I booked at this hotel for the POOL. The pool was out of order my entire stay. I was told they were working on it, but I never saw anyone actively working on it. When I went back and read reviews, looks like its been out of order for several weeks. I feel like that should have been indicated somewhere if the first pic shows the pool. Beyond that, the first room smelled like skunk. The second room smelled like mildew but I was too tired to switch again bc it was on the 5th floor and I had to request 3 different keys before one opened the door. The shower had mold. The AC was inadequate for the 102 deg Austin heat. The rooms are only cleaned every 3 days. So ask for additional towels prior if you need them. They start clearing breakfast Before 9 am, so get downstairs before 8:30 am. On the plus side, the front desk staff was very nice, very friendly and helpful (within their means). No attitudes from anyone!

This hotel has been around for a while and it shows. Walking into the hotel you are met by a faint sewage smell in the parking lot, broken sliding front doors off their tracks, but the main lobby area is nice, open, and inviting. Staff is friendly and welcoming, had no issues accommodating my request for a top floor room to avoid extra noise. If you are afraid of elevators then I would advise to take the stairs. The elevator was noisy, jerky, looked older than the hotel, was dirty and had a faint smell of pee. Upstairs the hallway was super hot and muggy, no big deal because I wasn’t staying in the hallway. The rooms are very big and plenty of space to be had for work trips. The fridge didn’t get very cold even on “Max” setting, no biggie because I just had drinks in there. I must have gotten a room that hadn’t been used in a while as there was a giant dead cockroach on the floor next to the desk and another dead cockroach on the rim of the bathtub next to the toilet. The air conditioner had a nice coating of mold on it, the air deflector to push air into the room was causing condensation which appeared to drip back onto the face of the AC. Otherwise bed was comfortable and clean, pillows were standard hotel pillows, it was quiet, TV worked good, and bathrooms were nice. The provided hotel soap bars were weird and smelled like wet cardboard (I have my own soap but use hotel stuff for hand washing). Pool was a green sludge, no need to bring swim trunks.

Convenient to the airport, but condition was lacking. The outside door by my room does not close, so anyone can enter without a key. Bathroom tub was rusty and just didn’t feel clean. I found out the day of arrival that the elevators were not working.

It’s the details this hotel falls short on. Elevator is not clean and it stop working for a while during our stay. The bed was really uncomfortable for my fiancé who has chronic back pain. They serve powered eggs for breakfast, And the pool stayed out of commission. So you clear get what you pay for.

I’m really sad! We have never stayed in a bad La Quinta. We even stayed at this one two years ago and it was nice. The room wasn’t very clean. The bathroom doors were warped and didn’t shut. The bathtub was disgusting. Hallway carpets weren’t vacuum vacuumed. And the elevator was in terrible shape.

The hotel on the 2nd floor was quiet. However, the air conditioner was leaking water into the room and the carpet was wet in 1/4 of the room adjacent to the unit. The room showed iits age and the elevator was dingy with carpet missing on the area next to the door of same. Additionally, the card key for the room was malfunctioning 60% of the time. Big departure from the quality experience of a few years ago.

The breakfast was not good--powered eggs, greasy sausage patties and one of the waffle irons overcooks the waffle. The bed was not very comfortable and the shower had prior guests' hair in it. You can also see the stains on the carpeting, where dogs have clearly done their business. The elevator was filthy and worn-looking and when getting off of it on the 1st floor, there was a piece of flooring missing. The property needs upkeep, as a whole!

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever booked. The elevator was broken and had to hike 5 flights with our bags. They didn’t have the right size room for our family even though we booked it ahead of time. And they had one way to fix it. There were cockroaches everywhere. Ceiling was falling in and full of mold. And the room smelled terrible. It was so bad we left and booked a different hotel. The only positive was they let us cancel our stay.

The amount of homeless laying in their lawns and in the parking lot was sad to see. So many. Not the hotels fault, but we noticed the lower quality hotels had more issue of it. Austin, by the airport, is sad. This property also smelled bad (old musty, cigarette cover up, and just not pleasant). The room had many broken pieces and the bathroom was dirty (hair clogged drain.) Glad we only had to stay in it less than 10 hours.

I have stayed in several La Quinta Inn, this one is one of the worst, The elevator is in poor condition and the Room doors have gaps around the doors from a 1/2 inch and bigger which in turn you hear everything happening in the hallway. most of the doors seem like they been kick at one point or another. Will not stay there again.

The staff was very kind and helpful no complaints at all. The outside of the property is well kept. Unfortunately, the rooms seemed unkept. The pillows and bed were lumpy, the ac was very loud and let out an ammonia like odor every time.

The hotel was nice, you can tell it's older and that they have remodeled it but it looks nice. The elevator was broken for the top floor which I was staying on so I would have to take it up to the 3rd floor(I was on the 4th) and then go all the way down the hall to the stairs and walk up the stairs the rest of the way. The elevator was very old and definitely felt a little sketchy but it ended up okay. I didn't use the pool or the fitness center and I didn't ask the front desk for anything. The room was very clean and nice and didn't have any weird stains or smells at all. The shower worked fine and the bathroom was nice, plenty of quick hot water. My only complain is that the rooms have a lot of outside noise. The hallways were one thing but especially from the outside. It is very close to the airport so of course there are lots of planes coming in and out but the roads around It are very noisy. 3 stars overall, great for a budget stay, would stay again.

