I wasn’t expecting much when I booked here given it’s mainly a hostel but booked a private room first stay with en suite second without. Now the first room had a private balcony which was great was quiet - was basic but likewise had air con and a big fridge and a TV and was safe and secure - which was a big plus the property is split into multiple floors with stairs/ lift with 5 or 6 rooms per Floor it seemed. There was on the floor I was one male and one female bathrooms inside contained a shower cubicle and a toilet cubicle there was a sink also but I had this i my room. Apartment and shared facilities very clean and surprisingly quiet,did not have issues getting a Shower or with noise - This is in a busy neighbourhood in the middle of an Asian district with bustling shops, streets and amazing food - some mentioned they didn’t feel safe -personally even late at night this didn’t bother me and didn’t feel unsafe likened to any other Chinatown district in Uk. The staff really made this place - Kind, genuine, helpful had my room ready early were extremely welcoming - if you need basic accommodation at a safe and decent clean place with great staff would highly recommend.

Værelset var i end ringere stand end man kunne se på billederne. Men efter at have pakket ud, så fik det lidt mere sjæl. Delt badeværelset og toilet er delt op i mænd og kvinder og var fint/rent. Personalet i receptionen er venlige, smilende og hjælpsomme. Der var en stor altan, som godt kunne have brugt en mere kærlig hånd - i hvert fald i det mindste et askebæger. Placeringen er dejlig tæt på alt (5 min) men lidt i den skumle/ghetto ende af byen.

I find staying in this property convenient for short stays and to explore the major attractions of Athens. However, the property lack some basic equipments like the fridge for hostel/hotel stays which is beneficial for tourists walking around Athens on a hot day. La via dove si trova l'albergo sembra di essere a Karachi (non ho parole). Aspetto positivo a 400 m zona con molti locali bellissimi, il problema arrivarci. Molto scadente come struttura, non isolato, molto rumoroso, ascensore senza porta interna, pericolosissimo. Ogni mattina 7.15 iniziavano lavori di ristrutturazione bagni, martelli pneumatici che facevano tremare il letto.

We arrived late and they were friendly on doing the check in at that hour. But so many thing were wrong. The elevator didn't have door, so you go up and down without a door. The location of the hotel is really dangerous and unsafe. The cab that came to pick us told us to hurry up because it's an area where people is always stealed. I wont recommend to go here, pay more and go to a better location.

Alugamos o hotel para apenas servir de apoio durante uma tarde enquanto nos arrumávamos para o vôo na madrugada. Não dormimos e quase nao ficamos no hotel. Mas o pouco tempo que ficamos percebemos um ambiente muito estranho na entrada e corredores dos quartos. Percebemos algumas pessoas com aparencias estranhas entrando e saindo do hotel, no nosso andar havia um amontoado de lixo no chão, que algum tempo depois foi recolhido, ficando uma latinha de cerveja no chão. Percebemos uma trocas de pessoas entre os quartos. Definitivamente não é um lugar familiar. O ar condicionado do quarto não gelou direito enquanto estávamos lá. O banheiro é bem simples e com cortina. Fica numa rua comercial, e a noite é bem estranha devido ao comercio fechado. Meio inseguro, apesar de não nos ter acontecido nada. O atendimento da recepção foi ótimo e rápido.

Stayed for a week - had a bedbug issue and developed over 20 bites over the course that stay. Was told by someone who stays here once in a while that it is not an uncommon issue. After telling front desk, I was informed that the best they could do was to change my sheets, but it did not happen. The turnover rate is high and would not recommend the mixed dorm room for solo female travelers unless you are relatively comfortable with multiple male roommates. A lot of people stay for one or two nights then leave. Upon arrival, the air-conditioning was also not functioning, but they tried to fix it within a few days. Luckily it was not the peak of summer but was still quite warm and stuffy. Soundproofing is virtually non-existent: expect to be able to hear others taking calls from the next-door room. The showerhead is also a bit problematic but it's an easy fix. Bring a lock for the locker and your own towel. Overall, decent place for bare necessities of staying the night and showering. Staff did try their best to help me and were helpful and friendly. The place is quite old - operating since 1960s, so breakdowns are to be expected but I had a brief conversation with the owner who helped me resolve an issue at night, he was helpful and engaging. Conclusion: Would not recommend except for extreme budgeting and bare necessities of a bed shower.

