Concierge was awesome! Literally walked us to a local bar and gave us directions we needed from there. Offered to pick us up late night if we needed. Roof top bar was good. Zack was a great bartender. Room waa lovely, quiet, comfortable. We liked our stay at Hu.Hotel.

Front desk staff was friendly and knowledgable. You do have to pay for parking and it’s across the street but convenient enough for a downtown location. Wi-Fi worked within the room and common areas. Bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. Hallway was a little worn but room was bright and spacious.

The room was nicely appointed, bed was comfy, restroom was so large! Great windows to look down on the street. Service was great, friendly. They will provide ice upon request. You can get them to put frozen packs in their freezer as the room only has a cold fridge, not a freezer. There is a safe, A separate bar area in the room for washing, making drinks, etc. Did not get to try the bar or breakfast on site. Parking is off-site, very close, secure for $22 a night. The hotel is beautiful and so close to Beale and downtown. We were able to walk. Felt safe throughout.

Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to assist whenever needed. The roof top bar was beautiful. Only criticism was the gym is across the street and not in the hotel. Definitely recommend the HU Hotel.

Good: Cute and clean. Not good: Advertised gym/fitness room but it’s across the street and closed on Sundays (didn’t know ahead of time). Breakfast $15/pp leaves MUCH to be desired. No ice anywhere except at the bar and not much staffing. Rooftop bar closed earlier than advertised (or never opened at all).

I had a great time at The Hu. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. The rooftop view is lovely, overlooking the river. My only complaint is there's no coffee in rooms... but there's coffee shops very closeby.

The workers were nice but the hotel and room were very dirty. The hallways of the hotel seem like they haven’t been vacuumed since 1920. Our bed was comfortable but the carpet was stained in multiple places which leaves you questioning how long it’s been since it last seen a carpet cleaner. Last but not least, there was a gigantic wad of hair left in the shower drain and that pretty much speaks for itself on cleanliness. Again workers were very sweet, the rest was disappointing.

So first the staff had excellent customer service. However, the carpet in the room I stayed in had lots of stains. There was lipstick on one the glasses. There was visible dirt and dust in several areas. The breakfast was minimal. No bacon, no non dairy options for milk. There are no ice machines, you have to come downstairs. There was also a dent or some type instability in the floor of my room.

While every staff member I encountered was friendly, courteous, and genuinely helpful, the condition of the property was shockingly bad. The hotel is simply not maintained. My room carpet was stained and looked like it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in years. The bathroom floor was greasy and grimy—not something you want to see when stepping out of the shower. Common areas were just as bad, especially the elevator, which had a filthy floor that never seemed to be cleaned during my stay. It’s unfortunate because the team tries to provide good service, but that can’t make up for the basic lack of cleanliness and upkeep. I won’t be staying here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it until they invest in serious cleaning and maintenance.

Hello, Just a few things about my room; carpet has numerous spots and needs cleaning, the refrigerator door has what looks like the letter "G" scraped on it and on the night stand closes to the bathroom looks as if someone put a cigarette out on it. Also the shower wasn't clean at all, so I was unable to shower. I was disappointed in the room. I have photos as well Thank you for your time.

The carpet thru out the hotel was stained & old. The shower was leaking causes rust in the tub. It’s was mold in the tile of the tub. Curtains had a tear in it. House keeping wasn’t using bleach to clean the rooms

Anytime I’m in Memphis I always stay at the Hu. The staff is amazing, the location is close to the places I like to visit. My last stay prior to this visit was 2 years ago. My ONLY complaint is the carpet! Ownership has to get it under control. As soon as I walked onto my floor, there were two huge, unattractive stains. This was same issue I saw 2 years ago in the room and was truly wishing this was not the same case. I love this hotel but this is the downfall.

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was far from clean, with noticeably dirty carpets and missing tiles in the bathroom. The lighting was so poor it made the room feel dingy and unwelcoming. To top it off, the room lacked basic amenities like a microwave and refrigerator, and the hotel offered no food options whatsoever. The breakfast hours were ridiculously short, barely giving guests a chance to eat. And as if that wasn't enough, there was a concerning leak in the lobby ceiling. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was LOVELY, with really cool, unique art deco fixtures and huge windows in the bathroom! For a similar price, it was by far the nicest hotel we stayed at on our 10 day road trip. The bell hop was incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed and bedding were super comfortable and the lobby had a great breakfast for only $10/guest. The location was also fabulous!

