It is 5 stars but for a non-traditional reason. It's very old school, i.e. no coffee maker, elevator that fits 2 people, one heavy metal old key that you turn in to the front desk when you leave, and need to get back when you return, small.If you are looking for a more modern presentation like a Hilton or something, then you would not like this. But it's right in the heart of everything! You walk out the fron door and you're in the thick of Firenze, and that's awesome. Friendly staff and affordable, I highly recommend, just understand what you're getting and what you're giving up. If you want old world Italy, here you go. We'd stay here again, 100%.

Great location. Comfortable room. Breakfast was typical and plenty. Parking required a walk with luggage via busy area and about 1/4 mile. Noisy because of location but used white noise app that helped. Don’t make as the permanent market. Had a great fun authentic lunch.

Though steps away from all the vibrant activity in the City, this hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. I would gladly stay here again.

Hotel un po’ datato ma nel complesso accogliente. Camera piccola ma sufficiente per tre giorni. Il bagno cieco non era il massimo. Colazione abbondante e personale sempre gentile e sorridente. Posizione ottima. Unico neo negativo: abbiamo trovato scarafaggi in bagno e in giro per le parti comuni: la struttura è vecchia per carità ma la disinfestazione periodica è d’obbligo!

Albergo Firenze was a convenient place to stay just a 15 min walk to the train and moments away from city central. The staff were always very helpful and breakfast was good. The only downfall was no A/C and keeping the windows open at night could be noisy and the bathroom smelled moderately of sewage.

The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. It’s right in the middle of everything. The guys at the front desk were absolutely wonderful. You would think this was the four seasons with the way that they were treating me. The room was decent. the bed was big, but the room was older. This is to be expected in Florence. The one main issue was the size of the shower. I get it. It’s Europe. Everything is small, but this was not a small shower. This was more of a vertical coffin. I was not able to bend down not even a little bit to touch my thighs. I’d have to turn the water off open the shower door, then able to bend down and wash my lower half of my body. Diego at the front desk was amazing. He had great recommendations and was always welcoming. Our room was small, but it did fit three twin beds. The shower/bath tub was very narrow. The air conditioner in our room was decades old and only blew out slightly cool air at a very slow rate. The location was perfect for us to walk to everything that we wanted to see.

This hotel is in the heart of Florence & very convenient to the Duomo and other attractions. I had a 5th floor room, which seemed an afterthought to the hotel. There were 4 rooms total on this floor (seemingly in the stairwell) and my room was next to the elevator. It was a bit noisy with others on the floor using the elevator at night. I'm not sure how the other floors of this hotel are laid out, but I would suggest not staying on the 5th floor. The lighting was not very good in the room or bathroom, especially for ladies wanting to do their makeup. When I arrived, the room was pitch black and there was no light switch near the door that I could feel. I needed to dig out my cell phone and use the flashlight to find a light switch. The bathtub/shower in the room was pretty "tall" and very slippery. I guess they don't believe in anti-slip mats or anything. Otherwise, staff was very friendly and helpful at this hotel.

This was our first time in Florence and the hotel was in a brilliant location for getting to all the main attractions along with the main station. All the staff were very friendly especially Simone who greeted us upon arrival and sorted out a minor issue with our booking which immediately made us feel very welcome.

We loved Albergo Firenze. The staff seemed genuinely pleased to see us and to help us with everything we might need. They often anticipated our needs before we could articulate them ourselves. The location couldn’t be better. Short walk to the Duomo, Uffizi, Academia, tons of shopping, restaurants, and gelato shops.The breakfast was excellent. Karima was the breakfast lady and she was so kind, pleasant, friendly, but also professional and efficient. Her happy smile was a wonderful way to start our days. Our room was wonderful. Very clean and pleasant. Comfortable bed, side tables with outlets at each one plus a nice-sized desk with great room for both hanging clothes, drawers, and shelves. A great window let us have a Birds Eye view from the 4th floor and let in cool air. Big bathroom with great hot shower. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it strongly to everyone!

This hotel has an amazing location. Literally, everything is within walking distance. You can walk to restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, and more. The convenience is unbeatable. The room was comfortable and clean, but the real star of the show is the location. You don't need public transportation or taxis to get around. Everything is at your feet. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central and convenient location.

Tout s'est bien passé, l'hotel est propre, le personnel est sympathique, et il est très bien placé en centre ville historique avec tout à proximité. Cette position centrale est aussi un défaut: les rues sont bruyantes jusque tard le soir (groupes de jeunes festifs) et les fenêtres laissent passer du bruit. De plus, lors de mon séjour, deux immeubles voisins étaient en plein travaux et les travaux commencent vers 5h du matin.

Fantastic location, very close to all the major sites. We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast (only downside was the single-use plastic cups for juice which is unnecessary). Room was nice but showing signs of a busy season. Just be aware that if your room faces the main street there will be late-night noise, but the central location makes it worth it. We would definitely stay again. As a side note (as it is not part of the hotel) the restaurant in the courtyard was fabulous. A lovely quiet spot away from all the busyness.

Took a cab from train station to property . Definitely too far to walk especially with luggage. Rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was offered for 15 Euro per person. The offerings didn’t seem to be worth the high price. We skipped it and went out for pastries and cappuccino in the mornings. Beautiful city with lots to see and admire. Awesome quality shopping, but in many cases very expensive. Would highly recommend this hotel for value, walkability and convenience. I
