp with some paper. Bed was fine, room soon heated up with the electric heater, only manual so we had to turn off in the middle of the night. Suggest 1 to 2 on the thermostat. Road is a good way away so noise wasn’t an issue, several shops and cafe outside in the services. There’s no way off the motorway locally so you have to drive a fair distance to get off the motorway and also a long way to get on to get to the hotel. We were visiting friends in Arlesford, only a few miles away but took 23 minutes to get back to the hotel. However given the price makes this hotel is a great option in the area.

I use it to stay weekly for my job. The staff are always smiling and welcoming. Quick to check in and easy leave your key check out in the morning I like having the same room each week (not telling you which one 😉) which they accomodate. Decent services with Fast Food and M&S options and coffee etc. Facilities in my room are great and always a comfortable stay. I do use earplugs as it's by a Motorway but just info for staying and not a criticism

The good. Just off the freeway south bound. Great for access to Winchester, not so getting back from there or other points south. Quiet, with a Burger King, a small M & store and a gas station. Avoid the gas station- high prices. The staff were OK, one was very helpful. It's quiet on the side aw ay from the freeway- can't speak for other rooms.The bad,it's run down and in desperate need of a refurb. Not that clean either. Hand towel was ripped, there was something on the wall over the bed heads. Food? Found a used Q tip in the bedside shelf. Good price, but we wouldn't go back. Beds where comfortable, heating good.

It is good for one night and pet friendly. Dog very well behave and we are sleep very well. We are ready catch ferry 😀

Handy stopover with reasonable catering on site.

Quick stop over on M3 Quiet location comfy bed Good shower no problems here would stay again useful microwave in reception for ready meals from M & S or Greg’s, a hundred yards away

Literally mold every where

The room smelled and the bathroom was dirty. There were stains in the toilet and sink that could be easily removed. The shower was slow to drain and water spilled on yhe floor. I mopped up the water with toilet paper and was shocked by the dirt. I have photos if the manager would like to see.

The accomodation was booked with breakfast, but they don’t have breakfast only a breakfast box!! The room was very dirty, they never clean it during your stay. I would not recommend it to anybody.

Disgustingly Mouldy Shower & Filthy Carpet – Avoid! We booked this hotel as a budget option, so we weren’t expecting luxury, but we did expect basic cleanliness. The shower room was covered in mould—so bad that we didn’t even use it. Absolutely disgusting. On top of that, the carpet smelled like it had never been washed. The whole place felt unclean and poorly maintained. We didn’t complain because the price was cheap, but honestly, no hotel should allow guests to stay in such conditions. If you care about hygiene, stay somewhere else.

Not sure where to start with this one. I’ll admit I did make the booking only a few weeks away from our arrival and because of that some of our regular hotels in the area were not available. I took a look at this Days in online and while it wasn’t ideal in terms of location I figured it looked ok for the few days we needed it. The first issue was I booked a family room with multiple beds and was given a room with a single bed. When I went to the front desk I was told that even though I booked a room with multiple beds they decided to give me one with a single bed because I put on guest at time of booking. I also prepaid for the early check in a few days before arrival and it was not in the system when I arrived. All that said the gentleman at the front desk did change the room and allow the 1pm check-in. I thought that was the end of any issues until I actually got into the room, the condition of the room left a bit to be desired. I’m not sure when last the carpet had ever been cleaned. There was Mold in the shower and around the tub, I had to create a shower mat out of a plastic bag in order to use it. There were spiders and other creatures in the room. The bathroom sink drain was stuck shut and I asked a member of staff to assist hoping he would see the condition of the room and maybe realise the room hadn’t been cleaned (in months) he just banged at it with a spoon and acted like I should have been able to fix it. This was not a great experience at all.

Not worth half what we paid. Moldy shower, dirty toilet and the toilet roll had fallen onto the floor in the corner which drew our attention to how filthy that whole corner was. Only one outlet in the whole room. Staff was friendly and fine but the place overall was dingy and creepy, far overpriced even at £99.

short stop over on route to a family holiday, this room had a dirty carpet, tv which didn't work and a poorly maintained bathroom with mould, damaged door and a toilet roll holder falling off. The bedroom also had cold on the skirting board.The maintenance on the property and decoration is needing a complete rethink as tired to say the least.

The hotel was incredibly dirty. -Mould covered the shower floor. -Crusted coffee stains in the mugs. -A used towel from the previous occupants hanging on the back of the bathroom door. -Picture frames missing from the walls. -The walls behind the beds was covered in dirty smudges which looked horribly like sweat..I had to pull the bed away from the walls to sleep in the middle of the room to avoid them and finally, -There was a dirty bedsheet underneath the bedsheet I was sleeping on. Overall experience was terrible. If I could give a 0/10 I would! I would never stay at this hotel, or possibly another Days Inn hotel again. And it wasn’t that cheap… £121… it should have been (with all the issues mentioned) less then £30

We were on a family trip. The rooms were not clean at all . The bathrooms looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned for quite awhile. There was rubbish down the side of the beds. There was a really dirty towel on top of unit and a pair of dirty socks by the side of the tv.

The staff in duty went above and beyond. When I had issues with a room they moved me twice and we're very friendly. Bedroom 1 - toilet leaked Bedroom 2 - toilet leaked, carpet in hoovered Bedroom 3 - (final) stain on bed base, carpet torn and faded. Bathroom smelt odd, old bath thing. The bed was comfortable but I just feel the maintenance done on this hotel and the cleaning service let it down. Some really basic upkeep was ignored. Really needs a refurb. Nevertheless, I cannot stress how helpful the man on the front desk was throughout as well as how friendly he was to make sure things could get resolved. Even when he was trying to go on break he was willing to help me out. The access to the service station was superb, so you had options for meals and didn't have to travel far for them

In the morning there are a few more options open - Pret, The Cornish Pasty Co and Greggs open up. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel itself is comfortable if a bit tired - and looks nothing like the picture on the website!

