The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay however it did not impact us in any major way. I heard some noise while outside but nothing inside. The property felt "tired". I would give it another look once the renovations have been completed.

This hotel has one small elevator for a 2 story building, which wasn’t working well at all. We feel it is a fire hazard for 2 floors to evacuate through 2 small stairwells at either end of the building. Also we might have read the description incorrectly, but we were surprised that there wasn’t even coffee available without paying for it.

This hotel was super clean and well maintained. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the linens were fresh and the room smelled wonderful when we arrived. Kathy at the front desk was super helpful during our stay and especially during checkout. She is a great employee that represents this hotel extremely well.

The staff at the food counter was AMAZING. The lady at the check-in counter was kind and efficient. We sty at Marriotts all the time on our couple get away weekend, and usually are very pleased withh the room adn amenities. This time however we were very displeased with the room. The air barely worked, the fridge would not stay shut, there was a dot what appeared to be blood on the bedsheet, there was no conditioner in the shower( we love the shampoo and conditioner at the other hotels), the couch had something yellow on it, and the window had a white substance stuck on it. Sadly, we will probably look at another hotel company for our next getaway this fall. For several years we have been using Marriott hotels for our getway every season.

So I checked into this hotel for a little peace and to watch a movie and enjoy a night off in mountains. Before booking the hotel, I called the property if the tv has streaming like netflix on it. I was in room 039 and the tv didnt work. A lady came from the front desk to come fix it and they said someone will call me from the frontdesk to see whats next. I wait 2 hours and then I left the property angry at them. I checked in around 10:30 pm and left the property around 1am

I love the hotel, location and service is great! unfortunately it was fully booked due to a wedding so was assigned to a room next to the elevator and entrance door which was not ideal because it was very noisy

It was a pretty good stay, a body pillow would’ve made the stay better. Shower pressure was a little low and a hand held shower head would help with the low pressure so you could get the soap off better. It is nice having the complimentary bath supplies. $6 for a bottle of water is a little steep so I didn’t partake of it. I like fancy water but that was a little excessive. I will stay again if needed in Charlottesville it’s a good location and feels pretty safe with the lighting at night.

Check in was great - The front desk was very warm and welcoming. The room was pretty basic but clean. I recommend being on the top floor because I was on the first floor, and I could hear the water running through the pipes whenever the room above me took a shower.

Pet rate for one night is $100 so the cost of the room skyrocketed. Water was barely hot enough. Refrigerator in room was noisy. A water bottle was nearly $7. Most places provide feee water. The heat did not go on until you dialed in 3 degrees warmer and then it went to cold air when it reached the set temperature. Bed was good.

I was very pleased with the Handicapped Room. Spacious room and easy to maneuver bathroom. Staff was accommodating to get me the room even though not requested through Expedia. I had come in from Manhattan in the evening where I had stayed at the Marriott Fairfield in mid-town. Breakfast was included there. I was surprised that breakfast was not included in the Charlottesville Courtyard, especially since the property was being renovated and not all rooms were easily available.

The associates were very friendly and helpful! We arrived early and still checked in immediately! The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was so relaxing and just down the hall. At the end of the night it was wonderful to relax at the Bistro lounge.
