TV in our room did not work. Front desk said the cable company was working on it. The next morning it still didn't work butthe TV in the breakfast area worked. Reported it tothe front desk again. Otherwise our stay was great.

Pool not open air conditioner didn't work properly no hot water and shower head kept falling off. Breakfast was horrible service was basically non existence. Toilet flushed only half the time one plunger for two hotels

While this property was convenient and affordable, you get what you pay for. I really wanted to like it because our checkin was great and the hotel staff were friendly. This was our second time staying here, and both times, the air quality of the heater was poor and the room was not clean. It looked like there had been things spilled on the floor with no attempt to clean. The motion-sensor light in the bathroom was also not ideal. The treadmill and the bike in the workout room did not work. The outdated rooms didn’t bother me as much, and the beds were comfortable.

We checked in on Tues night and had no hot water. After informing desk, a sign was posted but not hot water until 8pm on Fri night. Also on Thurs, elevator elevator went out and had to use stairs to get to our room for last 2 days. Staff had no care or concern for any needs. Breakfast food, especially breads were extremely stale.

If all you need is a place to lay your head for the night, then this place would accommodate. However, staff at front desk is pitiful. I was there for 15 minutes, ringing the bell and calling the hotel number trying to find somebody to check me in. It turned out the person that does that is also managing the hotel next door and he runs between the two. I suggested he put a sign up. He was not apologetic. The first night the TV had no signal, and the gentleman working the front counter, came up and answer a few minutes was able to get it back online. The second night the exact same thing happened however, the person at the front desk never came to my room after I waited for an hour. So I had no TV that evening. And when I want to check out, I didn’t get a thank you for staying with us, hope you will come back, were there any issues, nothing other than a we got it The only bright spot was breakfast, which was pretty decent, and while the first day there was nobody with inside of breakfast the second day, the young lady attending to it was extremely polite. She took care of things, kept things, neat and clean and tidy. I was very impressed with her. It is she and the rest of the staff Does not have the same work ethic. Overall, based on my experience, this hotel was way over priced

Overall the room was comfortable, clean, and beds were nice. As per other reviews it did smell musty and moldy. My kids and I stayed for one night, it’s 45 mins from the Port of Norfolk so we stayed here to save a few bucks. Upon arrival there was no one at the desk but after calling the hotel management arrived about 7 mins later. Check in was fine. However, we had an unlucky room. First, the entire hotel had a t.v. outage and signs were posted to all the doors stating this. So no t.v. There was no iron and the hair dryer was broken. However management was very responsive. They quickly got me into the empty room next door to use the hair dryer (they’re all mounted not portable), and brought up an iron. The iron cord was malfunctioning so I gave up. There are no restaurants in walking distance. There is a shady motel right next to it. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but our stay served our needs so it was fine.

No one at check-in and breakfast terrible. Treadmill broken.

The hotel looked like it was being closed for renovations and was not being maintained or staffed. The staff was always at the motel next door and had to be called back to this hotel when we had a question. The continental breakfast was plain toast with no toppings and tiny packages of Raisin Brand cereal. Nothing else to eat and nothing to drink. No plates either. The “included pool” was at the motel next door. So were all the working ice machines. The elevator service inspection certificate was 2 years out of date. The lobby and the hallways all smelled very strongly of marijuana.

Gal at front desk did her best. Overall not very clean. Old coffee left in room, no litebulb in bedside lamp. Pool was not useable, no ice available without going to hotel next door. Would not recommend. Also, elevator had no evidence of inspection for 2 years

Horrible experience. Room was extremely dirty. There was visible mold in the ceiling and the sheets smelled of vinegar.

Old, run down, broke, dirty carpet, stain on sheet, water stain on bathroom ceiling, paint peel off, bathroom flush not working well.

Quiet, convenient location but room had webs with spiders in it. Broken window, Tv didn’t work and micorwave unplugged behind the dresser and no room service done for the 2nd day of our stay.

The room had ants badly

The place was very clean. Staff was friendly. We slept well. Highly recommended for overnight or transitional stays.

My first room had ginormous centipedes in it (dead on the floor, multiple, pic doesn’t do it justice, they were the length of my palm), my second room the shower head didn’t work. Beds were incredible uncomfortable, the kind that have a flat hard surface and very bouncy inner springs. The staff was friendly. I tried to contact management about my issues, I received no response, I tried corporate, same thing. It’s also located right next to a super divey strip club.

The area they are in looks kind of sketchy. It seems okay upon first walking in, aside from the old/mildew smell. The staff is NEVER at the front desk and you call and no one answers the phone. To make matters worse, I went to my room and there were live bed bugs on the mattress. I reported it and they moved my room. Well guess what...the next room also had bed bugs on the mattress. I told them and requested a refund since I had been in the building less than 40 min. They said they would and never did. And are now adamantly refusing to give a refund despite the conditions of the rooms, which makes them uninhabitable. Definitely would NOT recommend. Wish I could have given no stars.

