I would stay at this hotel again. Spacious, Clean and friendly staff. Only thing I didn’t care for was the $17 parking fee in a lot that had no spaces, had to make our own, however the coffee made up for it. Great coffee!!

It was a decent hotel but the gym was empty and that is one of the reasons I booked this hotel is bc I work out via zoom with my personal trainer. There was a sign that said equipment is coming in May. If i had known this I would have booked another property to stay at.

While the breakfast options are great it was so crowded that you couldn’t get to anything and nowhere to sit. I’ve been in a lot of hotels over the years even for big events and never seen anything like it. Felt like people just wandered in off the street to eat. Also kids were running wild in the pool and hot tub area & it needed to be shut down for cleaning the next day.

The fitness room in the pictures had much more equipment than on location. There are only 2 ellipticals available, and without being in a walkable area (no sidewalks), there is no option to run and no actual gym. Very frustrating.

The front desk was not helpful. They had an attitude and were not being accommodating. I believe that they gave us a room that was not cleaned because we asked for an early check in. We stayed in room 419. We could not take a shower because the bathroom was was filthy dirty. The shower and floor were actually dirty. The bed was broken and very uncomfortable. Also, the door lock was broken and there were loud noises all night that kept us up.

This hotel is close to the airport so I spent a night there when my connecting flight was suddenly cancelled. The positives were that the hotel is in great condition and seemed very clean and well-maintained. There is a pool (and I think a hot tub too) but I didn’t have time to use it. The area is quiet and feels safe, and the airport shuttle was convenient and saved me some money on Ubering back to the terminal. The negatives of my experience were few and minor. First, I did see a small cockroach crawling across the other bed (I had a two queen room) that I had to take care of, but this isn’t necessarily a reflection of the hotel’s quality. The place did seem very clean and bugs can get in even the cleanest place from time to time. Second, the breakfast ends very early at 9:30am (I think 11:00am would be more reasonable). And third, the area is isolated/not walkable, so you need to order food or have a car. Last, I did find some of the staff to be kind of rude/unwelcoming, but I think that’s just a NJ thing. I hope to never find myself in New Jersey again, but if I do, I would stay at this hotel again.

The room was absolutely filthy - hair in the shower, large blood stain on the mattress, dust caked in sticky residue on the bedside lamp, etc. I let the front desk staff know and asked to be moved to a new room, but there were no other rooms available. I decided it was not safe for me to stay at the hotel and booked another hotel closely. When leaving, the front desk staff encouraged me to call Hotels.com to start the refund process, but ultimately the manager at this hotel DENIED the request.

There’s not a single restaurant on property. Our room and bathroom were not clean like other Marriott properties I’ve stayed in. For the most part the front desk people were nice but that really doesn’t matter much to me because I’m going to give the same energy I get. The property looks very run down. I would never stay here again, you couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

My stay was good. only problem there Was, it looks as if someone used the bathroom. Urine was on the seat of the toilet and there were crumbs on the sofa bed. House keeping could do thorough check before they leave to make sure everything is clean and neat before guess arrive.

Staff is very friendly, and the place is clean. There is a convenient little shop with snacks and microwave on ground floor. My only complaint is the squeaky chair in our room and the high-pitched creaky noise the toilet makes when flushing.

The place is suitable for a business trip. It is clean, and it is quiet in the sense that you don't hear much of the next-door neighbor. The lobby is nice, and they provide items for you to use. The stay was good for what it was for. Family trip for visit to American Dream Mall. The beds were absolutely horrible, it felt like sleeping on the box spring with no mattress. The pull out couch was also disappointing - it was only about 3 inches thick and completely flattened when anyone laid on it. We ultimately ended up just sleeping on the couch without the pullout.

Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Staff was nice. Mattress was very hard, and also lumpy. Furniture was scratched and the room just looked like it needed an update. Also didn't care for having a bath tub instead of a shower. This is very close to the airport and was therefore very noisy.

The thermostat was behind the tv which made it difficult to get to. The bathroom could use an upgrade. The food could definitely use a makeover. The pool didn’t look clean. The hotel could benefit from onsite dining. The only convenient thing was that it was close to the airport which is something that wasn’t essential for me.

