The only good thing about my stay was that the room was fairly clean. The carpet & windows were dirty. There were no amenities. There was no refrigerator, no microwave, no hair dryer in the room & the TV did not work. When I arrived, the front desk clerk was on the phone, talking in Spanish?, and completely ignored me. He didn't even look up & smile. I later saw he was in a wheelchair, not just sitting down, but that does not excuse his ignoring me. There were dogs in the Inn & barked at all hours. When my friend called the front desk & complained, they just hung up on her & nothing was done. There was very loud music being played in the parking lot. As you have probably noticed, I will never stay at a Red Roof Inn again!!!

I had stayed in this property in the past, but the state of the property has declined. Siding is falling off the building, exterior doors have paint missing, scratched off, grates for AC vents smashed in. Ice machine did not work. Interior room had scuffs on walls. A chair looked like it had been picked up at a garage sale. We had an accessible room which functioned but we had no counter space for toiletries etc nor table/desk inside room. The front desk people were nice and helpful. When we arrived we had no towels in our room. He apologized and quickly found us some. Access to the area is ok - our objective was Hersheypark. Rooms in Hershey proper are outrageous. It is fairly easy to drive from here to Hersheypark. There is an excellent restaurant across the street named Gilligan’s. We won’t stay here again, would stay in the area to eat there again. The Capitol Diner next door is pretty good too.

Toilet bowl runs water all day & night. Ice machine broke. Beds not made. I asked on 2nd day for towels, found towels hanging outside room on door handle. sink faucet loose. cabinet missing drawer. I cannot walk good I called and requested first floor room 3 days earlier and told room would be held for me on first floor level. The room (first floor) not available when arriving. I was given upgrade room and paid cash extra for upgrade room.

WORST hotel stay EVER! Very run down and dirty. Entire building/room and hallways smelled like smoke even though it’s supposed to be a non-smoking facility. Ice machine was broken so there was NO ice on 90-degree days. Stains on the room floor, the bed linens had stains as well as shower floor. At the end of first night the light above the bathroom sink stopped coming on. Shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed. Toilet seat broken. I would NEVER stay here again. Wish I had took pictures! Unbelievable. Pictures on the site have to be of another location.

The place is ran down and dirty! Dirty floors halls walls beds. Stinks of dogs and cigarettes. Trash piled in hallways and cans overflowing. Pile of dirty mattresses out back and a homeless camp next door. DO NOT RECOMMEND

The room was dirty. The blanket have burn hole and look dirty. The ac unit filled with dust and had a chicken bone in it. The fridge was dirty and the freezer was full of ice/frost with a water bottle stuck inside it. The shower curtain rod was broken and the shower curtain was gross. Was so filthy looks like has never been washed. both facecloths were dirty one of the bath towels was dirty. There was something nasty on the wall next to the toilet. Looks like they only clean the floor of the tub. Says smoke free on site but the cigarette smell was very over whelming. The hallway also smelled Like smoke and walls had holes in them and dirty and the fire alarm pull was just hanging off the wall. Looked like a dead cockroach on stairs and the light fixture was full of dust and dead bugs I had reserved for 2 nights but checked out in morning and told the men at desk the room was filthy and shower curtain rod was broken. They didn’t seam to care at and all just said to each other shower curtain rod was broken. Said nothing to me about my complaint. Would NEVER recommend this place.

There were multiple roaches in our bedroom, blood on the furniture, stains on the sheets. People playing outside of our hotel room at 12 am. The ac was over flowing in a bucket of water that spilled on to the floor. The bathroom, even the halls were disgusting. I couldn’t stay the night. I packed my 11 month old and my 4 year old and we had to hunt for another hotel at 12:45 am.

The place is a dump. Only thing good was linen & towels were clean and price was lowest in the area. Room smelled musty. Bathtub had mold. Last paint job splattered paint on floor. Paint was chipped and peeling in several places. Deadbolt for door between rooms was missing and the hole plugged with tissue paper. Peep hole in entry door was plugged with tissue paper. Bathroom floor was so dirty that black footprints from bare feet appeared on bathmat BEFORE stepping into shower. Soft Drink machine was empty. Even the hostess at the restaurant next door plus other travelers with past experience said not to stay there, so this place has a reputation, yet the local chamber of commerce and health department apparently don't know about it or look the other way. We stayed one night and went elsewhere for the next 5 days. The best thing that can happen to this place is to burn it down and start over.

We had dirty sheets. The microwave, in and around it was dirty and we had to wipe it out. The ac unit was dirty too in the vents we had to clean them. The area around the fridge was dirty. It smelled like cigarette smoke due to the designated smoking area underneath the hotel so we had to spray disinfectant/deodorizing spray. It was the worse hotel experience ever! Bed was dipped and hard. TV cable connection was broken. The halls were dirty and sticky. The trash cans were over flowing with garbage. When we arrived there were police outside canvassing the lot. It really is way too much to critique in this box, of how bad it was. We will NEVER stay there again.

This was the worst place to stay. $70 a night was too much. My room wasn’t cleaned. There were chicken nuggets in the microwave. The bathroom had blood on the toilet. The bedding was stained. The towels in the bathroom were folded neatly or hung up and when undone, they were also stained and dingy as well. It really was an unpleasant stay. The hallways and stairwells smelled and were filthy. I do not think the maids Wash or clean the rooms thoroughly.

