Solid hotel and not much noise for being by the airport. Things to note -- the Hotel to airport shuttle service ran on time 2x every hour to Newark Airport Station P4 only. The airport AirTrain is slow and was only running on 1 track the week of Aug 22. For being an airport hotel, it still took almost an hour to get to airport security during a slower day at the airport (midday on Thursday). No option to walk to the Airport Terminal or to the Intercity Train Station.

We were charged a daily fee to self park. Only 2 elevators one of which was not working. Even though we were 4 people in the room housekeeping kept leaving only 2 clean towels. We booked for a Monday check out and on Sunday morning they called us asking if we wanted to extend our stay and I had to convince them and provide confirmation that I booked thru Monday. Even after that conversation they still turned my room keys off and I had to go back to the front desk to prove again that I had booked thru Monday. They didn’t apologize and claimed that it must have been a system glitch. I won’t be staying there again.

The property was easily accessible. A few things I would recommend is first say that there is a $20 a day parking fee also make sure you have enough spots to park everyone as we are all paying to park. They should update that there was only 1 elevator working. With so many people Staying there it was WAY to busy to only have 1 elevator working. It took forever to get on one. We were on the 7th floor so we would take the stairs down but back up yeah I don’t think so this girl doesn’t do stairs like that. The breakfast was wonderful and included. Even for people that were a little too close to 10am (closing time) they accommodated them. Over all I would stay there again.

Not a good experience. 4 people were in front of me during check in and I was standing there waited for 30-40 minutes to check in. Shuttle bus service is not good. Always full , you can’t even make reservation.

The hotel and staff were great. But if you're staying there as a convenience to the airport, be prepared to take the hotel shuttle 2.5 hours before your flight. The hotel shuttle does not drop off at terminals, so you have to take a shuttle, the AirTrain and then another shuttle to the terminals. We left 2 hours prior to our flight and almost missed it. So plan accordingly.

Good hotel, a typical traditional airport hotel in the US. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were very good, clean, and modern. The only thing, as is common in US hotels, is the carpet, which was extremely dirty. I don't understand why they don't replace it and install a different type of flooring.

The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked it to be. The floors could have used some attention for sure. There was some trash left under the desk area and we weren’t sure if it was a huge bug, but it wasn’t, just trash.

The hotel was fine- decent breakfast and the room “seemed” clean with newer bedding. However- in the middle of the night my son, who was sleeping in the bed next to us, started yelling. He turned on his phone light, tore off the covers, and revealed a HUGE roach crawling around under the covers with him. In the morning I told the front desk about it and it was clear they couldn’t have cared less. It was “oh, a roach? (Yawn) ya, ok, I’ll tell housekeeping.” Later I noticed my husband was at the desk also complaining. This woman was standing next to the woman I had told. She seemed to take my husband more seriously and took his contact info saying a manager would reach out. No surprise -we never heard from a manager. Hopefully they will improve their bug management systems, but based on their seeming lack of concern, I doubt the message will even be forwarded to whomever is in charge of that.

This hotel seemed to be old and not kept up well. The pictures online from the outside does not adequately portray what the hotel looks like in person. On the pictures online, it appears that there are windows. In reality, there are windows with air condition units. Misleading. There are no restaurants nearby. Order food for delivery. The hotel shuttles to the airport are convenient but have seen their better days. The seats are in poor condition, and I found myself holding on for dear life, to prevent from falling out of the seat, since the seat was leaning over. The hotel and shuttle didn't live up to what I expect from the Hilton brand.

Stayed here before. Excellent room; actually a suite. Very comfortable and spacious. Strong, safe shower. Streaming TV easily available. Great breakfast with bananas, Cheerios with available non-dairy milk, western omelets, potatoes, meat. Airport shuttle available. Sandwiches in the sundry shop.

Close to EWR. Room lighting was poorly thought out, Door to room wouldn’t open unless you threw your weight into it. Free breakfast was skimpy. Louvers on AC unit not adjustable…blows on you when sitting at desk.

Unfortunately the person who checked us in was too busy texting to remember I had two rooms booked. When she finally figured it out, she gave us the wrong keys. One of the elevators wasn’t working and the second elevator could only be called to certain floors. When we finally got to our room, the batteries were dead in the remote control. The only saving grace was a very helpful maintenance worker.

The hotel shuttle to the airport was prompt, and the driver was great. The front desk staff were wonderful, both checking in and checking out. I was exhausted from a long day of traveling, and the bottled water they provided set check-in was such a kind gesture. The room was clean and had a nice welcome message on the TV. A quiet stay despite close proximity to the airport. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was super accommodating and helpful. We stayed for three nights to explore NYC. Our flight was changed and had us arrive at 7 AM. We went ahead and took the free shuttle to the hotel and front desk invited us to eat breakfast. They allowed us to check in at noon and offered to keep our bags free of charge to go to the city before then. The shuttle to the hotel allowed us easy access to public transit each day we were there. The room was comfortable and quiet. The shower was large and had good temperature and pressure. Breakfast was great and they offered airport friendly to go bags for early flights. We checked out early and there was no associated fee. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting someplace close to the Newark airport and NYC.

The cleaning crew and kitchen crew were nice and friendly but the front desk not so much. The maintenance guy walking around with work tools and yelling on the hallway and elevator are didn't make me feel safe. My biggest upset was the front desk weren't friendly and they seemed to be bothered if asked for directions about where to go eat or explain how to get to New York City.

Saffi and Aliya at front desk were super helpful and friendly. Made us feel welcome right away. They even gave everyone on the early morning shuttle a to-go breakfast! Thoughtful service.

The hotel itself is just fine. However there is absolutely nothing to do outside the hotel without a car. The roads and highway were all very busy and I’m not sure if there was even a sidewalk.

The hotel was fine for what it was: a place to sleep during an unexpected layover in Newark. It was mostly clean and comfortable enough. The breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. I appreciated the hotel transport back to the airport - it leaves every 30 minutes on the half hour. Hotel was clean enough, albeit starting to show some wear and tear. That all being said, it is a little over valued for what you get. There are few amenities and no onsite dining options, and no restaurants close by. Ordering in is your only option. In summary, this is an adequate place to stay when you just need a place to sleep, between flights.

If your flight gets canceled at Newark, this is a good option for last minute close to the airport stays. Their shuttle bus goes every 30 minutes and uses a sign up list so organized and not chaos. Passable breakfast included. Diverse clientele with folks from all over the world. Heard six languages spoken at breakfast.

However, the selection was exactly the same every day. Even though the food was fresh, it got repetitive after a couple of days. The only big negative of an airport hotel is that breakfast services does not start until 6AM so if if have a flight that starts before 8AM !!! there is not time to eat breakfast, take the shuttle over to the tram, tram to your terminal and check in for your flight. Many airprort hotels will start breafast service by 5 AM or provide free takeout food. Hampton Inn does not.