Every was amazing, but the mattresses are more firm than I find comfortable. I had to take the extra comforter and blanket from the closet to pad the mattress a bit to sleep. The room was huge, super clean, modern, the bathroom was huge, they even included a shower chair, which helped me A LOT. This is what I expect for the nightly rates... a softer mattress too... but my husband and teen daughter slept fine. Lots of lighting, plenty of outlets. Only 2.5 miles from the prudential center for a concert. Safe fenced and gated parking. It was amazingly quiet for how close it is to the highway and airport. Great variety for breakfast with very nice people working at breakfast. Very crowded at breakfast though, even though the seating area was quite large. We chose to get our food and go back to our room. I would definitely recommend this hotel for attending concerts and other events at the Prudential. I will highly recommend Lyfte for transportation and book ahead so you dont get swept up in the after concert excitement and pay almost as much as it is to stay one night at the hotel.

TL;DR — unacceptable experience at 2am – avoid this hotel if you don’t want your reservation to be cancelled on you as you check in. === As a Marriott Bonvoy gold member, I never had an issue at any of their hotels. Until now. We arrived late at night to Marriott SpringHill Suites Newark after a delayed flight, with a confirmed Expedia reservation. I was traveling with a group of five, only to be told there were no rooms available. We weren’t alone—several guests with valid bookings were turned away. Some were sent to another hotel with a letter saying SpringHill is taking liberty. I was briefly offered that too, until staff saw I was on the phone with Expedia. They then backed off completely, offered no help, and wouldn’t even let us stay in the lobby—leaving us stranded at 2am trying to find accommodations when all other hotels close by were also booked or extremely expensive. What made it worse was the clear difference in how others were treated. Whether intentional or not, it felt discriminatory and deeply upsetting. This wasn’t just a booking error—it was a failure of customer service and basic decency.

We flew into Newark and had been told there was a shuttle service. My family along with at least 3 other groups waited for 30 minutes before we started calling the hotel asking for the shuttle. Each of us were told we “must have just missed it” each time we called and the lady was very rude about it. Multiple other hotels shuttles came and left very efficiently, yet ours was no where to be found. Each time one of us called she tried to tell us we were possibly not at the correct location, even though we were standing beside the sign for our hotel shuttle. After nearly an hour in the cold, our shuttle finally showed up. No apologies. No explanations. When we arrived at the hotel, the lady we had talked to on the phone never looked up at any of us, just insisted she’d been checking in guests from the airport so she knew the shuttle was making the runs. She never apologized for the inconvenience. Absolutely nothing was done about it. We will never stay at that hotel again for that reason. I spend a lot of money on travel. I will not give my money to a hotel that treats their guests so rudely.

The front desk staff is not friendly, we waited for the shuttle at the airport for over an hour and when we called to ask what was the issue they sent someone for us, then at the hotel we asked again why we were not notified of the shittle being down or they sending a backup if their own was not working and the lady was very ryde about it.

We were on the back end of a vacation in Greece and pretty tired. They were efficient in having us ready to check in and get to our room. They had a nice little gift bag that had water and a few snacks. We were able to just relax. Great sleep that night and got a good breakfast before the last part of our journey home. Staff was super friendly.

We used the online check-in, we were supposed to get a text message when our room is ready. Tried calling in the afternoon, but couldn’t get anyone on the phone. Spent all day driving around New York, finally went there at 9PM as we were so tired only for them to say the forget to do the online check-ins that day.

The included breakfast selection is surprisingly good and varied somewhst from day to day. Proximity to the Airtrain and then the Liberty Airport train station is good. The 3 step process ( hotel bus to P4, then Airtrain to the train station, then NJ Transit train into Penn Station NYC) only takes about an hour (or a bit more if you need to wait for a train) to get from the hotel all the way into NYC.

The location is quite poor if you're visiting for a holiday. Apart from the airport, everything else is far from the hotel. While they advertise a free airport shuttle, don’t count on it for anything else — we ended up spending quite a bit on cabs and other transport just to get around. If you don’t drive and are coming on vacation, I’d strongly recommend booking a hotel closer to the main attractions or city center. This place is only convenient for a layover or short airport stay — definitely not for exploring.

There is nothing aroung this hotel. No restaurants. You have to pay uber or taxi to go out and find a restaurant. Very close to the airport. Shuttle service was ok, we waited a lot to get pick up in terminal A.

If you are driving by car to the hotel, DO NOT STAY here. It does not matter which direction you approach the hotel. It is nearly impossible to get correct directions. Using your I-Phone or Google Maps does not help. We circled the hotel 7 times trying to follow directions. Look at a map, there are 8 roads looping between the hotel and airport. Calling the front desk does not help, they can't give clear instructions either. Stay away from the 4 nearby hotels, they all have the same road system in front of their hotels

Room was ok. Beds are hard. Staff not very welcoming. The breakfast was terrible. Runny eggs and oatmeal. Sausage patties were nasty brunt and no good options. Same thing everysay. Fruit was on the way to rotten. Pool was freezing.
