The property was a few blocks away from everything: waterfront, restaurants, etc. A perfect spot. I know there's a coffee spot on the grounds. I would like a coffee pot in the room, too.

We enjoyed our stay here and will use this same Hotel again. Location was great.Very easy walk to Bay Street and waterfront.Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean and neat. Bathroom was top notch. Only one drawback, parking is a little tight and limited.

I was told when I made my reservation that there is an elevator. There is NOT. They were kind enough to move me to street level, but office is on second floor. Bum knee issues. The hotel’s location to everything is wonderful and they met our pet friendly need. However, they tell you after checking in that if your dog makes any noise that they will call you to return to the room immediately and perhaps charge you some extra fee. Rather than risk any issues with dinner out with old friends coming to an abrupt end, we changed restaurant and took our dog

The rooms are stylish and spacious. The available amenities (coffee shop, cocktails, gym, off campus pool, bikes, etc) was an impressive listing. The stay was quieter than I expected because of my preference to being downtown. The property security allayed my vehicle safety concerns. I look forward to my next stay in the area.

Spacious room and bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate bathtub. Everything was very clean, exercise room on second floor, convenient to restaurants and historic tours. On-site parking, but car was never used again until we left. Highly recommend this hotel.

Shanae was really nice and very professional. It was very late when we checked in because we got a late start on our trip. She called to check to see if we were still going to keep our reservations. We were an hour away. The room is very comfortable, clean and roomy. The shower was wonderful. This is a small property. There is no pool or onsite laundry facility. City Java is on the property, kinda like a scaled back Starbucks but more personable. I give this property 5 stars!

The cleaning fluids they use are overpowering when you enter the room and leave a slippery residue on the bathroom floors. Also, it’s a bit inconvenient the way they manage their front desk; no one is usually there and you have to page them to come to the front desk. Nice people though.

Upon check in, the bathroom floor was slimy from cleaning liquids that were not removed. It was as though the floor was mopped but not dried, so the slimy cleaning fluid was just distributed around the floor. Also, I had to wait 15 minutes for a desk clerk to show up when checking out around 9 am. I complained about these things at check out and the owner called and left a voicemail to return the call, which I did, but no one ever returned the call.

The City Loft Hotel was a great place to stay. It exceeded my expectations. The room was immaculate and decorated so nice. They were very attentive to details. They even had delicious chocolate chip cookies delivered to the room in the evening. It is walking distance to the shops and waterfront dining. Will definitely stay here again!

The staff was very friendly, I’ve stayed here in the past and had a great experience, that’s why I chose to stay here this time. When I checked in everything seemed great. Got to the room, going over the room, the shower head was filthy, the GM came and scrubbed it, I mentioned there was mold above the entrance of shower, she said it was just stains, mentioned sink had black film in it, she cleaned that also. Spent the night, woke up the next morning, congested, got in shower, the smell from the water made me nauseous, then I noticed all the mold everywhere, took photos sent to my husband, it was black mold, took videos and photos of room, called office, she said she was going to refund for the inconvenience and that she was so sorry, seemed very sincere, I was extremely upset, as I’ve been sick from BM before, got home and get and email saying she came and cleaned and I was fine with the job she did and I waited til my stay was over to complain and that she was only partially refunding me now. Very disappointed and I feel that she only

Loved the hotel. Very nice and updated loved the shower and bathtub. Beds weren’t the most comfortable but overall loved the hotel. Close to everything. My family were in town for the Parris Island Marine graduation and it was perfect location for it.

This is my second stay at City Loft! Needless to say, this is where I’d choose to stay even if I were a local…because I am! There are many parts to why this is a favorite, mainly because the people who work at this particular hotel are accommodating and also very genuine. I am thankful to have a place to go.

Great little hotel/motel! The Staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. The City Java coffee and wine shop was delightful with very reasonable prices. Loved sitting out on the balcony with a glass of wine. Location could not be better if you want a downtown Beaufort experience. Highly recommend and will be back!

It's definitely a different style of stay. It's a refurbished motel. Basically, they took a motel room and put in a fancy bathroom. The "soaking" tub is so deep that, short people like myself could not get in or out easily. Neither the tub nor the shower has grab bars. The ad touts room service, but there isn't any. Additionally, you have to request ice from the front desk. You do not have any access to the ice room. No microwave either. It's overpriced for sure. Very convenient to Bay Street, the waterfront park, shopping, restaurants. The "kids" who ran the office while we were there were wonderful.

Lovely rooms better than the usual. Cookies at night delivered to the room. Coffee facilities in the room would have been nice, but cute coffee shop right on site. Right on the downtown area without being in it.
