The property was accessible to nearby restaurants, art centers & convention centers. This location is near the airport so there are passing planes outside but you barely hear them inside the hotel. The local trolly passes by but again you can barely hear it. The AC works phenomenally along with heat. There's a bar and breakfast daily. Great stay

Front desk staff was lovely and checkin was quick and easy. Getting into the parking area was confusing, but once we figured it out, we felt very comfortable parking in the garage. Our room definitely needed dusting and vacuuming done in corners and along the edges. The bathroom needs a fresh coat of paint because you could see that something was thinly painted over. The sink was odd because the faucet didn’t come out far enough from the back of the sink and it was difficult to rinse hands. The shower pressure was very strong, but the tub filled with water while showering due to slow drainage. The bed were comfortable and pillows were perfect. My biggest complaint is how noisy our room was. We could hear everything happening on the street and everything happening in the hallway.

The place is small so less traffic compare to big hotels. Good breakfast. Clean property. Very cozy and friendly staff. Property needs maintenance. We got a room with loud AC, we were moved to a room with clogged bathtub, clogged sink. Shower knob is rusted, so hard to pull up. One of the bed is worn out, when you seat on it, it really curves so much and I’m only 120 lbs. Key cards that doesn’t work, we had to go back and forth more than 3 times a day, depending on how many times we go in and out the room. Access to garage doesn’t work, had to go back and forth from garage to front desk. Too much inconvenience for 4 days and 3 nights. Housekeeping kept the room clean and in order but the bathroom I don’t think it’s cleaned everyday. Toiletries are not refilled properly. Parking fee is crazy $45 per night. It should be free for guests. Thank you to Mary, Armando, Erika and Veronica, at least they’re easy to approach, friendly and helpful, to the best of their abilities and capabilities.

The price was good considering Galaxy Con was across the street. Excellent hot breakfast with protein options. Clean, helpful staff, and convenient to theaters, light rail, and the convention center. Only cons were broken pocket door to bathroom, broken closet door, and hard beds.

The hotel was ok. The restaurant was closed down the first day we got there which was disappointing because after a long day of travel we had to go out & find something to eat. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Place. The location was central, the rooms were clean and big, the secured garage was a big plus as well as having a complimentary breakfast. If I had anything negative to say was that my room was on the third floor facing San Carlos Street; this is a busy street, one that has the light rail on it. It was very noisy, and the light rail seemed to run all day and into the evening.

Perfect for a stay if needing to be walkable to SAP Arena. Great breakfast and bar, offering cocktails and beer. However if you're looking for a quiet relaxing hotel, it's probably not going to meet your expectations. It was loud. Between the VTA light rail and what seems like thin walls and windows it was a challenge to get a good night sleep. Bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear your neighbors.

Stayed here for the location and was impressed with most everything. The staff was friendly and helpful upon check in and with our requests for extra blankets. Hotel was very clean and parking felt safe and easy to get between garage to hotel. The included breakfast was impressive with many options. The only downside was that we found the beds to be uncomfortable. Everything else was great!

When I arrived for the pre-paid stay (guaranteeing the room and not allowing me to cancel for any reason) at 4pm, I was told by front desk staff that he had "bad news for me". The hotel had overbooked, and the two double-bed room was unavailable; I could either take a king bed or cancel the reservation. As there were four of us (incl. two teenagers), there was no way a single large bed was going to work. Then the reservation desk told me that the problem wouldn't have happened if I booked direct instead of through Expedia and they couldn't tell me about the problem since they didn't have my information. Which was strange as the hotel managed to send me three messages before my arrival describing hotel features and one in the past 24 hours (all through Expedia) asking how my stay was. Now Hyatt is making me fight for my money back (again, because it was pre-paid not like a typical cancellation) due to their terrible booking system and crappy communication. Though I've stayed at this property before, I will not go back.

the property was great!!!! and the staff was amazing!!! Albert was amazing from the time we checked in till the time we left, our son is autistic and loved Albert and he was great with him. He went above and beyond for all of us. Because of him we will be back for the Galaxy con 2026.

Check in was awful. Even though I made a reservation and paid they canceled my room because they were full. They said because I booked with a third party they were full and needed to Hyatt members rooms first. After begging he made me a member of Hyatt and then gave me a room. I mistakenly left a bag in my room and the front desk and housekeeping was exceptionally helpful in packing it securely and having it sent next day delivery to my next destination. Breakfast buffet was top notch! It wasn't obvious where we were supposed to pull in to get to the lobby. On Saturday night, the property itself had cars parked along the entire lobby area that never seemed to move, making dropoff difficult. Parking in the area was expensive and hard to access. Area parking lots changed prices daily and often didn't provide and upfront idea how long you were allowed to stay. (I'm talking to you Woz lot!)

My daughter and I stayed one night for a concert. All of the staff were extremely nice. Housekeeping staff gets extra kudos for having exceptionally clean rooms and each staff member said hi when we walked by. Best service ever. Complementary breakfast was very good. Lots of options eggs, potatoes, bacon, toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, donuts, juice, coffee and tea options! Dinner was a 10 min walk to downtown and SAP center was 15 to 20. Would definitely stay here again!

4.75 stars! My only qualms was that Im pretty sure our bed was broken, but everything else was wonderful. When we checked in, I mentioned that we we had a 7 month old baby with us and the front desk clerk asked if we'd like a corner room instead away from the elevators so we could avoid extra noise. While Im sure other guests appreciated it too, it made our stay so much more peaceful and our daughter slept great because it was more secluded. The breakfast was great, everything was clean ,shower had great water pressure. The bed was comfy too, but it creaked and sagged a little in the middle like one of the support boards were broken. Overall though, it was really good!

Great location in the heart of downtown San Jose, walking distance to SJSU, pretty good hot and cold foods for complimentary breakfast. The room was spacious with our 2 queens and sofa, and the beds were very comfortable. Our car too felt safe overnight in a parking lot that has a closed sliding gate. Definitely would stay here again when I visit the area.

We got in late and turned on the TV hoping for a little background noise while we wound down, but there was only a blank screen. We tried everything we could think of and then called down to the front desk. We were given a few suggestions, which we’d already tried, and no luck. The clerk said that there were no engineers on-site because of the hour, so he comped us our $45 parking fee and said he’d have the manager get in touch with us. The gesture was much appreciated!
