W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills

All restaurants were closed. Although the pool was open, the area around pool was under serious construction. Breakfast conducted of a tray of pastries and coffee and hot tea. Location is great and valet was excellent. Our room was not ready at check in time.

Good place, however the parking fee is too expensive

Room was spacious, large high quality sofa, tv was good and easy to add and delete streaming log in. Living room bar is quite nice with excellent drinks and service.

The hotel was fantastic. The staff was so kind and always willing to help or offer assistance. We use the valet parking 1 day and would recommend that if you're renting a car. The pool area was beautiful and clean. Every day our room was cleaned, bed made, etc. I used the gym two days and it was spotless! Overall, a great stay!

There was no restaurant or bar service due to renovations and that was not included in the Expedia profile.

The hotel staff are amazing!!! We were just surprised at the type of music played at the pool when we arrived ( hard rap with bad words) which we mentioned later that day and was not an issue again ❤️ But also that anyone could come on the property and hang out at the pool or restaurant. The crowd vibe was different then I expected but overall we had a great stay , my daughter is going to UCLA and lives 2 mins from the hotel so the location was awesome. Food and drinks were great 😎

The only issue is the building’s infrastructure. It looks like an old DMV building converted to a hotel. A lot of scented airflow and shiny objects in the lobby can’t hide outdated elevators snd construction. Location is A . Room is B but building is D-. Time for a tear down remodel.

The customer service was the best!! Richard was so kind and made us feel so welcomed when we checked in after a very long travel day (4.5 hour flight delay). Room was so nice and clean. Work out room was awesome! Highly recommend and will definitely stay next time we’re in LA. Thank you to the staff at the W!!

Nice hotel, clean, staff very polite. Only disappointment was that the bathroom was very small , the toilet to close to the tub.

We found a cockroach in the bathroom the moment we walked into our room and there were also dirty towels in the bathroom that they had forgot to remove before we checked in. And, they didn't honour our Expedia VIP status and charged us $50/night ($300 in total) for the upgrade.

Our stay at the W Los Angeles West Beverly Hills was perfect from the moment we stepped foot in. We felt so welcomed! It was clean, quiet, peaceful with just enough swing to it! Our room was immaculate! Coffee and tea in the morning, cucumber lemon water available at the front, so refreshing after shopping or taking a walk! Super safe area, convenient shopping near by! So close to just about everything!

This was my second stay in 2 months. Hotel is old and outdated. Rooms are in poor condition - beds uncomfortable, pillows just awful, walls dirty and scuffed, bathrooms from the 1980s. Our room wasn't ready at 4 pm... we were given an accessible room which had the worst shower I have ever seen. Water went everywhere, and I do mean everywhere. That must have happened many times before, based on the terrible condition of the bathroom. I would never stay here if it weren't close to UCLA.

Cockroach. Musty smell. It’s not ok.

Excellent quiet location near Westwood village. The only thing we didn’t like was the linen sheets or pillows sweat smell. Also, one of the bellmen upon checking out on the floor was a bit loud and rude and wasn’t professional.

Absolutely loved our stay at the W. Our one bedroom suite was spacious and the beds soooo comfortable. Gorgeous neighborhood too. Easy to walk from hotel to shops and dining options. Only negative was cost of valet parking but there was a cheaper parking building just down the street - saved a tonne by parking 5 mins away.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel when I was in town. The location is great, and the staff are all very nice. The only feedback I have is that the tv was placed to the side of the bed, so it was a bit challenging to see. Also, the bathroom has sliding doors that require some effort to close all the way, plus there is a small gap. Otherwise, great hotel!

Disappointing. Room was poorly lit and reminded me of my first poorly decorated apartment - cheap decor, outdated, and just a bit danky for the price.

Disappointing stay for what you pay. I called ahead to book an extra bed/cot because we were 3 people staying in the suite. When we arrived, there was no extra bed. We decided to share beds instead. I received a charge per night for the bed that never arrived. They remembered to charge me for the service, but they did not remember to actually provide the service. I did not realize until I got home because the invoice they emailed me the morning of checkout said zero charges so I used the express checkout. When I arrived home, I saw I had a charge on my card and a new invoice. The room was cold. We tried to change the thermostat and it didn’t make the suite any warmer. There were 2 robes and 2 water bottles for 3 in the room (yes, we indicated there would be 3 guests when we booked) and only 1 of the 2 beds had a duvet. Service in the lounge was so slow we went to the poolside restaurant to get some food. The server told us they didn’t have a busser and they were slammed and that we could get food in the lounge. She said “I won’t hate you if you sit here”. So back to the lounge we went. We waited quite a while for service and when the bartender came to drop off menus she asked if we were ready to order. You just dropped off the menus so how would we know what we want yet? The staff fixed the charges and brought up the extra blanket and robe we needed after I called, but I would expect these things to be taken care of for the price and reputation of this hotel chain.

The lobby of the hotel was nice, with good decor, art, and had a restaurant. I booked a studio king bedroom. It was a large room but very basic. The room is in need of an upgrade. Old tub and shower combo and sink had no room for toiletries. I was on the 5th floor and the noise of music was non-stop all night. I believe from the hotel itself. Luckily my wife and I had ear plugs as we needed them both nights we stayed.

Staff was great! Location was perfect. The rooms could use some new furniture though. Other than that no complaints.

