Water was brown coming out of the faucet. Elevator was scary going from floor to floor. Ice machines do not work. First floor is under renovation. The place smells like curry as someone is living there at the hotel. Missing TV remote. USB chargers do not work. I could go on but this is enough. Demanded refund and went to another establishment.

Entire property is under construction, thick layer of drywall dust on all surfaces and paint footsteps everywhere. The breakfast area is closed as are both pools and hot tub, and the rooms are small with worn out mattresses. After having an asthma attack minutes after getting to our room from the conditions, they offered a full refund so we could go elsewhere, only to change their mind the next day and refuse to refund for the room we wound up not using. There was no prior notice about the condition of the property either.

They claim it is under construction, but none is going on and they don't tell you in the listing, The pool is closed. The property is a construction site with no lobby. I would not stay here again. I got their with kids and they refused to refund.

The staff was friendly but the current condition of the property is under construction. The entire first floor including lobby is being worked on. It seems the hotel will be better in the future. Only ice machines working currently are on the 1st and 4th floor. No fitness area or pool at this time.

Hotel is undergoing renovations but the outside also looks terrible. I actually wondered if it was operational. Construction supplies outside and in lobby. Workers are also using the only elevator. My room was finished but still not great. Very nice staff at front desk.

A/C did not work. Room was full of ants. Breakfast area full of ants (in the syrup even). Broken TV remote. Burned out light bulbs. Broken ice machine. Entire floor smelled like curry or something similar. VERY noisy since the building is right up against I-70. It was a poor experience, but the workers were polite.

I got several bedbug bites but didn’t notice until I checked out and was back on the road. They denied the whole thing! I had to undress in my backyard, but a bunch of bombs for car, throw away several items, buy meds for the allergic reaction to bites, spend hours washing and drying my clothes and can’t stop freaking out about the bugs. I don’t think they refunded my money or compensated me with a free motel stay, either. Is it legal for them to ignore the bugs?

Our room was filthy and had ants crawling in the bathroom. We brought it to the attention of the staff but we’re told that they couldn’t do anything for us because we booked through Hotels.com. My wife tried to call yesterday, after we returned home, and was basically told that hotels.com couldn’t do anything for us. Due to the high demand for rooms in Columbia, MO this past weekend we paid over $350 for this room and basically wasted it.

The hotel needs serious attention from the management: the carpet on the stairs is dirty with big stains and is worn out. Rooms have ants and possibly bed bugs. I have taken photos of the carpet and of ants, as well as photos of myself showing bug bites that I saw a couple of hours ago. That is terrible! The front desk staff are nice and try to help, but the problem is more than they can handle.

*** I should preface this by saying I don't recall ever writing a review, but this warranted one. https://youtu.be/ZlW5bKCH8u4 I stayed in room 312 6/21-6/22. The carpet is damp and the room smelled of somethign like wet dog. I woke up to ants in and all over the bed, on the floors, the counters the bathroom vanity and surrounding the HVAC unit. Please watch the video. I went to the front desk, the room was inspected, a report was made and they told me to contact the manager, Hally, for a refund, which I did. This hotel is under major construction and should not be operating. It's a complete dump. When I pulled into the parking lot I actually assumed I was at the wrong place. The office behind the check in is absoloutely filthy. I would not even consider eating from the breakfast due to the conditions of my room. I would strongly advise you to stay somewhere else as there are many options in Columbia. Hally has been unresponsive for the past week.

We booked this hotel on a cross country trip based on location and 8.0 rating on Expedia. Check-in was fine but not very friendly or welcoming, but everything was ready for us upon arrival. Nothing appeared to be overly clean. Hallways were dirty and a looked like the hadn’t been swept or mopped in some time. Our room was on the interstate side and I was extremely noisy throughout our stay. I think the rating should be closer to 6.5.

They are in the middle of a renovation. We were not told that ahead of time. The sound of saws and drills made staying in the room for any extended period of time unpleasant. There was a grandmother who attended to the breakfast area who was particularly grumpy and unfriendly. The breakfast itself was the same food for 5 days in a row ... and not good. Because of the renovation, a discount should have been given. Instead, the price went UP over the weekend. We will not be back.

I had a great stay. The person at the desk was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and good sized. There was a family with small kids in the room next door. I could hear them while standing in the hall, but I was so impressed with how quiet the room was. Overall, I was pleased with the value. I would stay there again.

No help at all. Also, each ice machine was inoperable on every floor except the one of the bottom floor which was behind closed doors due to the remodel. Breakfast was adequate but every employee I encountered seemed sullen and did not seem to care if I was there or not. If we travel to Columbia, MO, again, I will choose another hotel.

Could walk to the city park and around the large cemetery. Lots of parking Quiet and pleasant facility Somewhat difficult to reach location because of round-a-bouts and odd newish traffic patterns, but these can be mastered in the daylight when one can see the patterns. Convenient to the west side of town and mall unlike the places to stay on the far east side of town. Did not check out the pool.

We booked this hotel on a cross country trip based on location and 8.0 rating on Expedia. Check-in was fine but not very friendly or welcoming, but everything was ready for us upon arrival. Nothing appeared to be overly clean. Hallways were dirty and a looked like the hadn’t been swept or mopped in some time. Our room was on the interstate side and I was extremely noisy throughout our stay. I think the rating should be closer to 6.5.

They are in the middle of a renovation. We were not told that ahead of time. The sound of saws and drills made staying in the room for any extended period of time unpleasant. There was a grandmother who attended to the breakfast area who was particularly grumpy and unfriendly. The breakfast itself was the same food for 5 days in a row ... and not good. Because of the renovation, a discount should have been given. Instead, the price went UP over the weekend. We will not be back.

Every day after eating shoes were sticky from dirty floors. Breakfast tables not clean and had to clean before sitting down. Servers did not speak English so had to get front desk person to translate.

A/C did not work. Room was full of ants. Breakfast area full of ants (in the syrup even). Broken TV remote. Burned out light bulbs. Broken ice machine. Entire floor smelled like curry or something similar. VERY noisy since the building is right up against I-70. It was a poor experience, but the workers were polite.

beware of this hotel! It is under construction. There is drywall dust everywhere. The lobby was empty. They served breakfast and the tables, chairs, window sills were covered in white dust.

When I checked in I was asking why it was not disclosed that the property was under construction? The front desk person told me well, it's not going to bother you because you will be sleeping! The lobby was piled ceiling high with mattresses and shipping boxes from China. There were a big gaping hole in the roof of the carport ... I'm quite literally surprised that they were allowed to be open. First night (Friday) they were drilling at 9:21PM on the floor under where I stayed. They did come in my room during my stay but did not make the beds or change the towels so I am not sure what they did there. Breakfast was from 6-9AM EVEN on a weekend, i came down a little bit after 9 AM on Sunday and the drinkbar was locked and so was the are where they kept yogurt. The lunchroom was also full of big boxes with Chinese writing on them piled up around the walls in the eating area. It was a horrible experience and I will never stay there again. I was not the only Mizzou mom/parent who stayed there that weekend and we all had the same experience.

Some maintenance is needed. In our room, the bathroom door wouldn't close, the A/C smelled pretty bad (like the filters need to be changed) and the ice machine didn't work. And the room across the hall had a barking dog.

Cleanliness level was disappointing. Weird chemical smell emanating and lots of visible grime in bathtub , on walls and even the shower curtain and shampoo bottles. I wondered if it had even been cleaned prior to our stay. Sheets appeared clean , but overall property felt grimy and dingy.
