We did not find this property to be at the expected standard for a Doubletree as the standard of the cleanliness was surprisingly bad. The worst was the pool, I had a swim and regretted it as the black scum around the tiling on the pool was so bad that other guests had scratched their initials into it, and that was all the way around the pool! Who knows how long ago the pool had been properly cleaned. The doubletree auditor’s need to review this facility asap.

The room was perfectly adequate for the rate we got on Expedia. Beware if using the free shuttle you need to know exact address of the hotel as there are 2 doubletree hiltons and the drivers were rushed and unhelpful. Also 6am shuttle couldn’t handle all the people waiting to get to the airport so we had to take an uber.

Our room was not fully cleaned. We found trash and a cell phone. Then we used the pool to find a rim of grime around the edge that has been there so long, that guest etch their names in it with their finger nails! GROSS!

We waited more than an hour for the shuttle from Newark on a Sunday evening. Some people had been waiting longer. We called the hotel several times and each time they said it would be 10 minutes. One person (who turned out to be the manager on duty) actually hung up on my wife. When the shuttle finally arrived, the driver told everyone that we shouldn’t be making such a big deal! He told us that he had to prioritize picking up crew and yhay we should complain to the hotel so that they’d add another shuttle! We finally got to our room at 12.30am having landed at 10.00! Beware!!

This hotel made about 10 people wait for one and half hours. Several people who were waiting in the airport called multiple times. Each time they were told the shuttle would show up in 10-15 minutes. Once we all got there, the manager did not apologize or try to be comforting. She just acted like it was all right. The hotel is old and the halls and rooms smell like mildew. Try to find a better place.

If you are staying below probably the 6th floor or so you have a chance of being placed on the lobby side which is the loudest room in a hotel I have ever had the displeasure of sleeping at. When we walked in, it was mostly clean and fine, however there was a chaise lounge featured in the room that definitely was used for “adult activities” with stains left behind. Disgusting. Not only that, their parking gate broke multiple times during our 3 day stay, and no attendants were around to assist. No one answered the phone. We were told to literally just park on the side of a highway until it was fixed, we hadn’t even checked in yet at that point. Just not a solution. And this hotel has an insane deposit of $75 a night! I have never put that much of a deposit down for a hotel of this caliber. I have done like $50 - $100 total. It’s an airport hotel. It’s a cheap hotel. The lobby is nice but the pool was DISGUSTING and looks like it never got cleaned. The walls of it had literal brown residue. Also the pool supposedly closed at 8 pm but every night they let families with children be running around there until after 10 pm. Our room was RIGHT outside the pool because the pool is IN THE LOBBY FOR SOME REASON? Just a weirdly designed hotel with not enough staff to actually take care of the hotel or enforce rules that we are all told upon checkin. It was fine for the price and last minute accommodation I needed but it was definitely not the best. At least the area was safe.

Had to stay here due to our flight being cancelled. The room was VERY dirty. Thick dust everywhere, worn and stained bedding, left over personal belongings from the previous stay, zero service at the restaurant downstairs, large amount of noise all night long in the lobby. This place was straight ghetto and I am ashamed I put my family through this.

The hotel charges for every thing- parking and breakfast is not included. Parking is an additional 33/night and breakfast is 29 per person. The room was spacious but the bathroom was very small. The door would open and be an inch away from hitting the toilet. The shower would leak into the floor. The air vent had mold. The housecleaning would not clean. Trash would be left in the trashcan. There was no microwave only a minifridge that did not work. We had milk for our child and it went sour after use.

Upon check-in, I notified the front desk of stained sheets on both beds as well as hair as if the sheets hadn’t been changed. Fridge on the floor and overall the room look like it could use a serious paint job decor, very ragged and a lot of chipped paint not worth $200 per night at all.

The lobby, conference rooms and restaurants are all updated and decent, but my room (422) was crazy outdated, especially the bathroom. Lots of rusting, paint chipping and also there was a roach in the room upon arrival. I knew the hotel was fully booked, so I didn’t bother going to see about changing my room. I dealt, but so was not expecting such unkept conditions with this property. Major let down!