It was a terrible experience as not expected from the W chain. The room quality was bad, no blackouts and room were always light since 7am. No coffee machines and water. Rooms are very noisy and old furnished.

Room was fine, but faced Santa Monica Boulevard and was a bit noisy. A prior occupant used ribbon to take something to the window, and remnants of the ribbon were still taped to the window. Based on hotel floor plan, it appears that the rooms available through Hotels.com were the smallest and least desirable. Ours was low and faced the street, rather than the quieter pool side of the hotel. Breakfast and lunch options were limited, and significantly more expensive than similar meals at neighboring restaurants. Staff were quite friendly and the room price was quite reasonable.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE... and I travel every two weeks! We stayed @ the W because it was to the UCLA campus (I've also stayed once before at this location years ago). We were walking to extreme noise in the middle of the night. Apparently there was a 10 person party in the room next to us. We had called over four times to complain they sent security up. Nothing changed. I had a six-year-old staying with us we had an early flight we were all up all night at 1 AM when we called the front desk they said there was nothing they could do that they are paying gas just as we are. My fiancé went downstairs to complain and they ended up kicking us out. They said if we didn't leave, they would call the police that they encourage guest to party because it's a W hotel and that's what they're known for. That what they do in their room is there a business just as what we do with our business. I totally understand that however, it's not just their business when it's interfering with others!!! They kicked me, my fiancé, and my daughter out at 2 AM all for complaining about a party in the room next to us. I've never in my life experienced anything like this they wouldn't even let me go back in the room to open up the safe to get my wallet and belongings out. The staff was smug and extremely rude and unprofessional being displaced at 2am trying to find another hotel even when we had an early flight.. WHILE THE PARTY CONTINUED!!! . It's a party dump ran by unprofessionals

We love all the staff, from the valley parking guys, the concierge, the night auditors, house keepers and the front desk. Very welcoming, accommodating & considerate. When my wheelchair rental didn’t show up, the front desk went above and beyond asked their manager’s permission to lend me the wheelchair, just for few hours so I can attend my daughter’s play in UCLA. I was so glad she helped me, I was supposed to regret not staying in Palomar Hotel, cause that’s my other favorite hotel cause they always allow me to borrow their wheelchair whenever I attend my daughter’s event in UCLA. So glad that W Hotel did the same thing for me. Even though that one night manager on duty on 5/24, was not happy that I took the wheelchair outside premise despite telling him the situation & that we had the blessings from those wonderful managers that were on duty in the morning & afternoon. Now because of this I might reconsider going back to Palomar or other hotels nearby.

I stay here a lot and once again an amazing stay. Room was perfect, it’s always clean, and smells amazing. Valet is amazing car is brought up very fast. Very modern and up to date. Only reason not for 5 stars was I was told I had to wait for a room after check in time which didn’t seem fair but the issue was taken care of and a room was provided for me with no issue. If I was you I’d stay here with no hesitation!

Staff was pleasant, helpful and attentive. Kudos particularly to the valets who were all very hard working.

Perfect location for a visit to UCLA and Westwood. We walked to campus a few times and it was very easy. On the other side you have access to Beverly Hills. The staff was great and attended to our needs.

Bar and restaurant closed for renovation and was not informed in advance. Was told that it was on their website and they didn’t have to inform me cause I booked through Expedia. Manager was rude and dismissive.

The entire staff was absolutely marvelous, approachable, kind and ready to assist. Brewer and Katherine at check-in, Yolanda and Sandra room service all were amazing and provided the best customer service and made us all feel at home! My son loved you all. Seriously THAT good! Thank you, #709 😊

1. The staffs not very tentative to our needs, gave poor instructions to room. We were looking for 16th floor and the elevator only has15 floors. 2. The lights in the room very dim and some lights didn’t even work. 3. The TV connection was not stable and hang at times. 4. The water pressure sometimes passable and often weak. 5. We stayed for 4 nights and only got 2 bottles of water the first day. It was not refill on daily cleaning. 6. The coffee was bad. Overall, I expected more from W hotel.

Close to UCLA campus

The hotel is well situated in a lovely residential area.. I run and used opportunity for a 6mile dash through the west Beverly and then down Santa Monica Blvd and through rodeo drive and then back.. the sight were great and the hills challenging.. the hotel is lovely with a nice outdoor dining space and pool, if the weather was warmer would have been great to relax and catch some sun rays.

Beautiful hotel with great location. It was very easy to get around the city from this location. Safe neighbourhood and quite a few options for eating out. Amazing staff!

Super nice area. Very close to UCLA, which is our main destination at the time we book.

Really great hotel and prime location if you’re visiting UCLA, or want to be slightly outside Beverly Hills. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the vibe around the pool area is great. The food options at the hotel are okay, and the room’s ventilation dried the air slightly. Outside of that, it’s a solid option, with plenty to do around.

I recently stayed at the W hotel while my soon to be wife had her bridal shower party at STK. We were treated with the greatest hospitality by the manager Darren and his excellent staff. Darren recommended the braised short rib plate, and it was absolutely fantastic. My experience was beyond a 5 star review.

Honestly once again treated like royalty we stayed in the big suite before going to get married the staff was so lovely and super excited for us they sent us a beautiful bottle of champagne to celebrate along with a hand written note. It’s the little things! The room was pristine cleaning was impeccable and STK is delicious. I recommend this hotel it is close to everything and very safe nice neighborhood. Thank you W for another wonderful stay.
