My family’s stay was disappointing, but I hope this feedback aids improvement. Arriving in the late evening on Friday, we found limited parking due to storage containers at the lot’s far end, forcing us to park in a poorly lit, secluded area near the street, which felt unsafe. The hallway to our room reeked of skunk-weed, impacting our first impression of the hotel. We booked a room for 3 people, a king with a pullout sofa for our son, but no bedding was provided in the room for the sofa bed. When I called the front desk, I was told I had to walk down to the front desk to get it myself. The staff, though polite, initially gave me only a wadded-up blanket. When I asked for sheets, she went back and retrieved a wad of sheets; back in the room, I realized it was the wrong size for the sofa bed and lacked a top sheet. Exhausted, I chose not to return to the desk. The sofa bed mattress was old, yellowed and uncomfortable. The king bed was comfortable, the only nice part of the room. The bathroom faucet wouldn’t switch to the showerhead, streaming only from the faucet despite pulling the shower pin. My husband couldn’t fix it, and we reported it the next day. I requested a partial refund for the inability to shower, but was told prepayment made this impossible. Later, the staff offered a room change, but as we were settled, moving for showers was impractical. I appreciated the attempt to address the concern.

Just one night, but a good experience. The front desk person was nice and the room was clean and king bed super comfortable. The breakfast was fine. Had everything you need for a quick bite (Eggs, Bacon, Cereal, Yogurt, bread, etc..). The hotel is dated, but for a basic stay was just fine. Looked to be in the middle of a reno so pool was out and a few 'in progress' signs throughout. Would stay here again. Comfortable, great price and close to highway and Historic Frederick.

It was a great location to Frederick. Clean and very nice staff. One thing noted is the outside stairwell door didn’t shut the whole way unless forced shut so it remained unlocked and accessible 24/7. Bit of a safety concern.

I was not able to sleep past 7am because they are replacing the roof and there was a lot of noise. I stayed in the second floor so they were literally above me. My shower also had a hole the size of my foot. Would not recommend it. My room was 227.

Air conditioner did not work in the room. They offered to move my room, but it was upstairs and a double bed, I requested the first floor and a king room. Oh, and there’s no elevator and my daughter is handicap. So yeah, it was not happy with this visit. And I think they knew that air conditioner wasn’t working because apparently it was the only room left which I find hard to believe.

Basic hotel that is a few minutes drive from downtown Frederick. The hotel could use a facelift, as it is a little dated, but has a large amount of rooms. The room was a bit dark with limited lighting — my only critique. The breakfast was fairly good with a number of options in the small dining room. It should be noted that this hotel doesn’t have an elevator to the second floor.

Poorly maintained, incredibly loud guests, cars constantly coming and going in the parking lot at all hours, air conditioners are turned off on 100* days when you are checking in, vastly over priced location for what it has to offer. Parking lot was paved by Stevie wonder. Lights in the front lobby are out where it was very ominous to check in. Hall ways to rooms not air-conditioned.

Good deal for the price. Pool was green, thus closed. Electric door lock didn’t work easily. But quiet, clean and safe.

Found bed bugs in the room. Transferred rooms and found roaches. I also noticed there was no bed skirt in the room we transferred into, which tipped me off to thinking that it had been thrown out due to a bed bug infestation. Anyways, I would avoid this property. They’re clearly having an issue. We had to check out of the hotel within an hour or two.

In the early morning I went to the bathroom and found a BEDBUG climbing the wall heading towards the light switch to hide. My wife and I were in Frederick to help my sister move into a new apartment. We were disgusted and had to flee the room and hotel at 5am because we definitely were not staying anywhere in that place!!! I made a few videos and took pictures for evidence then we ran out of there. The front desk guy knew they had Bugs but he couldn't say much because he works there. I would NOT recommend this place to my WORST enemy.....STAY AWAY!!

