Renovation underway and did not realize we could not use the pool and it was one of the reasons we picked this location. It was listed on Holiday Inn website I was told but not on Expedia.

From the time of arrival the front desk said the pool was shut down due to pump broken. Then I asked for a blanket for the pull out couch and the front desk said they don’t have any blankets because they’re overbooked. So we get a bed with no blanket? That was a weird experience. No courtesy to offer a discount for the inconvenience was discouraging. We travel there a lot not sure will be back.

Room and hotel were very clean. Disappointed that they advertised a hot-tub only to find that it had been taken out. Front desk was extremely helpful when I needed to print a document. Breakfast was just OK.

Overall, the hotel seemed nice and also modern decor. What came as a surprise was the $3 parking fee. I've stayed in Holiday Innn Express's all over the U.S. and have never paid a parking fee.

Overall the property and room were fine but after 8 hours in the car with a 9 and 6 year old sooooo disappointed the pool had been closed for several days and we were never warned. We chose it specifically so the kids could swim. Never offered any compensation nor real apology. Warned the front desk they would get a bad review from me, I was disgusted at the false advertising.

I'm giving 3 stars because the pool was "closed for maintenance" for the extent of our stay. This was a big disappointment since we had chosen this hotel in part because of the pool. The kids were very disappointed. The room itself was large and updated but there was no functional fan in the bathroom and there was mold marks on the ceiling. On the other hand, they were very accommodating as we had to extend our stay for one night and we were able to do so without any issue. Overall it was clean, the staff was nice, and there was good variety of food for breakfast.

The hotel staff was very nice super sweet and professional! Room was neat set up. The beds were clean and comfortable however the bathroom which is one you also really want clean just wasn’t. The door has stuff sprayed all over it. The toilet seat has burns and stains all over it. The toilet has a horribly gross ring around the top you see once you or your child is in the tub. There’s stuff that comes out of the spout and into the water little brown pieces of something. Stains on the counter and around the sink drain. The elevator looked pretty rough. And the downstairs bathrooms were very dirty also. If this had been a cheaper hotel you wouldn’t be that bothered if it was 80 or so a night. But we paid almost 150 to get a room I could have gotten at a much cheaper price at other hotel chains known to be of less standards and got the same level of cleanliness. Just go ahead and stay somewhere cheaper. Tried to upload photos and it won’t let me. But I have several to verify.

The beds were comfortable. The room appeared clean. However, upon waking we discovered that there were little black bugs on the coffee station and also in an opened bag chips my daughter had bought the night before. The staff was amazing and super helpful!

1st "STAY AWAY" This hotel is the worst we have stayed. Unclean, unclean unclean. Checkin wasnt ready for us to see the room. Fine came back at 3pm. Got into the room and crawling up the wall was a small spider we thought. But got close it was a ROACH. We checked to room out then here comes another one across the floor. Same time one crawls across the pillow while our neice is on the bed. We went to tell the manager. And her attitude was OHHH WELL it happens. Then she thought I was someone else. To have more attitude. When she realized I wasnt who she thought I was she didnt even apologize for her rudeness. Just said here is another room bring the key to the other room when your moved. Breakfast was very simple and non tasteful. Drinks are very watered down. The next room wouldn't get cooler and we already paid thru a third party whom we are working with on credit or refund. So dont waste your time its better to stay some where else. We will be posting the full video onnour YouTube and TikTok travel page KING AND QUEEN GETAWAYS!

At check-in, the clerk was extremely rude. She clearly hates her job and hates people. She didn’t tell me about the deposit when she gave me the total. When I questioned her why I was charged $75 more, she got mad at me and was very difficult. When we got to our to our room, it had a very weird smell, there was hair in the bathroom and the beds were awful. During the night we were awakened all night by a drip. Long story short, the drip was the ac and the weird smell was mold. The clerk this time was super accommodating and we changed rooms. No hair and no smell in the next room.

This hotel has great potential, but as soon as i walked in the front door i was overwhelmed with the amount of what appeared to be homeless people hanging out in the lobby. Sleeping on the lobby couch and everything. Started using the side door as to not have to fight my way through the amount of people. The room itself was okayish after we were switched. First rooms toilet didnt work and it was leaking everywhere. The cleanliness of the rooms was poor. Carpet pad under and between the bed was horrendously soiled and could use a shampoo. My 2 year old daughter brought me a fake fingernail from in the room somewhere. The beds were very squishy and uncomfortable for myself. The pool room i anticipated on being warm with it being an indoor pool but it was very chilly and unmaintained. Towels were all used and none available for my child. The whole hotel had a musty scent mixed with cigarettes. Breakfast was decent fir a free one. Sirens went off outside most of the night. Only had a one night stay and couldnt get out fast enough.