Dirty smelly rooms, customer service very poor the only with average breakfast which they use to woo customers but it’s pancake with no egg in it .

The hallways smelt funky, there was hair in the bathroom shower that was not mine, and the cleanliness all around was just absolutely terrible. Would not stay there again.

The shower didn’t get hot and very little water pressure. The room had stuff in it from prior occupants. The beds were very uncomfortable.

Room was slightly updated and clean. Water pressure in the shower was low. Air conditioning in room worked but couldn’t keep the room cool. There were times when there was no one at the front desk, but I needed help with my TV and my call was answered and a very nice woman helped me with it.

Room was nice. If you wanted something other than fast food you had to drive about 5 miles. Otherwise easy on and off freeway.

Enjoyed the clean room, however the air conditioning compressor was loud throughout night. Breakfast was ok with exception of super dry bread for toast and powdered eggs.

Older Hotel, but this stay my room was clean and well kept. AC unit was a little noisy, but cooled good and I like fan noise when I sleep. Evening lady on front desk very nice both stays. She also gave me a one bed room both weeks when I asked. Hotel is showing it's age, but great for my needs.

It was quiet, clean, with very comfortable bedding. Checkin was quick. We liked the room. Sadly, the toilet had an elongated bowl but had a too small, standard seat and lid that wobbled and slid off to the side when used. Wow.

Had a smoke free room booked but the room smelled heavily of previous smokers.

The rooms need a major update. Everything was plugged in surge protectors. The tall lamp was behind the chair but couldn’t be plugged in. The fridge did not get cold and smelled old. The clock was on the floor under the nightstand . The tv is small. The beds were uncomfortable. There was an extremely strong smell of febreeze like they were trying to hide a smell. Not the best but not the worst place to stay

You cannot close the curtains. The water in the sink was very slow. Older style, but otherwise everything was good.

The heating/AC was very noisy and kept cutting on and off from other rooms, which made it hard to sleep. The walls were thin, and the people next door woke up early and were obnoxiously loud.

Good stay. clean accommodations. Beds could use some updating. Mattress was too hard and pillows were not comfortable. Service was great! Staff was very helpful and accommodating! I would stay here again.

Upon arrival, no one was at the front desk for a check in for 5 to 10 minutes. That was after ringing the bill and calling the front desk where the phone just rang and no one was available. After check-in, our room was unsatisfactory, it smelled of marijuana smoke. so going back to the front desk where again I had to wait for five minutes after calling and ringing the bell for someone to assist me. This obviously could’ve been just a bad day or staffing issues. Our next day there was always someone at the front desk the breakfast was also well good. The location is very close to Fort Eustis and that was why we chose it. Not sure if I would choose to stay there again though. Hotel next-door had lots of people hanging around outside, and often smelled of marijuana as well

Very helpful in coordinating reservations

We arrived to check in and there was no staff in the hotel. We called wvery bumber we could find and finally got someone at Comfort Inn customer support. I was on the phone with them for 45 minutes as they called around trying to find someone to assist us. (They were calling rhe hotel that i was standing in with no staff). We wnded up leaving to male the event we were scheduled to be at with the promise that they would have a supervisor call me. No one wver called me back. We did finally get checked in when the night shift employee came in to find that no employee had been there since the night before.

The employees in this hotel are absolutely amazing! Kind and very helpful. It’s not a fancy hotel, but very quiet and clean. What we needed for nap and good night of sleep.

Convenient to Fort Eustis.

The property was close to both Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We found it easy to visit both locations from this motel.

The building is not well maintained. The staff was freindly and helpful. No one at the front desk. If you need to stay by Ft. Eustis it is extremely close.

Room was nice. If you wanted something other than fast food you had to drive about 5 miles. Otherwise easy on and off freeway.

Very friendly staff. Clean property. Close to busch gardens. Only downside was our shower curtain rod was basically falling off the wall so the curtain could barely close.

Pleasant Stay, clean and friendly service, Breakfast was OK, but was always the same food every Day, limited selection. Did not get my AARP discount when I extended my stay for an additional 3 days. I was told to contact Expedia but I had booked it thru Hotel’s.com. Disappointed with that.

no the greatest over booked comfront inn and red roof purchased by someone. Running to two establishments together over booked. i to place us at the red roof then said we couldn't get breakfast ecause red roof was not included. Enter my room at 2am while we slept vecause they over booked prior shift didn't inform staff they had to move us. tv doesn't work.breakfast was a mess. grandson dropped aon on the floor asked for a broom he said no!
