This property is actually a 3rd floor walk up. My wife and I were travelling with our 13 month old son and booked this property specifically because it was classified as “accessible”. I learned this was not the case on check in and that there were 10 stairs from the street entry to the “lift” which was large enough for my wife and the stroller only. Once inside the actual hotel on 3rd floor of the building, there were another 4 stairs to walk up in order to get to our room. On check in, some random woman began to yell at us as she was concerned that we were overloading the elevator. On check out there was a homeless man passed out in the stairwell. Overall this was a highly disappointing experience

The hotel was nice but it was not easy to find! You have to go up an elevator to get to it which would have been nice to know before. Also, once you get upstairs all the rooms are on different levels so you have to carry your bags up or down a few stairs. Hotel staff were very friendly and offered to help carry the bags.

Central and close to attractions. Staff was very helpful. The security to get inside the hotel is a lot: you have to use an “electronic key” to open the big door ( remains close after 9 pm), then enter the passcode to open the gate. The elevator is SMALL, the stairs to get to the 3rd floor where the hotel is located, didn’t have light ( at least the 1st night we used). The electric connection to use the coffee machine or the kettle didn’t fit the wall, so we have to disconnect the mini fridge while we use any of this 2. The bathroom was clean but the water kept running if we didn’t pay close attention. The 4th floor rooms didn’t have access to the elevator so you have to use the stairs ( inconvenient with big luggage). Breakfast was really good and staff was super super nice.

Fantastic place to stay. Very convenient for the station. Very helpful and friendly staff especially Ricardo. Definitely take your keys out with you as we had a long wait at the front door for the bell to be answered.

Unser Zimmer befand sich in der 4. Etage des Gebäudes, bis zur 3. gab es aber einen kleinen Aufzug, und war bis auf die Fenster soweit renoviert. Das Personal war wirklich sehr freundlich und die Auswahl zum Frühstück sehr gut. Anbindung zum Flughafen per Tram T2 funktionierte gut, es war nur sehr voll. Die Lage war ruhig, wir konnten aber alles zu Fuß ablaufen. Insgesamt eine nette solide Unterkunft.

Dedo was fine for a boutique hotel in an old part of Florence. What I didn't expect is that you require 3 keys and a code to get into the building. The sign for the hotel is very small - so we missed it at first. Then, you are greeted with a large wood door (need a key if not opened), then a steel gate (need a passcode to get in), then you have to go up to the 3rd floor for reception. The rooms are small - but they are modern and clean. The noise in the hallway was a bit loud. The breakfast was great - lots of choices. Very tasty. Over all, it was fine - if you don't mind the hassle to get in.

Loved the hotel! However, bid disclaimer is that the hotel is located in the 3-4th floor of the building and to get to the elevator you must walk a flight of stairs. The elevator does not fit more than 2 people at a time, so if you’re traveling with luggage and children, this place might not be for you. Otherwise, the staff was superb, the breakfast had variety and was always fresh, and the rooms were very clean!

The rooms are clean with high ceilings, the hotel is centrally located, near the river and bridge to cross to the other side, giving you lots of options. There is a flight of stairs at the front of the building, it has a small lift to take you up to the reception of the property. If your room is on that level, no need to take additional stairs. However, if your room is located on the higher level, you will need to walk up a small flight of stairs to get there. There are staff to help with luggage during check in and check out.

Overall the hotel was nice for a small boutique hotel. The rooms were small - but that is to be expected with these old buildings. It was clean and renovated. The breakfast was great - lots of choices and quite tasty. My only warning is that in order to get in the hotel, you need 3 keys and a code. The reception is located on the third floor - so you need to climb stairs, take a 3 person elevator to reach someone. The main wood doors close at night, so you will need a key. Not a big deal, but wish I knew that ahead of time. The location is on a quiet street near the river. It is about a 10 min walk to the main centre. Overall, good experience.

The hotel was centrally located on a quiet street and was clean, comfortable and I had all the amenities I needed in my room. They also kindly provided a breakfast to go as I had an early flight to catch. Access was challenging as the hotel is in a shared building with locked gates, and I would not have been able to get inside to check in had someone else not been leaving at the same time. Nice hotel. Bathroom had some mold on the ceiling but it was very clean. Was located within 8 minutes from train station but area was sketchy. Several homeless people close by. Room was nice but had weird layout with several steps in the room. Staff was excellent.

The floor of our room was very dusty. It had not been mopped in a long time. Front desk staff was not very helpful, when we asked questions, it felt like we were imposing. Breakfast was a big assortment of options!

