The pool was closed. Very disappointed, they did offer for us to go to another property to swim. Kind of a pain. Staff was friendly. No room service during our stay. But was clean and comfortable. Wish they’d take pool off online advertising. That was one reason we chose that place.

The hotel is on main street near shopping and restaurants. We parked our car and walked everywhere. The breakfast is really nothing to write home about. However, there are breakfast restaurants close by. The rooms are dated but since the location is great, we didn't really mind. The biggest drawback is there is no elevator. Would stay here again for confience sake.

Was able to walk to shopping and restaurants. Hotel and room clean. Be sure to check out the Gold Pan Saloon! The oldest saloon in the Black Hills. Lots of taxidermy and warm, lodgy atmosphere.

Very small bathroom and the carpet was not clean especially in the hall and on the stairs. FYI there isn’t an elevator. The check in person was great! Room was as clean as it could be since it was an older hotel. Love the area and the price

Great location for a few days stop in Custer. 20 minutes drive to Black Elk and Sylvan Lake. 5 minute walk to restaurants, brewery, shops. The room was fresh and clean, the AC was loud but didn't need it at night, and the bed was really comfortable. The staff was great! Friendly and helpful. I used the laundry room which was clean and everything worked well. Parking was easy and the whole area is very safe and quiet at night, even with the bikers in town for Sturgis. Would stay again!

This was a place to sleep, the bathroom had what looked like black mold on the ceiling and a sign on the door that said not to shower with the door open because it would set off the smoke alarm! The beds were fair. We got some sleep but don’t think I would ever stay here again. Also the town literally closes down by like 9 - 10 p.m. so eat early and get snacks.

This hotel was sufficient for what we needed...a place to sleep for a night. Very dated and run down feeling. Definitely not worth the over $200 for one night we paid but with the bike rally in Sturgis starting it was expected.

The breakfast waffles are not the kind you make yourself; they are the dry, tasteless toaster version. The rest of the breakfast offerings were minimal. In the room, the air conditioner is designed to be at floor level. Instead it is placed above your head, with the controls facing the ceiling. To adjust, you need to stand on a chair and use a flashlight. I never understand why breakfast must close at exactly 9 am when the check out isn't until 11. We're on vacation; no need to get up early. Would not stay there again.

Bed was broken. Reported broken the next morning and was told it was fixed when arrived back. Linens was on floor. Requested new linens and housekeeping was gone. Front desk replaced linen and in the process bed has broken again. Requested a new room and was given.

Excellent location close to shops and restaurants. Front desk staff was very helpful. Rooms are basic but very clean and quiet. There is no elevator but front desk attendant offered to help with luggage as I was traveling with my elderly parent.

Staff tried to be very accommodating.I filled out the preregistration and requested a room on the first floor. They said they never got the request so I had to start all over. We had to drag our luggage up the stairs. Extremely difficult for older people. We had to request items like toilet paper and klenex for our room.Our room keys never worked and we were constantly having to get the keys reprogrammed.The breakfast bar was crowded with a a very poor selection of breakfast items. It was poor enough to where we always went out to breakfast some where else. I will never stay at this hotel again!
