Hartford Marriott Downtown

Breakfast was excellent. Mo who was working his second day and Christine took great care of us. We are big coffee drinkers and we never had to ask for refills. They anticipated everything. Gretchen at the front desk is an exceptional welcoming person to your establishment. She went above and beyond to make everything comfortable for us. We had a challenging morning and from the time we walked in to check in, Gretchen had us relaxed and ready to start our weekend away.

Right from checking in the staff was great! Our room was clean and very comfortable!

This property was very clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay at this hotel.

The night staff here were not friendly upon arrival and when I brought up an issue I had in my room with the water not getting hot for my shower and with the bathroom floor being filthy. I got the response that “well the whole hotel is dealing with the showers not getting hot right now. You can change rooms but it’s not gonna get warmer” instead of giving me the shower disclaimer when I checked in or trying to accommodate me in a respectful manner, I received an attitude and a downgraded room. Outdated hotel, moody staff, unclean rooms - not my type of hotel!

Staff was fabulous, only thing I was unhappy with was that we couldn’t get hot water in the shower. I’m not sure if it’s the cold weather and being on the 17th floor, however it never got over lukewarm in the shower and the sink was always straight up cold.