El primer día nos dieron la habitación nº 6, tiene la ducha dentro de la habitación y huele a humedad, si llueve no se puede dormir por el ruido que hace el agua al caer en un conducto metálico. Los siguientes días nos cambiaron de habitación y fue todo perfecto.

Very friendly staff and helpful when asked about booking a morning tour with Ciao Firenze. Room was clean and good space. There was apparently an issue with the drainage impacting the entire building hence the issue with the odour along the corridor, but the room itself was nice and clean. We had to leave the hotel before 5am heading towards the airport and didn't manage to check out correctly without a staff at the front desk, but worked out fine since the payment was already taken. Overall, a good place to stay and thank you.

Very nice hotel close to the old city, easy walking distance to every thing. The breakfast was excellent. The front desk was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is on the third floor, great exercise to walk off the gelato climbing the stairs. There is an elevator as well. I would maybe pick a larger room next time just to have a little more space. Regardless the room was always cleaned, bed made and clean towels everyday.

I had a wonderful stay at Dedo for 6 nights while visiting my daughter during her study abroad. The hotel is less than 10 min walk from the Santa Maria train station a short walk to the main areas in Florence. I enjoyed a walk back by the river each night. The room was modern and clean with king size bed and spacious vanity area. I enjoyed a complimentary breakfast with delicious cappuccino each morning. The owners are extremely friendly and even helped me with my suitcase down the elevator, staircase to the sidewalk as i checked out the last day. Would highly recommend staying here!

Great location, closed to train station and most tourist attractions. The hotel staff was kind and the breakfast was excellent, good enough to start your day. The building was old but they manage to create a nice Boutique looking atmosphere. Room was good, but the shower was part of the bedroom and you have direct entrance from the bed but they have a curtains to cover the glass. Recommend

All of the desk attendants were incredibly hospitable and helpful, Laura and Ricardo especially. The room was clean and perfect for just one person staying on a short trip. There was an odd smell when you first walk into the room which didn’t linger but was always there when you first walked in. The breakfast spread in the morning was solid. The smell of croissants would creep into your room which was very enticing! The location was good and I was able to walk around very easily. I felt safe as the gates were locked by key and code. The only thing that could have been better but no one’s fault is that the walls are very thin so you must be very quiet at night. In the morning when the cleaners are cleaning it is also very loud, for example opening and closing doors, vacuuming with the door open. Otherwise this was a fantastic stay and I would happily stay there again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in April with wife and 12 year old son. Great location with friendly staff, good breakfast. Good size room with high ceilings .Great bed. Mattress was firm and comfortable, with quality bed sheets. Great working air conditioner! There is few flights of stairs up to get to the place, but there is a small elevator. We liked everything here. Would stay again if ever in Florence !

Liegt im 3 . Stock eines Wohnhauses. Das gebuchte Einzelzimmer ist recht klein und hst ein Fenster zu einem lichtschacht. Femster kann geöffnet werden, aber dann rauschen die Klimaanlagen und der Geruch draussen ist unangenehm. Positiv wR, dass ich bereits am Morgen das Zimmer beziehen konnte. Center ist fussläufig in 10 min gut erreichbar. Am besten immer direkt am Arno entlang. Frühstück war ok, es gibt jedoch kein Brot, nur Toast, mehr Auswahl wäre super. Bahnhof ist 10 min zu Fuss, ab dort fährt auch eine Strassenbahn in 25 min zum Flughafen, das ist sehr praktisch und günstig dazu. In der Nähe vom Hotel gibt es auch ein paar Restaurants oder Cafe bars, das ist praktisch und auch deutlich günstiger als im Zentrum.
Liegt im 3 . Stock eines Wohnhauses. Das gebuchte Einzelzimmer ist recht klein und hst ein Fenster zu einem lichtschacht. Femster kann geöffnet werden, aber dann rauschen die Klimaanlagen und der Geruch draussen ist unangenehm. Positiv wR, dass ich bereits am Morgen das Zimmer beziehen konnte. Center ist fussläufig in 10 min gut erreichbar. Am besten immer direkt am Arno entlang. Frühstück war ok, es gibt jedoch kein Brot, nur Toast, mehr Auswahl wäre super. Bahnhof ist 10 min zu Fuss, ab dort fährt auch eine Strassenbahn in 25 min zum Flughafen, das ist sehr praktisch und günstig dazu. In der Nähe vom Hotel gibt es auch ein paar Restaurants oder Cafe bars, das ist praktisch und auch deutlich günstiger als im Zentrum.

The breakfast was amazing. A lot of variety and very fresh. The room was cleaned daily. The staff was very friendly. The only thing is that the rooms are very small and the shower is literally in the room. But, most rooms in Europe, in centrally located hotels are very small so this we were expecting to be like that. The location of the hotel is amazing. In a few minutes you are close to major historical sites. Overall, we highly recommend it.