This place is a dump. The parking lot had guys sitting outside drinking in between cars. The exterior of the hotel is run down and dirty. No elevator so we had to carry our heavy luggage from a two week road trip upstairs. The bathroom was disgusting and had hair in the tub, the shelves and tub floor were dirty and there was mold all over the ceiling. The floors hadn’t been properly cleaned. The carpet in the room itself had us wearing socks the entire stay. The sink outside the bathroom was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in months. The TV didn’t work. The only saving grace was the beds were comfortable. I can’t believe best western put their name on this one. What a disappointment.

Not great. Two of the 3 lamps they have in the rooms was not working. The room was therefore very dim the entire stay. Also had some sort of drywall issues above the shower head?

The first room we were given had a very unpleasant odor. Additionally, our keycard malfunctioned six times over the course of just two days, which was quite inconvenient. The hot water dispenser also doesn't work unless there's water in the coffee machine, which means you can't get any hot water for tea or other needs—this seems like a design flaw, as the hot water dispenser should have its own dedicated supply. The lighting in Room 146 is also too dim, and the window appears to be broken. As mentioned earlier, the smell in the room was particularly bad and made the stay uncomfortable.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, neither myself or my husband could get comfortable. I eventually bailed to the couch in the middle of the night. The bathroom is very small and hard to move around in. Staff was friendly and the area around it is nice with good dining options.

I needed a place to stop after being on the road for 15hrs. The condition of the hotel was average. Room was clean. Problem was with the element that was there that evening. I had a room that was next to a stairwell door and heard it slamming all night. I called the front desk to complain multiple times and apparently other guests had complained as well. Management did nothing to stop or control the issue. Dont stay in room 161 or any other room near a door frequently used for passage. None of the self closing doors are adjusted properly and slam closed. This could easily be averted by adjusting them to close lightly. A night manager that cared would've been some help as well. No refund or concern about trying to make it right what so ever. Flat refused to give me his managers phone number. Ill be contacting BW corporate over this. Wish i didn't have to bit this experience warrants it. I'm really not the type for this but this type of Incompetence brought it out of me. Definitely WON'T stay there again.

It was average at best. People in the front messed up reservations for a family member that we paid for in advance. She showed up and they told her they had no suxh reservation for her and caused her to have a severe panic attack considering she drove a long way and it was late in the evening.

The gentleman at the front desk named Mitchell was very helpful and friendly. He is an asset to the Best Western company. I had several personal issues that needed solving and Mitchell was not only prepared but put me at ease by assuring me that he could easily solve my situation. Keep that young man on staff!!!

When we got there and checked in, they gave us a key to someone else’s room, which was uncomfortable when I unlock the door and there was somebody already in the room. Then the room they gave us. The bathroom did not have a vanity to it so it was hard to brush our teeth and put out stuff that we need for hygiene and impossible for my wife to do her make up.

This hotel is an excellent value. It is close to downtown Frederick. It is a little older facility, but it is well maintained and keep very clean. I spent 5 days there and it was quite, has all amenities I needed, and was reasonably priced.

Overall very nice. Not very eco-friendly - still using multiple plastic bags in trash cans and little plastic bottles for shampoo and conditioner. Desk sits in the way of the air conditioner airflow so the air doesn't distribute well in the room. Near historic downtown and nice overall.

Staff was great! Safe, quiet. They opened the pool a little early so my grandkids could get a morning swim. Only suggestion is to not call it Historc Frederick as it gives the impression you are right downtown. That threw us when we checked in . Otherwise thank you for a safe. O for table friendly stay

Bathroom was small, clean but it still worked for me. Breakfast was delicious, I was happy to see scrambled eggs and bacon, plus the biscuit and gravy. Lots of fruit to choose from also. Coffee was also very good.

Stayed here for one night while coming back from Edinburg VA. Hotel staff was friendly, room was clean. The pool was open and clean. Breakfast in the morning was simple but good (eggs, sausage, sausage biscuits, waffles) along with mixed muffins, juice and coffee. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

It was good, but I wasn't impressed with the Free Breakfast, it needed replenished more often, we got down there at 9, which I know it's till 9:30, but some items were empty, so that could be improved for sure!