Unfortunately the very limited expectations I had for the property were by and large unmet. I did not expect a lot for a budget inn, but I did expect cleanliness and safety. When we arrived there were crumbs in multiple layers of the beds, stains and rips on the bedding. We ended up buying our own bedding and when we put it on we saw chewed gum, old food and trash, and broken glass around the bed frames on the floor. The room smelled strongly of stale smoke and the property in general smelled worse, particularly the stairwells and hallways. The air conditioning is cold the doors lock, so there are a couple things going for it. I will not stay again, and I recommend against it for others.

Do not fall for the pictures for this place. They were obviously either taken when brand new or photo shopped. I stayed in a "smoke free" room that reeked of cigs. Bathroom door had no locks and did not shut without tackling it. Place was dingy and dirty, my pillow had mold on it. My mattress was a very old deformed spring mattress. At night I could hear other residents fighting and screaming with each other. This isnt a safe place to go.

If you book here, take a room closer to the lobby as the back half of the property houses full time residents who like to talk very loudly until 4am. I personally wouldn’t stay there again for that reason alone. Other than that it’s a 2/3 star rating and good for a nite.

clientele out front people were loud until after 11:30p and then they were early in the morning just talking right outside our door all morning we couldn’t sleep. People were just loud. The room had a terrible stale cigarette smoke type smell. Could use some upgrades.

The staff are very friendly and responsive; they helped with all my questions. But the building itself and what’s inside is a nightmare! It’s not worth $70 a night. The first thing I noticed when I entered the room was a sharp smell of bleach that couldn't be aired out. Cockroaches and spiders are everywhere; they don’t even hide. I had a bag sitting there, and they crawled inside, so I had to shake it out. The toilet is dirty, and I didn’t even use the shower—it’s scary... The bathroom door looks battered; it's unclear what happened there. Every little noise from the neighbors is audible. The bed linens might be clean, but everything is stained and ingrained. I recommend renting this hotel only if everything else is booked and it's your only option.

Booked through expedia a room with 2 double bedsfor 3 adults. Was given a room with a king, went back to front desk, no rooms with double beds available so we got a refund and went to a hotel down the street. This place was not inviting or friendly, dirty and is definitely not as advertised! I'm kind of glad we weren't able to stay here.

I cannot stress enough that this dump is a hell hole. If you value your life do not even consider staying here. I thought it was the hotel we’d stayed at before so I didn’t read the reviews, definitely a bad mistake on my part. I did not enjoy the unclean bathroom nor the roaches I killed during the night and the morning. There are people living here and it’s way past sketchy. Our door had obvious damage from someone before us and it wasn’t the only door like that. The AC sounded like a plane taking off and landing along with other indescribable noises. The worst part was opening the door this morning to a domestic violence situation going on just a few doors down. The guy kept threatening to shoot the woman and some actual beating g went on in the hall. I went down and talked to the management. They did not care and told me basically that it happens with them all the time in the two weeks they’d been living there. Then they said he was a nice guy. I go back upstairs and it is worse. We called the police and by this time several others were out in the hall worried and concerned. I lost track of how many times he threatened to shoot her and the place up. We grabbed our stuff and checked out and left. The cops came before we left thankfully. I took pictures of our room and the dead roaches. This place is only for the desperate and the druggies. Never ever again!

First time I ever left a hotel/motel that I booked without staying overnight. Dirty and felt unsafe. Despite being marked as smoke free room, the room had an extremely strong cigarette smell. The staff was fine (no complaints) and stated we would get refunded, although it is too soon to tell if I will actually receive refund.

It really is a terrible place and nothing like the pictures on the website. Very dirty and smells very bad. I showed up with a confirmed booking and was told no room is available. Then eventually the staff gave me a room key and when I went to the room someone was staying there. Excuse given yo me was that “someone forgot to update the computer”. Properties like these should not be on the Orbitz platform. I have been a user of this platform for 10 years but will really think twice before using Orbitz again.

The area itself seemed sketchy. I did like that they were kid and dog friendly. The room itself was clean but the ac barely worked and the towels were very old. The parking area could of used a bit of cleaning up. If you need towels or clean sheets they average a whole day to get it back to you. But they didn't include washcloths or pillowcases in the return. The beds were comfortable. There isnt much close by for food. A dollar store and dominos a couple mins down the road. Staff were friendly. Overall its not to bad i just didn't care for the area. Hopefully they get the ac going right and perhaps quicker with the linens. The ice machine was out of order during our stay too.

When I showed up I found they had me booked for the night before. They wanted to charge 25 dollars extra for the room because of a rate change. While sitting in my car trying to solve the problem kids were wrestling on my car and dented to fender. I was surrounded by residents that I believe were permanent and made me feel unsafe. I lost 69.00 on this deal. Don't go here.

We did not go to check in. People were hanging around smoking and all sorts. The environment was not healthy enough for the kids. We went somewhere else instead, though we lost the money paid, but we were well rested elsewhere.

I did not stay at the property because I drove up to see numerous piles of trash and cigarette butts, torn curtains in the windows and sketchy men walking around the parking lot. Men had their doors open and were lying on their beds in their underwear. I felt that it was too unsafe for me to stay there as a woman. I will not be booking through Expedia again as I feel that the ratings did not come close to reflecting the actual quality of the motel.

The pictures are not even close to what this place looks like. It was filthy, trash everywhere outside, some of the room windows were busted out, the dumpster was overflowing, people outside hanging out drinking and smoking. The stairs had smeared dog feces on it.