All of the desk attendants were incredibly hospitable and helpful, Laura and Ricardo especially. The room was clean and perfect for just one person staying on a short trip. There was an odd smell when you first walk into the room which didn’t linger but was always there when you first walked in. The breakfast spread in the morning was solid. The smell of croissants would creep into your room which was very enticing! The location was good and I was able to walk around very easily. I felt safe as the gates were locked by key and code. The only thing that could have been better but no one’s fault is that the walls are very thin so you must be very quiet at night. In the morning when the cleaners are cleaning it is also very loud, for example opening and closing doors, vacuuming with the door open. Otherwise this was a fantastic stay and I would happily stay there again.

The hotel was nice but it was not easy to find! You have to go up an elevator to get to it which would have been nice to know before. Also, once you get upstairs all the rooms are on different levels so you have to carry your bags up or down a few stairs. Hotel staff were very friendly and offered to help carry the bags.

Very hard to find and in sketchy area. We asked for a wine tour. The front desk girl signed us up for a guided Spanish tour that only had one winery. Then, there was a small underpayment by the tour company. This became a constant issue and we felt this cost should have not been charged because they arranged a tour (12 hours) that did not meet our needs. Breakfast was very mediocre too.

Fantastic place to stay. Very convenient for the station. Very helpful and friendly staff especially Ricardo. Definitely take your keys out with you as we had a long wait at the front door for the bell to be answered.

I had a wonderful stay at Dedo for 6 nights while visiting my daughter during her study abroad. The hotel is less than 10 min walk from the Santa Maria train station a short walk to the main areas in Florence. I enjoyed a walk back by the river each night. The room was modern and clean with king size bed and spacious vanity area. I enjoyed a complimentary breakfast with delicious cappuccino each morning. The owners are extremely friendly and even helped me with my suitcase down the elevator, staircase to the sidewalk as i checked out the last day. Would highly recommend staying here!

They also kindly provided a breakfast to go as I had an early flight to catch. Really the only thing we didn't love was that the walk from the train station was - well, you know what the areas around train stations are like, and this was like that, especially as we arrived at night, in the rain. The hotel itself was a great choice - clean and comfortable and a little bit outside the area that's noisy and crowded with visitors to the historic center of Florence. Many thanks to the person at the desk who welcomed us and wrote down the names of good restaurants to try for a late dinner.

Very nice hotel close to the old city, easy walking distance to every thing. The breakfast was excellent. The front desk was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is on the third floor, great exercise to walk off the gelato climbing the stairs. There is an elevator as well. I would maybe pick a larger room next time just to have a little more space. Regardless the room was always cleaned, bed made and clean towels everyday.

Overall the hotel was nice for a small boutique hotel. The rooms were small - but that is to be expected with these old buildings. It was clean and renovated. The breakfast was great - lots of choices and quite tasty. My only warning is that in order to get in the hotel, you need 3 keys and a code. The reception is located on the third floor - so you need to climb stairs, take a 3 person elevator to reach someone. The main wood doors close at night, so you will need a key. Not a big deal, but wish I knew that ahead of time. The location is on a quiet street near the river. It is about a 10 min walk to the main centre. Overall, good experience.

Great location, closed to train station and most tourist attractions. The hotel staff was kind and the breakfast was excellent, good enough to start your day. The building was old but they manage to create a nice Boutique looking atmosphere. Room was good, but the shower was part of the bedroom and you have direct entrance from the bed but they have a curtains to cover the glass. Recommend

Nice boutique hotel that about 15mins walk from The train station. Rooms are spacious and clean with all the typical amenities. Breakfast on the 1st day was good but not n the 2nd day, staff was scrambling to fix the coffee machine and bring out the scrambled eggs and sausages. No delicious bacon was served on the 2nd day. Everyone was nice except for old guy manning the reception in the afternoon who was a bit uptight.

Our experience at the hotel was amazing. Everything was great! The hotel is located 15 minutes walking from the museums and Ponte Vecchio. The staff was very friendly. Room has a stunning view and was cleaned every day. And breakfast was more than expected with gluten free options and lots of variety. The hotel was lovely - clean, modern and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is situated conveniently about a 7 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. The breakfast was good and had a nice selection. The hotel is located on the third floor of a building however, which we hadn’t realised, so there are quite a few steps up to it after a long day exploring. There is a lift, however it’s very small and old and can only accommodate two people at a time. All a bit faffy and we prefer just being able to come and go more easily. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again on our next trip.