I was surprised with how old the room seemed to me, and how not very attractive it was. There was no water bottle to greet me, and the freezer was empty. It felt very very basic. the bed was comfortable and clean. Several outlets in the room did not work at all. The bathroom was miniscule. Honestly I was expecting more from a DoubleTree. Let's say it was clean enough. No frills. Nothing extra. Nothing special or memorable. Old room.

The room was not bad, the bed was really comfortable. My only complaints are that the black out curtain in my room was broken on one side and would let light in when trying to sleep. And then the air conditioning isn't the best, it gets comfortable in the room but not the temperature you set the thermostat at. We had to set it to 60 and were still sweating at night.

This hotel was a complete disaster. Nothing worked, and the front desk staff were unbelievably rude. We arrived at midnight to check in, and instead of giving us our room, they put us on a shuttle to another hotel because of their internal problem. They told us to come back the next morning since we had more than one night booked at DoubleTree. But when we called them in the morning to get a ride back, they refused to send us a shuttle. We had to take a taxi on our own with 4 suitcases and 2 backpacks. After waiting until 4 AM to finally get into a room, they also lied about covering the extra costs — we ended up paying more for their mistake. We were kicked out, treated horribly, and left exhausted in the middle of the night. This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life.

From the check in process to checking out was an awful experience. $75 to park, having a $150 hold on my account (which was not listed/included while I was booking), the staff were less than friendly. My boyfriend and I were waiting at the bar/“restaurant” area while waiting for our room to be ready. There was 1 server/bartender for about 30 people, we waited 20 minutes to be greeted. Overall, just not an experience I was expecting for the price I paid.

Check-in took 45 minutes in line and only 1 worker for all the line , The room smelled like marijuana, and the door locks were broken. They changed my room, but it wasn’t the same type — it looked older and poorly maintained. The windows were dirty, and overall the place felt neglected. It was very disappointing. This isn’t my first time staying at a Hilton property, but the experience at this hotel was definitely unpleasant. We also had an issue with parking — even though you have to pay to have a spot, when we returned to the hotel the parking lot was full, and people were parking on the grass and in the middle of the street. It was a total mess with zero organization or care.

I've been staying at this hotel for the past 5 months 2 nights per week. I always book a room on the 12th floor as it is considered their best and most expensive rooms.What sets them apart from the rest of floors is that the tv is a little bigger,at times the pillows are king size vs queen and they(at times) provide 2 bottles of water. Over these months Ive experienced no hot water to shower with on 2 different occasions, no bottles of water several times, queen sized pillows, missing shower products like shampoo and body wash. Carpets that although are vacuumed regularly could use replacement due to the ground in dirt. While I can put up with the above,other than the no hot water, what I can't stand about this hotel is that lately they're way understaffed regarding check in and it's a situation that has no gotten even worse since they've now initiated separate check in for "Diamond " members and the rest of the world. Diamond members are given priority over anyone else when checking in. Perfect example is my experience this week. There were 7-8 Diamond members and 4-5 regular guests waiting for check in by the ONE person manning the counter. I was the first person in line in the "Regular" guests line. One by one the Diamond members were being checked in with more getting on line and all the while I was being bypassed. FINALLY the manager appears and ra the than check in a "Regular" or even a Diamond member he checking in a pilot and copilot that had just entered

Maid didn't make our room at all during a two nights stay. I didn't put the sign do not disturb if you are curious why?. I called and asked for coffee cups since they only gave me 2 cups during my stay. They said they will have someone bring it to my room but it never happened. For $2xx per night I expected higher standards of service. Parking is $25 per day but the lot was full. They need to prioritize guests first not anybody!!!!

