Room was very comfortable. Had river view side. We did hear the music from the club down the street which was a little annoying at night. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. The in shower toiletries were pretty much empty when we checked in and weren’t refilled. Thankfully we had packed some. Pool was cold. One kiddo did not enjoy swimming with how cold she was. Valet was awesome. Would stay here again.

All in all an average hotel, prices to dine at the hotel were pretty expensive. Breakfast for to came to 70 dollars… also no parking. You either have to pay to chauffeur your vehicle everytime you want to leave or pay for parking in a garage a block away

This is a conference hotel in downtown Lansing with 11 or 12 floors, and at the time only had 1 working elevator. The desk staff was not welcoming and appeared to be annoyed by having to even wait on people. We were given free drink passes for the sundry or at the restaurant. The sundry was closed for the day, no worries. The bar/restaurant, however, was "please wait to be seated" but after the bartender and 2 waitstaff looked at us and didn't acknowledge our presence, we decided to go elsewhere. The room, was just another hotel room. It did have a nice view of the river, but there was just nothing making it stand out from the rest. The vanity in the bathroom had a broken leg, there was debris under it as well, the exhaust fan in the shower could stand to be cleaned, and the shower glass looked like they hadn't been cleaned from top to bottom in a week. Now, that said, they do have one of the nicest fitness rooms we have seen in a while and the pool area looked nice as well.

Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. There was only 1 elevator working during our 3 day stay, so waits were long. The pool was closed for service 2 of the 3 days as well.

Very nice clean hotel/room. Not much to do in the area. Restaurant has a very limited menu and staff but the food was decent. There is a Starbucks in the hotel but nobody was behind the counter to serve me. No complimentary breakfast/coffee. Valet parking is $28 plus tax and tip. Self parking is $15.

The elevators sucked. Not working half the time and 7 of our cheerleaders got stuck in one and fire had to get them out after we had to call 911 to get them out.. So walking up and down the stairs all weekend really sucked!

I got a good deal, otherwise I would probably have stayed somewhere else. It could be because Lansing was kind of dead at the time of our visit. No events at the convention center and the Lugnuts were out of town. This also made it possible to park on the street and avoid the expensive parking. The pool was nice. Hotels.com said there was a hot tub. There wasn’t. No biggie.

At the time we stayed, the elevators were under construction so it was a very long wait at times for the single working elevator. We ended up taking the stairs down from the 10th floor more than once due to long waits and full elevators.

Despite advertising that they have a hot tub, there was no hot tub. If you stayed in the shower longer than 3 minutes the shower floor began to flood. Our first room smelled heavily like cigarette smoke and we had to switch rooms. Our second room had dirt and food particles on the floor in the corner when we opened the curtains whwre they clearly don't clean.

Great place for MSU families! Clean, comfortable, and the location is great. Only downside was that we were near an ice machine that was VERY loud consistently through the night and the walls are pretty thin. We used ear plugs the second night and problem solved - we slept great. We’ll definitely stay here again!

This place used to be really nice when I was a kid. That was 20 something years ago. Problem is , I think it’s the same carpet from then. Old carpet , outdated rooms, one of the three elevators working. The staff was nice though. Not really anything special about this hotel anymore.

The hotel is very clean and we saw signs throughout the hotel saying they were getting ready to update. The bathroom was very nice and our room was clean. The only issue we had was with the room temperature. It was so hot throughout the night and the A/C did not work well at all.

Booked here for location, which was ideal for downtown area. The staff was friendly and helpful, including third party valet service which I highly recommend. My air unit didn’t blow cold air so that’s a thing. Secondly, I’m all for all families with kids to be on same floors. Kids were screaming at 1130pm running down halls. Not cool.

The hotel is not maintained. There were holes in the walls, and dehumidifiers hooked up to the ceiling throughout the lobby area. The staff were rude and unhelpful. When we requested the valet to retrieve our vehicle, it took him more than an hour. When we complained to the front desk . . . they told me it was not their problem! When I talked to the manager, he told me that it was not their problem. I will never stay in this hotel, or another Doubletree ever!

Check in was awful! The desk staff did not acknowledge the long line, nor did they move with any sense of urgency. At one point, one of the 2 people working just left. Our room was not ready when we finally checked in at 4:30pm, so we had to repeat the process when we returned after the football game at 11pm. Bonus...the elevator we took up to our room was scary.

We booked this hotel for a family wedding in the Lansing area. The hotel was clean. I can't say enough great things about the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. The parking attendants were friendly and prompt with our car. We asked about food around the area. They gave us a great recommendation and a map on how to get their. The staff made our stay exceptional. Customer service is lacking in so many places on a days. But every staff person we talked with were friendly and helpful. All smiles. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The property was fine. Check in was a disaster. We never got our room until 6:15 after waiting over 2 hours in the lobby for our rooms (2) to be cleaned and ready. Room cleaning was not completed until maybe 9pm as we saw cleaning carts in the hallway as late as then. I guess our wait could have been longer. Also one elevator never worked and a second was out of service briefly during the busiest morning rush obliging us to use the stairs even though one of our party was on crutches.

The hotel itself was great. Very friendly staff, from front desk to mini market/coffee shop and restaurant. The the burger and fries in the bar restaurant were delicious. The only drawback was the surrounding neighborhood was in decline. A homeless encampment across the street.

Area of downtown that gets very quiet at night, and even the valet closes at midnight. Easy walk to capital or Lugnut baseball stadium. No shops or cafes locally at night. Really comfortable rooms, very nice staff. A pleasant stay.

Paid for a River View received a view of 4 trees in front of my window. Seal on window must have been broken because the condensation was so bad everywhere in the room. Restaurant wasn't open when it was suppose to be and the poor Starbucks employee needed help as she was working by herself.

I would have rated higher, but our coffee machine had used pods from the previous guest, mini fridge hardly produced any chill and beverages and food were nuke warm, and there was no microwave. Staff was mostly great, minus the market worker. She was rude.

Three elevators for 11 story hotels. Only one working. Not uncommon to wait 15 minuets for the one elevator. On the first night the Fire Department was called to free guests from a stuck elevator. Breakfast buffet was open until 10:00am. arrives at 9:30 to find most pans were empty. One pancake and 2 pc bacon, no sausage, rolls or eggs. server advised they were closing in 1/2 hr and not going to refill the buffet. No problem charging my party of 6 for full rate. Other guests arrived shortly after us and were immediately seated to an empty buffet. Went to gift food shop on Saturday afternoon to pickup some sodas and chips for the 4 kids. Store was closed due to no staff. I reserved and was charged for a suit but given a junior suite with no explanation or credit. Frint desk advised they would pass on my complaints to the manager but was never contacted. We used the valet parking and on checkout I noticed we were charged $10 for late checkout. We checked out at 9:30am. When I questioned the charge, I was told it is automatically added to every valet parking bill. Seem as I questioned it they removed it. Very unprofessional for a Hilton property.

Stayed for an event at the Lansing center last minute- the hotel was great, clean and the service was friendly. The area is fine, everything closes early though so it’s nice that they have their own restaurant that’s open later. Would stay again!