We love this hotel. Just found it on HOOTELS and booked due to reviews. It was fantastic! Very nice, great service and staff, all were very friendly and herlpful. We're been a little leery of Memphis lately but this place was great. They took good care of us. The view to the West is fantastic, best Sunset ever overlooking the river, Mud Island and both bridges! Access was easy and the room was perfect, it was huge and super clean. My parents have already stayed there since our visit, had the same opinion as us, and we'll definitely stay again next trip. I'd say this is our new 'go-to' hotel in Memphis.

This is absolutely my favorite hotel in downtown Memphis. The customer service is phenomenal. I love the decor and vibe of the Hu Hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and relaxing. I stayed in a one bedroom suite which was beautiful. The parking in the garage across the street is very convenient. This was my second time staying at the hotel in the past 5 months.

The staff were amazing at this property. Ebony at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent. The room was spacious and we were upgraded at the time of check in. Our air conditioning did not work well. Maintenance came in to check on it and ebony called us to see if we wanted to change rooms. We thought we would be okay for two nights and we were. I found the carpet in the room and hallways to be very dated and stained. But it did not take away from the fun we had while there. There was nothing to do right around the hotel and walking back from Beale Street felt a little unsafe in one of the two nights, with some of the homeless people. The front door was locked and Ebony let us in.

Parking is not-included but there is a parking deck near by and you can pull up and drop off bags in front of the hotel. Friendly staff (special shout out to Derick) is there waiting to help. Renovated enough to be convenient and clean with a 1950 Art Deco Black American vibe it’s a great location to enjoy Beale street and historic downtown Memphis

The hotel itself was nice. Breakfast was not included and $10/person for your typical free hotel breakfast anywhere else. The hotel is in a BAD neighborhood. There were several homeless people passed out out side on the sidewalk. Definitely not family friendly.

This is the second time staying at the Hu. Great location for downtown activities and restaurants. Great rooftop view of the Mississippi River. There is a Rooftop party on the weekend. Free for guest. Nice oversized rooms. Friendly and helpful workers at the front desk.

While the front desk staff deserves a 5-star rating, everything else is subpar. 1. You cannot order room service - at all! There is a rooftop bar but it is not open 24/7 and they may run out of food. They have a breakfast bar in the morning but no restaurant. 2. You may die of heat stroke in the elevators - NO AIR in Jul/Aug heat in Memphis! 3. They are pet friendly - a plus to some; a negative to others. Pet friendly guests should have their own section of rooms never to be shared with non-pet guests. 4. Their is no full length mirror in the room. In fact, I reserved a King Junior Suite and there was only ONE (1) mirror in the room and that was in the bathroom. 5. Even though the lobby, hallways, elevators and my room, upon check-in, were clean, you have to request housekeeping services by 11 pm the night BEFORE you want your room attended. The services rendered do not match the quality of service experienced at comparable hotels. For example, the soiled towels, hand towels and face cloths were removed from the room but clean ones were not provided. The bathroom was not cleaned, soaps were not replenished, tissues were not restocked, etc. Obvious trash left in a bag beside the trash can was not removed from the room though the trash can was dumped. The sinks and countertops were not cleaned or even wiped down. 6. When I requested fresh towels, I had to go down to the front desk to retrieve them myself. They were not delivered to my room. 7. No hotel buzzer or keyless entry

As a frequent traveler who has stayed in numerous hotels, I was eager to experience this establishment in downtown Memphis, given its proximity to Beale Street and several appealing restaurants. However, I must advise against purchasing their $10.00 breakfast; in my experience, hotels charging significantly less have provided far superior breakfast options. The eggs were cold, the sausage was of low quality, and the potatoes were undercooked. The orange juice, however, was excellent. The rooms were adequate. While I would not personally choose to stay there again, this is merely my personal opinion. The customer service was exceptional; every staff member I encountered was delightful and helpful. The rooftop bar is a highlight, offering a pleasant atmosphere. The bartenders were skilled, and the drinks were delicious. I would rate my stay a 6 out of 10.

Highlight is the rooftop bar with happy hour watching sunset over the Mississippi. Good location too. Don’t bother with breakfast with plastic cutlery and plastic food :) Staff almost surly except for doorman.

The rooftop bar is terrible, uncomfortable and poor quality drinks in plastic glasses. Everything was sticky. The room Was ok, but had an odd odor. The television didn’t get reception most of the night. I would not stay there again
