The rooms are nice and updated. I like that there is no carpet, as it feels cleaner. Lots of renovation going on in the lobby area, which is good to see, but was the only inconvenience to our stay

The management was rude and when I asked them for more towels (right outside of me room) while she was standing next to the bin of clean towels, she said I am not cleaning and have no towels. I said "except for those right next to you?" The mirror had a sticker that said call for housekeeping or go to the front desk. I asked at 9am and they said I had to call the night before. Room was filthy. Hair and dirt everywhere. Toilet roll kept falling off the wall. Ice makers didnt work, shower didnt drain, so much dirt and hair in the bathroom. I usually love Hampton Inn but this is a dump!

safe and quiet, the property was under renovation at the time of my stay, which reduced some parking options. however the staff were professional and I was able to get a parking spot without much effort. a great stay for work

The property is centrally located to food and shopping, so this was a major plus. The property itself could use a DEEP clean! On our first day we had t be placed in a new room because the mold was so bad around the bathtub in the first room. The next room we received had an ant problem (discovered an hour after we got everything moved into this room). The front desk came up and sprayed Raid which led to son having an asthma attack because she sprayed the Raid into and around the air conditioning unit. My daughter was bitten on the face by one of the ants. They are under renovation and the second room we were placed in (the ant room) was supposedly one of their "newly renovated" rooms. The renovations are basically slapping a new coat of paint onto something that needs to be completely renovated. The bathtubs look as if they just re-caulked over mold, base boards are dirty, and rusted hooks in the bathroom. I would stay at this hotel ever again!

In Room 214 we could not get the tv remote to turn off the TV. Hubby checked for switches, buttons on the screen and Nope. We were problem solvers and unplugged the tv. Yes, we are “mature” but still IT professionals. LOL Everything was really nice in the room though. Breakfast was also good on 9/13. We like our stays at Hampton Inn

When we got to the room the lights over the bed tables and the phone did not work. Had to go down to the desk to report it. Took 30 min to throw a breaker to get things restored. Did not realize it was an ADA room. Low bed and very small shower were not good. Asked for clean towels the 2nd day. They never arrived. No call or anything. We gave up on trying. Don't believe we will stay at Hampton again!

I was in town for a new student orientation at UGA with my son. We stayed 2 nights. The front desk staff was friendly. My reasons for a 4 star instead of 5 may not be an issue for others. 1. Floors were not very clean. They looked like they had been swept, but my socks got pretty dirty when I walked in my socks. Usually, I have Crocs, but I forgot them for this trip. Everything else seemed clean. 2. We could hear EVERY sound in the hallway. Thankfully the hallway traffic quieted down around 11 so we could sleep. I did not hear the neighboring rooms or the floor above us. 3. They don't have individual complementary shampoo, conditioner, etc. They have a store-size bottle attached to the walls. Not a fan. Thankfully, I remembered my own, but we had to run to Target for my son. The complementary breakfast was good and typical of hotel breakfasts. The woman putting out the breakfast items was very friendly. We stayed at another hotel across the street (next to Longhorn) and the Hampton Inn was a better experience. We will return when visiting our UGA student.

The room was clean and comfortable but, there was some small things. 1. Why only one trash can in the room! 2. There were no chairs to sit in other than the desk chair, if you wanted to sit and relax, you had the choice of either sitting on the bed or sitting on the floor.

Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and attractive. Very nice big screen TV. Excellent breakfast. Check-in was a little slow—I was told it was shift change and they would be with me shortly. The two desk employees seemed to be trying to find a key card that another employee was supposed to leave. I had to wait about 10 minutes while they sorted things out. No big deal, really. Upon arrivial we were immediately asked to leave the lot because we were in a bus. we weren't welcomed or received, we were not even allowed to get a word in. We booked 11 rooms for the night, and in the property description did not specify busses weren't allowed. Given that the property might have that clause, we were not treated with respect, we were not given options, we were unceremoniously kicked out. Im sure they have cameras outside and they would show us arriving, being rudely asked to leave and us, seeing that we were not going to be able to reason with the manager, leaving. This happened in less than 5 minutes. We are a serious company and we do a lot of business with thw chain and Expedia, we avoid trouble and conflict as a principle, but the treatment we got from Hampton Inn Athens was appalling. To top it all off, no refund. So no, we did not have a pleasant experience.