We found bed bugs in the room. There was no sound isolation so you could hear everything from several floors. The room was dirty - the bedding had holes and spots on it, and the walls had feces from bed bugs and other mysterious dirt on them.

Room was dirty, WiFi was very poor , bathroom disgusting, boogers on the walls . Sheet was dirty and stained. The view looks very abandoned on the balcony , lobby smells like cigarettes. I have more than 13 pictures about this terrible “hotel”

Hostal was close to centre, about 10-15 walking. The reception area smelled horrible all the ten days we were there. We found about 3 roaches in our room, my daughter end up with bed bugs on her, we had to wait for 20 mins for hot water, and WiFi didn’t work, it work for 10 percent of the time we were there. We mostly relied on the hop on bus WiFi or the restaurant to communicate. Not worth it, there are others places around in a much better condition. Oh and the towels had stains on it “disgusting” we asked for new ones and they said we had to wait for 3 days to get towels changed

Place should not be allowed to operate. Hotel is riddled in bed bugs. Staff are completely aware and don’t care. We asked to change rooms and the second room had more bed bugs. We arrived late so ended at walking around Athens at 4am to try find another hotel so that we didn’t spread the infestation. Complete health and safety risk. DO NOT BOOK. READ THE REVIEWS FIRST. Refused a refund.

I was delighted with my room with a view with private balcony and bathroom and fridge for a excellent price. The staff were very nice and helpful at any hour. The location was incredibly convenient and central. I will definitely stay here again

The property is very old and out of date. The toilet was not secured, the shower head could not stay in the cradle because it was broke, the floor flooded when it was hanging down. It was so bad, i left after 1 night. Loud talking in the hallways in the early morning hours (2am).

First hostel we’ve ever stayed in. Got the private room and it was so worth it! Had AC, sink in the bedroom, 2 bed, even a balcony! Amazing room to arrive to after traveling all day. Staff were so friendly and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. great price as well (:

Ich sag mal so, es war wenigstens sauber, aber alles andere war gruselig. Das Zimmer ist gerade mal so groß wie das Doppelbett und hatte eine traurige Aussicht auf einen schmalen Lichtschacht im Innenhof. Das Bad ist zweckmäßig und sauber aber schon sehr herunter gekommen. Die Lautstärke im ganzen Hotel ist enorm, das geht schon bei der Fahrstuhltür los. Ach ja, der Fahrstuhl ist auch sehr abenteuerlich, aber er hat an unseren 2 Tagen durchgehalten. Einen längeren Aufenthalt kann ich leider nicht empfehlen.

L'accueil à l'hôtel se fait 24h/24 ce qui est très pratique et le personnel est très aidant et amical. Toutefois, l'hôtel est situé dans une rue jonchée d'ordures et d'odeurs d'urine. Dans la chambre, la clim n'a jamais semblé fonctionner d'où une chaleur douloureuse en plein été ; impossible de dormir et ne comptez pas ouvrir les vitres car il y une boite de nuit en-dessous. La chambre est spacieuse pour une famille de 4 avec un super balcon, une belle salle d'eau avec serviettes de toilettes fournies mais très sale (draps tachés de sang, cafards, poux à traiter dès notre retour).

Værelset var i end ringere stand end man kunne se på billederne. Men efter at have pakket ud, så fik det lidt mere sjæl. Delt badeværelset og toilet er delt op i mænd og kvinder og var fint/rent. Personalet i receptionen er venlige, smilende og hjælpsomme. Der var en stor altan, som godt kunne have brugt en mere kærlig hånd - i hvert fald i det mindste et askebæger. Placeringen er dejlig tæt på alt (5 min) men lidt i den skumle/ghetto ende af byen.

If you are travelling in a budget you will not do better then the Sparta Team Hotel. Location is fantastic, Psiri is just a few minutes walk away at the end of the road, and is a fantastic place for eating and drinking options. Omonia Square and the subway are five minutes walk away. You can walk everywhere from this hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in a great urban location.

