City Express by Marriott Mexicali

The hotel is centrally located for my needs with restaurants, stores, park close by and close to my family homes, 24 hours security, helpful and friendly staff, breakfast area is nice and clean, food is good, bedding and towels are clean. Overall, nice clean and secure hotel.

Ice machine broken, lobby bathrooms needed attention

good location, small but acceptable size of rooms; but I cannot accept is that there is no covered parking (carport)... I have a CADILLAC and cannot leave it in the sun with 100 degrees of heat destroying my seats, paint and dash. Unfortunately I cannot stay there again until you install sufficient number of covered parking stalls.

Clean rooms, great parking, great breakfast and great customer service.

The vending machines did not have water alone and the ice machine did not work, also the water tank in the dining area did not have water available on Tuesday night. The rest was very good.

City Express Mexicali was very clean pulling into the main entrance. Security was present and didn’t bother to greet or open doors. Walked in and was greeted by male receptionist who proceeded to check us in. They gave a brief explanation of the layout and what time was breakfast and check out time and we were on our way to our room in the second floor. Elevators were nice and clean and like the fact you have to use your card to unlock the elevator for it to move and go to the second floor. On exiting elevator hallways looked clean and proceeded to our room. Upon entering room we were surprised by cleanliness and it was very organized also room temperature was very good and mini split was working perfectly. Our all around experience was a 4 out of 5 only thing that was exasperating was showering and water trying to flow out of the shower towards the actual room. I’m assuming they know about this since they lay about 3 towels on the floor to try and keep the water inside the shower. But the towels fail miserably since they didn’t leave the shower tiles at a slight grade to keep the water from exiting. But all the way around it was a great hotel stay, staff was helpful and courteous to any needs and room was great to sleep in. Very quiet and clean also great variety of shows on their tv to keep you entertained. WiFi worked perfectly also with no lag or interruptions.

City Express Mexicali was clean and quiet - lots of parking. We walked to a restaurant nearby and had a great meal. I would stay at this hotel again.

Unfortunately, the room I was assigned was dirty and had a foul odor for the 24 hours I was there. I recommend more cleaning and disinfecting the bad odors.

Todo muy bien, el personal de recepción muy amable, dando un buen servicio. El único tema a mejorar es el olor a fosa que salía de la regadera/baño.

Room looked cleaned but it is a NON SMOKER hotel and previous people smoked in the room so it smelled, they just sent someone to add some spray to kill the smell and turn on my ac... later on i had to call and complain again about the smell so i got another room.

Clean room, lobby, parking lot. Fantastic service overall.

the Stay was great went back fro there breakfast but the room was dirty floor was not swept or mopped and the bed had black hairs all over it other then that it was great

Room reeked of smoke, noise all night from the reception hall next door, heels stomping upstairs, doors slamming past midnight, and paper-thin walls—you can hear everything from next door. Worst night’s sleep ever.

The bedding needs an overhaul. New mattress’s and pillows.

Property is showing it’s age. Air conditioner is old and noisy.

El servicio y el personal muy amables camas y almohadas muy buenas pero el aire acondicionado fatal hace mucho ruido no se puede dormir están pésimos

This was an extremely noisy property. We could hear the pipes inside the walls in the first room we got. (201) In the second room (315) we could hear everything from the guests above us. We had to call front desk to put a noise complaint at 3 am. Walls and ceilings are so thin that we heard the phone ring when front desk called those guests above us. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was OK, average. But if you are expecting a restful night sleep, I guess this is a hit or miss.

Good location, good service, clean and great breakfast! My only suggestion is in regards of noise. My room was the far end of third floor and I could hear many voices in the aisle and the elevator chime. But other than that, it was a good experience.

The WiFi on the fourth floor wasn’t working at all. I asked for a room away from outside noises and I was put in a room where outside club music was loud. Also other tenants were noisy on the fourth floor.

The bedding is in need for an upgrade. The mattress is very hard.

I was too close to the elevator that i heard the bell all night and morning.

Llegué a la hora del Check in (3pm) y tuve que esperar en el lobby una hora porque no tenían habitaciones disponibles en ese momento. Tenía una cita de trabajo a las 5pm y no pude acomodarme ni bañarme por ese retraso

Hotel check in is at 3pm, arrived a bit before 4pm and the room was not ready. Had to wait another 30-40 minutes, which made me late for my event.

Property is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and efficient.

I was charged twice for the one night stay by the staff

Everything was very nice. They only had one person at check out and he was very slow. But other than that it was a nice place.

All the staff members are very kind and professional. Housekeeping does a great job, breakfast is excellent, check in is fast and friendly.

Recepcionista David atiende de mala gana, avienta tus cosas sobre el mostrador, aun cuando yo se las di en la mano (INE). Aparte me queria volver a cobrar el costo de habitacion cuando ya estaba pagada en linea.

TERRIBLE el check in, tardamos UNA HORA haciendo fila para registrarnos parecía Hotel de Las Vegas pero con solo una persona atendiendo y contestando llamadas, luego llegó otra persona por reclamo de nosotros, sin embargo, no podía ayudar mucho porque solo existe una terminal para pago. Gerente no se si hay o no tuvo la atención para apoyar a su personal.

I would definitely stay again. Great location and breakfast was good.

I was traveling with my family. There are casinos for parties next door. People were in the parking lot partying after they closed the casino. Loud music playing from trucks. When we arrived, it took about 1.5 hours to get our rooms. The staff seemed to be having issues with management. When we arrived to our room, the floors were still wet. It was not a good experience.

Easy access to restaurants and near by plaza.

This hotel is in the visitor area, near everything anyone needs on a vacation or weekend trip (restaurants, fast food, supermarkets, shopping, entertainment).

la ubicacion es excelente y el estacionamiento es perfecto incluso si se anda a pie es perfecto (yo tenia auto)...

No selos recuerdo las camas súper duras, la reservación era para 4 y solo teníamos 2 toallas para bañarnos,el baño no tenía filtro en el cable no había nada lo que se miraba era progracion muy vieja y tampoco tiene refrigerador en el cuarto””pero que decir decía desayuno comienza 7 pero no había nada y apenas era 7:45 tubimos que ir varias personas a preguntar qué pasa con los desayunos solo no dijeron que el cocinero no se presentó”””espero y solucionen ese problema por mi parte cero recomendable para el precio que combraron y todos salimos con dolor de espalda fue la peor noche 👎👎👎👎

I liked the fast check in and the staff was friendly professional. The room was clean. The fourth floor was quiet and only had someone argue at 4 am in the hallway. The breakfast buffet was great. I loved it. It was on the light side but perfect for us. The fruit was fresh and sweet.

The breakfast is not good....they made always the same....and ac isn't in good conditions.

Los alimentos del plato fuerte (hevo, guiso, etc.) se terminaban muy pronto y el personal se ve revasado en timepo para surtir de nuevo.

El desayuno decía que estaba a las 7am, se hicieron 7:15am y no tenían las cosas completas y decían que otros 15 minutos y así hasta que nos fuimos sin un desayuno completo