We booked this hotel as part of a longer trip. Our flight was delayed and eventually canceled, so we called the hotel in advance to let them know we would be arriving late. The following morning, while driving to the hotel, we called again and were told our reservation had automatically been canceled because we had not checked in by midnight. This situation was very disappointing. Despite notifying the property ahead of time, we were left without our original reservation and had to secure a new one upon arrival. Neither the hotel nor the booking service was willing to provide a resolution, which felt frustrating and unsupportive. This has genuinely been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that no one seemed informed or prepared to handle basic issues. I originally booked a king suite but was assigned a room with double beds — which I was willing to overlook — but the real problem was that the room didn’t have suite access at all. I called the front desk multiple times with no answer, so I had to go back downstairs just to report the issue. Even then, the front desk wasn’t able to help. Because I was pressed for time, I was told to return in an hour so they could correct the issue. When I came back almost two hours later, nothing had been resolved. The associate who promised to escalate the situation had already left for the day and hadn’t passed any information to a supervisor. I was forced to start the entire process over with a new employee, losing another 45 to 55 minutes just trying to get a room I had already paid for. To make things worse, I was later told that the room I had originally been assigned hadn’t had suite access for months. On top of that, we had to move all of our bags to a new room ourselves because no assistance was provided. The delays and disorganization completely derailed a child’s birthday celebration and caused us to miss pool access — a major reason we booked this hotel in the first place. And as if that wasn’t enough, we couldn’t even get extra towels or blankets during our stay. Overall, it was a terrible experience

Although our arrival was late, the team made her an hour reservation in a fast and expedient manner. They even provided some extra support for our trip, knowing that it had been a long journey to get to them due to delays at the airport. I would highly recommend this location for ease of access to Newark airport and a wonderful beautiful stay.

The room was spacious and well appointed but th bathroom could use refurbishment as the cabinet paint was chipping. I feel that there is a need for additional breakfast venue offerings as the buffet was expensive and the. Food was not the best.

Hotel navette to C4 then Sky train to grabe train to Pen station Manhatan super good. 45min. Gym and Pool very nice and hotel lobby suoer comfort areas and large. They free take your lougage in arrival and departure. Room and bed expaciouse. Aiport Hotel good.

My overall stay had been really comfortable. I liked the wide clean lobby. Didn’t use the pool or had breakfast, though. I wanted latte in the morning, but they had those instant cream packets. Hot americano is available. I guess the only downside for me was that it has grey carpet floor and I have no idea if the floor is clean or not (smells like a clean old hotel, but it didn’t smell moldy or unclean), and the only way out is via Uber/Lyft inside a narrow forest-y road that Doordash can never find.

The location, hospitality and amenities are fine. I have stayed here many times over the past twelve years for those reasons. The onsite food cost for breakfast seemed absorbent for a party of two or more. I do love the pool, however. And we used the airport shuttle to travel through to NYC. It was timely and hospitable.

We stayed one night during a layover and everything was fine except the reception wasn’t too much in a hurry at checking people in and the restaurant food was ok but the service was absolutely terrible. It took 30min to place an order and the server seemed extremely frustrated to be there and asked for our order from 10’ away with a head nod and a half finger point.

The cost of booking breakfast at check in was $10. I didn’t book it at that time because of my food, allergies. I needed to see if there was anything I could eat. The next morning I went downstairs, looked at the breakfast, realized it was OK, and chose to have some. When I got my bill, the cost was $25. I think the cost of the breakfast should be consistent and that double the price if you choose it in the morning.

There was nothing special but the most disappointing thing was breakfast. They said it was a buffet in the restaurant, that is what it said on line and in the hotel. It was not included so we had to pay which is fine, but if I am paying for breakfast at a Double Tree then I am expecting something pretty good. This was so disappointing because it was not a restaurant just a sitting area and the buffet was at best a continental breakfast. Which anywhere else would have been free, but you choose to charge $25 for adults. Anything cooked was done in microwave or was cereal that I put in a paper bowl. I am not one to complain but as far as I am concerned that is not what is expected at a Double Tree or Hilton property. There was nothing that made me want to stay there again or any other hotel of the same caliber. This is sad because we travel a lot with our family.