The hostel itself is fine, if a bit rundown. The staff was friendly and is onsite 24/7. The main problem is the location. It’s in little Pakistan with graffiti on every building. There was a big fight out on the street the night we stayed. Incredibly noisy. Would only recommend for a one night quicj stay, but even that just pay $5 to stay somewhere a little nicer and more safe.

Gentile Sparta Hotel. Scrivo in merito al mio recente soggiorno di due notti presso il vostro hotel, con colazione inclusa. Purtroppo, ho vissuto un’esperienza di trattamento ingiusto durante il servizio colazione. Il primo giorno sono scesa a fare colazione alle 9:30, ma la receptionist mi ha detto che era già terminata. Il secondo giorno sono scesa alle 6:00 del mattino perché dovevo partire presto per l’aeroporto. Ho chiesto se fosse possibile fare colazione prima di partire, ma mi è stato detto che la colazione inizia solo alle 8:00. Un altro ospite, che stava aspettando il taxi insieme a noi, ha avuto lo stesso problema. Tuttavia, mentre eravamo in attesa, un terzo ospite – senza chiedere nulla alla reception – è entrato direttamente nella sala colazione alle 6:00. Tutto era già pronto (caffè, succo, ecc.) e ha potuto fare colazione senza problemi. L’unica differenza è che quell’ospite era greco, mentre noi (io e mio marito) siamo italiani, e l’altro ospite era cinese. Questa situazione ci ha fatto sentire discriminati. Abbiamo pagato per la colazione inclusa, ma ci è stato negato l’accesso, mentre a un altro ospite è stato permesso solo per la sua nazionalità. For a 1 star hotel I am extremely impressed!! Shared bathroom was cleaned several times per day. Rooms were very clean, staff were helpful and very polite. The only small negative was I paid for 2x single beds but there were none available when I arrive so I had to share with a friend. Luckily the shared bed was a very large double with plenty of space so it worked out well.

Os arredores da acomadação não são convidativos e estranhos durante a noite, nos sentimos inseguros, pois chegamos bem tarde por conta do nosso voo. O hostel não é incrível, mas acho que vale se você for passar apenas uma noite, como nós. Havia muito barulho pela manhã, desde as 06h, tanto nos quartos vizinhos, quanto nas áreas comuns do andar do nosso quarto, nos incomodou bastante.

Ett enkelt hotellrum som hade det man behövde. Helt okay sängar, även om jag och resesällskapet mäter nästan 2 m Speglarna sitter dock i maghöjd, men det var bara roliga detaljer. Omöjligt att ställa in ac:n, så vi hade väldigt svala nätter. Synd att ett så trevligt hotellet ligger i ett inte lika trevlig område. Inget för den som vill vara ute trygg om kvällarna.

We arrived late and they were friendly on doing the check in at that hour. But so many thing were wrong. The elevator didn't have door, so you go up and down without a door. The location of the hotel is really dangerous and unsafe. The cab that came to pick us told us to hurry up because it's an area where people is always stealed. I wont recommend to go here, pay more and go to a better location.

Einfaches Hostel. Leider recht hellhörig. Leider mit Bettwanzen. Hab das auch von anderen Gästen gehört. Schade. Netten hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption. Direkte Nachbarschaft nicht so toll, aber nah zum Omonia Platz und Ausgehviertel Psirri. Viele Möglichkeiten für Frühstück in der Nähe.

Alles war ok, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Kritikpunkt war das Frühstück und der Kaffee. Die Bezeichnung- Frühstücks-Büffet war total irreführend, es war weder ein Büffet noch ... und der Kaffee war mehr als miserabel.

The area around the hotel is dirty and the hotel itself cannot be called clean. They may be cleaning it, but the facility is so old that it doesn't look clean. Not a very nice neighborhood, but felt safe even at 2 a.m. Police car always at the street corner. The streets are dirty and the smell is changing at the first corner, you know you're getting closer! The elevator for the 7 floors has no second safety door, but runs properly. Rooms are small, clean, card to open, no view to the inner court, small old windows. Staff very nice, ladies always smiling and helpful. Price and Air conditioner are the plusses!
