ROOM WAS CLEAN, BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, AND PARKING WAS EASY. WE WERE ABLE TO WALK TO BENTLEVILLE AND GRANDA'S RESTAURANT. ALSO GO TO WATCH A SHIP GO OUT OF THE HARBOR WHILE WE WERE EATING BRAKFAST AT THE HOTEL SO THAT WAS SUPER NEAT.

We enjoyed the local brewery nearby... very unique. We loved walking around the downtown area, the pier and the bridge. So cool to see the big ships coming in. Within the hotel, we enjoyed the gym, pool and excellent breakfast. Room was comfortable, quiet and bathroom was very nice.

The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. We noticed that the mop boards were missing in the hallway (on the first floor). Are you in the process of replacing them? The initial appearance seemed to be that the hotel was in disarray, but hopefully replacement is the reason for the missing mopboards. First impressions are important. Perhaps a sign letting people know why would ease their minds.

We loved our stay!! We stayed Sunday-Monday right after the MEA weekend and were expecting some signs of wear from the busy weekend, but the hotel was spotless! Our room, the pool area and the lobby were white glove clean. Kudos to the cleaning staff!! Staff were great, the hotel is right on the water and the breakfast was great! We were already planning our trip back to stay here again before we left. Thanks Hampton Inn!!!

Not worth the money we paid to stay here. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable, hotel was loud. People running up and down the halls and talking at all hours of the night. Did not sleep much. I would not recommend staying here.

The whirlpool was amazing. The room we were in was clean and cozy. Our window was busted though! We had it open for a little bit and then it fell off and startled us. I'm not surprised it hadn't been fixed because it stays put if the lock is on. We were in room 313. Other than the window ordeal, this was a great location and had a great options for continental breakfast.

Paid four times as much as we should have for what I was expecting of a $522 double queen for one night. Clearly paid for the location as the hotel was run of the mill. The interior of the room was fine, but they should be embarrassed by the chairs. The two chairs looked to be from the 1970s at best. They were stained and massively uncomfortable. The rest of the room was a standard, comfortable room expected of a $100-$150 room. The rest of the charge is clearly being pocketed. Hopefully they are using the remaining ~$400 to pay their employees well and not just the corporate office.

Our only complaint was that the room was very muggy. We had the air on but it may shut off if you are gone all day. So upon returning it was always muggy and musty smelling. It would clear within a half hour or so. Great location. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and things to do within walking distance.

The first time we left the room we realized that the door did not latch and could be pushed open without the key card. The guy at the front desk came up quickly to show us how to work a door and found the door did not latch. He said he would send his maintenance person up, that did not happen before we left. The dead bolt did work for when we were in the room. I asked for a rate adjustment from the front desk person when we were checking out. She went to talk to someone and came back with a $50.00 Visa card and said that since we booked with a third party that was all they could do. I consider no lock on the door while I'm not in the room to be fairly major. No offer to change rooms or an apology and then a blow off $50.00 Visa Card, not great.

Facility is very convenient to access to anywhere. The lake view was pretty. The room was clean. No complain. Just wanted to withdraw one star was because of the staff. Nobody gave me any greeting, when checking in, passing by in front of the front desk, breakfast, hallway, checking out. Even once.

Love Hampton Inns. The good about this stay is the beds are so comfy and rooms are clean. Plus the breakfasts are great with hot choices, waffles, fresh fruit, real bakery donuts etc.. But this stay left us very disappointed on the customer service end. We got to the hotel early and got 2 rooms. We knew the rooms wouldn't be ready and they were to text us when they were cleaned. So we get a text for the first room. And never did get a text for the second room....,said they forgot. Then the room we got had wet carpet from the air conditioner to the bed. Something wrong with the air conditioner. So I went to the desk to change rooms but on the way passed the room cleaners and I mentioned it to one guy and he said it's just water ..so he new about it and it wasn't something to be bothered with? Front desk took care of us and switched rooms. But really not great service. And it wasn't busy. I expect better when you are paying $350 a night.

We arrived before checkin and were able to park the car and head out exploring. The property is right on the lake with a beautiful lounge/breakfast area overlooking the lake. Bottled water and coffee/tea were available all day. Loads of restaurants to walk to. Breakfast was good - the usual hotel breakfast. Room had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer and bath amenities. Property was clean and staff was efficient and friendly.

In town for the Festival of Sails so Canal Park was extremely busy. Hotel staff was accommodating and pleasant, the hotel was clean and very busy. Breakfast area was always neat even with heavy traffic. Our room with a view of Lake Superior was perfect.

The facility is right in the center of all of the things we planned to enjoy in Duluth, especially the canal harbor area. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and only took our car to remote attractions. We loved being right on the water, and when the weather was too cold to walk over to the harbor, we could watch ships approach from our hotel room window. We would highly recommend this hotel and plan to return.

This place had the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The view of the lake was great and the hotel room was quiet. They lock the doors at night because Duluth can be a little sketchy late at night, but that’s commentary for the city, not the hotel, and I appreciate their efforts to keep people safe. I wish we had stayed for longer.

The staff at this hotel is outstanding. The room was nice, bedding was great and the room was cozy. Negatives: Although I am grateful for the fact they accept dogs, there is no way my little girl could possibly cause $75 worth of damage. The flat fee for all dogs is excessive. I won't bring her there again. Get breakfast as early as possible. We got there at 9am and they were out of the hot items. Also they did not refrigerate the cream cheese and it was chunky in some areas and liquid in others. Last negative was big for us: we could hear everything in the room above us. For the price I expected to sleep well here but it was worse than the cheapest hotel on our trip. We could not sleep because the person or people staying above us were pacing around making the floor squeak and clunk all night. Just weird but it also tells me there is inadequate buffer between the floors. In all I would stay again but I won't bring my dog and pay $75 nor will I ever stay on the first floor, which we did because my youngest child had a knee injury and could not do stairs.
