It was clean and comfortable. Our room could be used for a longer stay as it included a kitchenette. They don't provide breakfast but the have the best coffee from fresh ground coffee beans. Definitely a plus for us!

The bed was soft and felt comfortable at first, but wasn't very supportive. I woke up stiff the first morning and with my back out of alignment after the second. Everything else was just fine. The area was nice. The kitchen was much better than a continental breakfast. Everything seemed clean.

We had a great stay at Candlewood. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for rollaway and extra towels, and they provided quickly and happily. The coffee machine at the lobby is awesome, brewing freshly grinded coffee that tasted great. The only drawback is that there is no dining place within walking distance. But it’s short drive to MSU and nearby restaurants. There is also a full size refrigerator, electric stove and dining wares and even dish detergents in the room. A laundry room too. The room rate is very reasonable. So a great place for a longer stay too. Very happy with the hotel and will come back in the future.

Room was OK but could have been cleaner around the edges. Kitchenette was nicely stocked. No room cleaning and only supplies for one night. Could at least leave extra coffee and toilet paper! Have stayed near by for same price and received a lot more services and amenities.

The air conditioning unit was leaking onto the rug so the rug was all wet . Two lightbulbs weren’t working at the coffee bar. However, the staff wanted to help and planned to get things fixed and the breakfast was good.

My room key wouldn't work. Had to get new ones twice. Didn't appreciate being locked out.& there was rust all around the sink. The refrigerator kept making noises & didn't keep my food & drinks cold. The sheets had blood stains on them. The Comforter was dirty & smelled musty. Was loud. Didn't sleep good at all. The carpet had crumbs by the bed. Didn't have enough coffeee or towels. Supplied. Veey disappointed. Won't be going back ever.

My stay was marked with a door lock which never did work correctly, could work if you fiddled with the card and lock for a while. Was promised to be looked at everyday I was there, but never was. There was garbage in my room, the tub faucet was broken, hairs were on the floor, and the HVAC was noisy. Nice kitchen though, with a dripping kitchen sink. Lots of little annoyances, but overall functional place to stay near MSU with a kitchenette and a friendly staff. Big room.

Super quiet hotel. Had a room with a queen bed and a pullout couch, which worked for my husband and I and our teen daughter. Spacious bathroom. Nice to be able to adjust temperature of room to our liking on a thermostat versus a window unit. Super close to MSU livestock pavilion.

Checking in was a breeze. The front desk clerk was nice. The room was just as described. The only issues were the bed felt more like a full, not a queen, and the air conditioner didn’t work as well as I’d liked.

I could hear EVERY SINGLE FOOTSTEP of the person above me ... there were maybe 8 people at this hotel last night (at the most)/parking lot nearly empty ... COULDN'T you have at least put me in a room away from the noise of other hotel guests? Pillows way too soft, so you have no support. A combination of firm and soft pillows would have been accomodating/inviting. The room (although visibly clean), had a unpleasant smell ---- not fresh! And one set of towels ... really?!?!!! Very basic hotel and services ... meh!

I can't say enough good things about Autumn who checked me in on April 13. She was so friendly, took the time to talk to me, and really made feel more welcome at a hotel than I have in a long time. I was especially thankful for a good experience beause the hotel I had originally checked into ended up having bugs crawling on the bed. What a relief it was to be welcomed by Autumn! Then it was so great to find a clean, comfortable room to relax in and get ready for my event the next morning. I am glad I stayed here, and would definitely stay again.

Well stay was fine and was prepaid in full through Expedia. Upon check-in they said they needed my Credit Card for Deposit for just in case. Just got my bill and noticed they charged my CC additional on top of Expedia prepaid price. Still waiting for answer from complaint I filed through Expedia on this matter before I call my Credit Card company. Will leave follow up upon a response or resolution

Shameful to lock out your guests returning from a U Club event at 10 pm, forcing them to call the desk or wander into the parking lot. Just key the room keys to the entry door like every other good hotel. You market yourself as connected to the Henry Center and U Club but do this!! Very bad and I have been a loyal customer!

I like that the staff was friendly and the roombed/bathroom was clean. In the morning they ran out of coffee in the so I couldn't get any. Out of coffee? Also had to pay for my 2 boiled eggs. A nice free breakfast would be nice.
