None of the ice machines worked. I have stayed here every year to facilitate the State Track Meet. It was an inconvenience when I have to stop each morning at a gas station to get ice. The front desk did not have an answer on why there was no ice in the machines.

If you like extra firm beds this is the place for you. If you require anything softer than concrete you’ll not sleep very well. Breakfast was nice, hotel was clean & tidy. The pool was sparkling clean with towels easily accessible. The property was well maintained. For an older hotel you can tell it’s been maintained and updated as needed. Overall I would recommend if you are ok with extra firm mattress.

Marvelous pillows and great WiFi at a decent 2-star hotel with a good price to match. The public areas are tired (old tile, grungy elevators) and need an update. The ice machine wasn't working on the 3rd floor so I had to go to 4. Decent breakfast. But the staff are marvelous.

We like staying here except for the train. Also this time there was no ice machine on the 2nd floor. When we stay next time we will confirm at checkin that there is an ice machine on the floor we get assigned and also get a room with an odd number so we are not on the side with the train tracks.

They upgraded room because it looked like our deadbolt wasn’t working properly is the reason we give it a 2. The breakfast wasn’t good, don’t know how you can mess up eggs and biscuits but they did it well. The hotel is next to a train track that wakes you up every couple hours during the night

The property is really close the The Domain area, main rrason for me staying there, was meeting uo with friends. The trainyracks are really close by so you willbhear some trains coming thru. The wifi says it was connected but it was blocking any internet access and wasnt receiving any wifi calls and the place is not in a good 5g area so teception was shotty at best. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, had a king suit which offered olenty of room. Shower and other restroom facilities worked great. Inaide the hotel it was quiet.

I stayed at the Fairfield it is really close to the office. I did not get good sleep as the room kept switching between too hot and too cold. My colleagues on the other side could not sleep because of the train rumbling The service desk was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was also good but not getting good sleep will make me look for a different property next time.

Hotel is directly next to the train tracks. I could hear freight trains all night long. Hotel room is definitely showing age. Needs a good update and thorough cleaning.

I like the free breakfast at this hotel. The room was fine too but had to pay a higher price since it was the weekend where tourists came to watch the full solar eclipse in Austin. What did I not like? I didn’t know that they only clean every 2 days. When we were done for the day, I was surprised our room was not cleaned. I checked with receptionist and he said they only clean every 2 days. Ok I was not aware of that and every hotel I stayed in many years clean daily and replace our towels. Guess for future stays, I’ll need to research if this is the case before reserving a room.

Good room, Jay at front desk was super helpful and friendly. Our only issues were that our room was not cleaned or checked for need of new towels. Also no fan in bathroom. It was nice property and very quiet.

I booked this hotel through expedia. Expedia gave me a set rate I was going to pay. When I went to check in the receptionist told me I was going to have to pay a parking fee. No where when I booked through expedia did it state parking fees applied. Watch out because the train passes through the back of hotel and its rather loud. I will not stay at this hotel again.

A little tricky to find, this is actually a bit of a hidden gem. You CANNOT walk to the domain, but its just around the corner from the best place to park for it. Staff was more than helpful. Great all around.

Comfortable, close to everything in the Domain area, but a little off the beaten path--lots of U-turns under Loop 1. Would be walking distance to Domain, except for that darn railroad track. You WILL hear a few trains, but pass quickly. Would stay again

It was comfortable and everything was clean our room had 2 televisions and I loved it one for me and one for my Mom. This is one of my favorite hotels. They always have a good traditional breakfast with real food like eggs, back, waffles, coffee.

I was a bit disappointed with rhe facility. The last time i stayed at a Farifield it was much nicer. The carpet in the entire hotel was old and smelly. Breakfast sausages looked like they were boiled instead of pan fry. Even the scrambled eggs tasted like they were boiled.

This hotel is not worth the money you pay. The first room I had,the sofa mattress had blood stains and o don’t want to know what else,I took pictures of it and I went to the front office,they changed the room immediately. Breakfast is very limited,no waffles,bacon or pancakes. Employees are very nice and friendly,but honestly since is part of Marriott I thought this hotel was gonna be nicer,is run down ,dirty and needs to be updated asap. First and last time staying here.😒