Checked into a dirty room on Friday. Provided staff at front desk images to have housekeeping come up and clean. Sheets had what looked like blood specks/stains, blonde hairs, trashed under desk area and something over desk that looked to be snot or spit from a sneeze the way it was dried over desk area. Returned to room after housekeeping came to clean and all was done was change of sheets. Went back to front desk and was only advised by staff that they will take room number down and tell management on Monday. Highly do not recommend this hotel.

Very nice room with comfortable bed and great shower. My only criticism might the step down sitting area. It was not very visible when we first walked in to the room. I would suggest that guest be alert about this area. Could be a safety issue.

The room was very nice. My only negative is that the TV had no online guide. The card containing the channel line up didn't match the available channels. I arrived late at night, got ready for bed, and wanted to watch a little TV before retiring. The card listed channels 4 thru 62. The TV had channels 66-1 thru 88-?. When I selected 66-1, for example, there was a long commercial with no indication of what channel I was looking at. Very frustrating to find a channel to watch. I tried to call the from desk to see if there was a way to find out what channels were available, and the phone didn't work either. The next morning I went to the front desk and found that there are two different TV channel line up systems, and that the card in my room didn't match the TV channel line up in my room. Very frustrating. Other than the TV issue, the room was very nice and breakfast was great.

The third floor has some wear and tear, but overall it looked fine. We booked for 4 guests, but we only received 3 towels. The deadbolt would not lock. The up bottons on the remote for sound and channels did not work. The beds were so soft that when I lie down, my feet were a good 2 inches higher than my head. It was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff was super friendly. However, there were no pancakes because they had no batter. For our purpose of staying one night on our way to Florida, this hotel was good. It is close to many restaurants and stores. The area seemed safe.

Spent 4 days there. Ms. Becky on the Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful with info on the local area. A good hot breakfast with a variety of items on the bar (scrambled eggs, self made pancakes, bacon, sausage, cream beef, hot cinnamon buns, coffee, tea, juices, hot biscuits, bagels, fruit). Only thing I would say was minor was the AC made a little too much noise but being tired we feel asleep. I did not mention it but I am sure they would have moved us if we asked but we liked being on the very end away from everything else.

The check-in process was very quick, and the staff was very friendly. The lobby and breakfast areas appeared newly renovated and were very clean. The third floor has some wear and tear, but overall it looked fine. We booked for 4 guests, but we only received 3 towels. The deadbolt would not lock. The up bottons on the remote for sound and channels did not work. The beds were so soft that when I lie down, my feet were a good 2 inches higher than my head. It was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff was super friendly. However, there were no pancakes because they had no batter. For our purpose of staying one night on our way to Florida, this hotel was good. It is close to many restaurants and stores. The area seemed safe.

Great location, near Ft. Jackson & 12 min from William Brice stadium. There weee lots of options in the area for food, groceries, & shopping. Comfortable clean rooms & included breakfast was a bonus not gourmet but a delicious meal to start your day. Location has Waffle House next door & Nick’s seafood within walking distance open late & was always busy. Would recommend, we didn’t use any other amenities we were busy visiting our USC student.

We were staying in the area for my son’s bootcamp graduation. This hotel was under 10 min away from base. A lot of stores and restaurants nearby. The a/c wasn’t on/working in the hallways. In the room it wouldn’t get any colder than 73 degrees so I’m not sure if they were having issues with their cooling system? Pool was just okay. Staying now in a rated 7 hotel and I feel it’s better than our stay at the holiday in.

The property is a 10 min drive to Ft Jackson. There are multiple restaurants within 5 mins walking distance,beside the hotel parking lot there is Waffle house, a seafood restaurant, pizza hut, KFC and a gas station across the road. Walmart and larger chain restaurants are a 5 min drive on the same road as the hotel. Breakfast was lovely each morning! We would visit this hotel again. Rooms are spacious and clean! Family Friendly hotel, pool could be cleaner.

Very clean hotel that had all the amenities we needed and more. Forgot our shampoo and had a nice setup for all our washing needs. Beds were soft and clean. Staff was very friendly and professional. Loved the late check out so our soldier from basic training could shower after graduation before we headed home.