The room had a smell when I walked in and during my stay. They didn’t offer any water nor toothpaste/brush at the front desk. There was 2 separate instances where the key would not work(had to go to the front desk, fast and easy fix). AC was not cooling properly, although filter looked clean.

My room on 5th floor had constan loud vibrating noise that ounded like jack hammers. I didn't even hear the airplane noise, but this noise never stopped. Called front desk but there was no other rooms available to relocate me, nor maintenence person on sight. I had to put my ear buds on to sleep.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel. The room we got the second time wasn't as nice as the 1st. The door looked like someone had kicked it at some point. The mattress in the sofabed was not only soiled but ripped. You could literally see the coils. When i mentioned it to someone at the front desk, she seemed shocked and said no one else had pointed it out. They did not send up a new mattress or offer to switch us out to another room. Also, when i couldnt find the linens for the sofabed i called the front desk and the woman was a bit sarcastic in answering my question. She's the heavyset blonde. The day I arrived she was arguing with another guest. She seems confrontational. Seems like she needs to work on her customer service skills. Breakfast was good.

Upon arrival the front desk clerk told me that the elevator was out of service on the side my room was on. She also mentioned that I would need to take another elevator on the opposite of the hotel then walk over the bridge and walk up stairs to my room. She told me that they had suites available but I would have to pay. Which I thought was unacceptable she then proceeded to tell me that she didn’t tell me that I have to pay but I free to get a room somewhere else. I told the clerk that I was a disabled vet and could not walk up the stairs. She said there was nothing she could do. I proceeded to take a seat to contact customer service. She saw that I was not engaging with her and then I overheard her telling another employee to check to see if a room was available. I then heard the clerk tell her that she been told her that it was ready. That was the room I ended up staying in.

Check-in was frustrating, the staff member was too busy doing homework to assist us, and someone else had to step in. The cleaning lady rushed us out of our room without cause, didn’t provide clean towels, and even left our door open, which felt very unsafe. When we reported it, the front desk brushed it off, saying we were probably mistaken for checking out, even though our belongings were still there. The breakfast was okay, but overall, customer service was terrible and the rooms were outdated. Unfortunately, this seems consistent with other reviews.

The hotel has an amazing staff. I needed to get to the airport to retrieve a lost bag and Sarah got me checked in quickly. I needed to drop my luggage in my room, but, the keys didnt work. Sarah, took my luggage and stored it until i returned. Cant thank her enough. When i returned, new keys had been issued, but, those also didnt work. She called maintenance who was at my room in a flash and got me into my room. He then swapped out the card reader while i got settled in after a very long day. The dining area and libby are very clean, however all other areas are run down and dirty. The carpets are torn in the area in front of the elevators. The elevators are quite dirty and the carpets stained down the hallways. Once entering my room, i was quite impressed with its cleanliness. My stay was comfortable and they provide a nice hot breakfast. With a bit of attention to the common areas this would be a great property to stay in. Overall, i wasn't unhappy with my stay, but, the property does need to be spruced up.

The place is nice, nothing out of the ordinary. It was clean, rooms and beds are comfortable (which is the most important thing to me) The only "negative" points for me were breakfast options...very limited and the Elevators, one wasn't working and the other looked like a 'freight' elevator, very old and noisy, I was scared it would break at any moment. Good thing it was only 4 stories height. Location is convenient (access to highways) but not many food options around.

The rating speaks for itself. It’s far from downtown. There are cheaper places closer to downtown. Breakfast was great and there is a Starbucks across the street. Rooms are set up to connect so if you have a noisy neighbor it will be heard under the door.

I had to grab the shuttle to the airport at 6:00 a.m. The hotel shuttle driver asked the lady that brings out the breakfast food to boil the kettle. I waited over 10 minutes and although she was reminded twice, she still never came through. I left without a coffee because I like it watered down.

One thing about this property is when you walk into the lobby of the hotel is decor, is so nice and inside the individual rooms are decent too and clean, but the hotel itself, on the different floors in needs a deep cleaning, as well as the walls, elevator. The breakfast items were good.

The breakfast was not good at all. Eggs were cold first day no meat for the breakfast. You do better go next-door to Denny’s. The elevators sound as if they were going to break it was a lot of noise on the other hand. The staff was really nice.

The hotel looks great until you really oay attention. Whether it’s the carpet coming up as you enter the elevator almost causing you to trip, to the dirt/sooot collection above the vent in my room causing concern for the cleanliness. Little details Breakfast only had sausage on the weekend. No chocolate milk. Coffee was weak. No sugar substitutes like stevia, only the pink and yellow packets. No non dairy creamer, had to walk across the street for Starbucks multiple times. Music in the main foyer was kind of loud, day and night. Suite had no privacy, as door closures were pure glass. Sofa sleeper was on its last legs, and the springs were sticking out. I would stay there again, however I’d ask for something away from the foyer, and I’d bring a thick mattress pad for the sofa sleeper.