For what it was it was just what I needed, internet was surprisingly decent, bed was comfortable and shower was decent! So everything I needed and it done the job, was great!

We arrived & were given our key. In the room there were 2 TV’s neither of them worked due to wires being broken. Our shower had mould on the floor & after being on for less than 30 seconds started to overflow onto the floor due to the drain being blocked. The only staff member on shift came to the room twice to fix it but couldn’t. We were offered to wait until 11pm with 2 small children sleeping or the next morning. We asked to move rooms, this wasn’t able to happen. Our beds were extremely uncomfortable too.

We've stayed at this Days Inn quite a few times and always found it acceptable. We were quite disappointed this time to find the shower floor was dirty and we felt unable to use the shower. The other big issue was finding that the heating was off in the room - on the coldest day of the year !!!! The wall mounted heater was obviously known not to be working because a portable heater had been put in the room - l just wish they had switched it on before we checked in - which was after 8pm.by the way.

We had no hot water in the morning, so couldn't shower.

Our room stank of smoke and the window didn’t close properly. There were kids running up and down the hall making noise until gone midnight

The bed was comfortable and the bath and showers worked. The TV reception was poor. The lights above the mirror in the bedroom can only be switched at the wall socket by the entrance doode. Staff were helpful and polite.

Wall light was hanging of and dangerous. Lamp shades was all broken. Wall are all badly marked. Only 3 singles sockets which means we could plug everything in and no plug socket beside bed which was needed cause I have sleep apnea so needed to plug my machine in so I had to sleep at the bottom of the bed.

Manager was amazing - had an issue and sorted perfectly!!

Staff giveaway room in the middle of the night 1.30 am , people coming in whilst we was sleeping, Not good , then 10 mins later knocking on the door to see who we are ,

Arrived to be told I had no reservation despite me having the hotels.com email which n front of them. Eventually given a room key, room had no milk, bathroom had squashed dead flies on the wall, linen and towels were clean at least. Room had paint falling off the wall where a self had been removed. When I returned to me room last night the key didn’t work. You get what you pay for I guess.

The nearby facilities with cafe etc nearby were really good. Bed linen nice & clean but hair seen in the bath! Service was - frankly - sloppy. Despite cancelling one of the booked rooms and being told card details given were just to secure the booking the card was still charged the original larger amount (& even before my arrival). No apology and no amended receipt was offered without insistence. In addition, one of our allocated rooms already had someone in it.

Also advertised with breakfast, booked beakfast, paid for breakfast only to find they DON'T DO BREAKFAST! said they were going to refund the money but still haven't had it refunded over a week on. Helpful staff - pleasant - there was a double booking for my room - could be because it is not clear from the various emails you send that the initial booking has been made? I was informed they made a request for a refund and I am hoping to receive the same. Please assist. Good for business - short stay - clean and convenient location.

Helpful and friendly staff, easy check in.

Our family was traveling internationally and couldn’t make local phone calls when our rental car had a puncture issue, the hotel owner was very nice and helpful to call rental company to arrange road side assistance. Much appreciated!

No answer from reception when I tried to call lots of times. Website leads you to believe that Winchester City Centre is just 10mins away but reality is a £45 taxi journey each way to Winchester because the hotel is on the wrong side of the M3 so very unhappy about that 😞

Access from the motorway was only south bound

Very good for a functional stay with easy access to the motorway.

M3 closed for overnight work. This was not communicated to anyone staying at the hotel - 3 families were left without instructions advising on how to get to the hotel. We were all left driving around diversions surrounding the location until 12 p.m.! Finally, I got through to someone at the hotel, but they still did not give clear instructions for the resolution. Finally arrived in the small hours to a noisy room with dirty bed linen and shower facilities. No sleep was had by my group. We will not use or recommend this hotel again.

You can only access this property from one direction on the M3 -- this is not mentioned anywhere . The door had two voids in it and the door needs attention re security . You can clearly hear any noise in the hallway . The convenience is that it is located in a motorway services station .

This is in a motorway service station - you have to go up to the next junction to return to the hotel - which is a 16 mile round trip. This should really be made clear when booking. It was our intention to use as a base and get a taxi from an event - we were unable to do this because of the additional 16 miles. No glasses in rooms. No mugs in rooms. Fire alarm at 1am. Our stay was refunded.

Nice convenient location, surprisingly quiet. Need to remember on southbound side of M3 if coming from A34!

This was an okay place to stay. When you get on M3 from the north, make sure you keep right to stay on it. We missed it the first time and took another exit...had to go about 7 miles out of the way to come around and try it again. It's tricky (not easy on/easy off). We ate at Burger King, but it was more expensive because this is a Services area. We probably would look for something a little better next time.

Hotel ok just basic but ok for a stop off, breakfast poor just a box at a very expensive price

Room was clean and beds nice and comfortable. Dissatisfied as we included breakfast. It wasn't available for us. We were refunded.

Stay as expected for a days inn but no breakfast honoured on booking and all they do is a cold bagged breakfast which I was overcharged for and then told I had to pay again which I refused...This is not good and looking at avoiding days inn in the future ... Funny how you cannot order breakfast on a days inn booking anymore but somehow hotels think I am lieing.....
