Best Western Executive Inn

No elevator, 2 floors. Just had surgery and rhey could not accommodate. Reported it was prepaid so they could not even change the room type. Pool was closed. This was not noted when booking.

We reserved 2 rooms for us and grandkids. Drove two hrs to meet grandkids for a nights stay and swim in pool, only to find that the pool was closed! We waited in your lobby to book 2 rooms at a different hotel

This is a great choice for an inexpensive stay. The room is updated, very clean, and the towels are not paper thin. The only thing to be aware of is there is no elevator so if you need a first floor room ask for it when you book your stay. Definitely recommend this hotel and will use it again next time I need an overnight stay in Battle Creek.

It was nice hotel, but shared a parking lot with a Red Roof Inn, which was literally across the breezway. Like having a mansion next to a trailer park.

The staff was so nice and very helpful during our stay! The pool was a nice size, I only wish the heat would’ve worked in the actual room of the pool! That is my only complaint. The breakfast was great! Rooms were clean!! We will definitely be back!!! We only paid $238 for two nights! Usually that’s unheard of with a pool & hot breakfast around the area! Huge thank you to the staff for being so welcoming!!!

Indoor pool

Parking lot was in poor condition and uneven. Drains in the parking lot did not drain the water away at all, leaving deep puddles. Staff was okay but mostly they didn’t engage with me very well. They could be more friendly.

First, the rate was high for a BW. It was $244 w/tax. Photos seemed to justify the cost, rooms looked updated, beautiful pool, b’fast etc. Don’t know where to start. Hands down the worst hotel we have stayed at throughout years & years of travel sports. 1. Tried to contact the hotel prior to arrival, the phone rang & rang & rang - tried calling back at different times that day w/same results. 2. Checked in right at 3pm the front desk clerk wasn’t sure they would have a room ready - they did :) if an uncleaned room is what you want. 3. We had all of our stuff w/us…but we were told “there is no elevator so you will have to use the stairs” - I did not search the hotel to confirm there wasn’t an elevator or if there is one & it was out of service. 4. walked in…one bed was a mess like someone had laid on it. You could see a body imprint on it. 5. Daughter used the restroom & the shower was not cleaned…hair in the tub, the wrapper to a bar of soap and the actual used soap. 6. The toilet was clogged w/toilet paper & unflushed; floor sticky 7. went to use the pool - it was closed - sign on the door. Closed for the week. 8. The walls & doors are paper thin. We heard everything. Every conversation, cough, door shut, blow dryer — noisiest room ever 9. Woke up to have b’fast & the beverage machine was not working on the buffet. 10. Before checkout we went to speak to the desk clerk only to find a sign “we will be back shortly” waited 17 min & left Worst. Hotel. Ever.

We walked into an absolutely FILTHY room. Ants crawling on the floors, doritos and whatever else in the corners of the rooms, hair amd sraight scum on the toliet and shower and the air unit was covered in mold. Ok, things happen. Maybe they were understaffed. Then we went to the pool and came out with chemical burns and fried hair. So bad that people in our group had to go to the hospital for burns and the police and hazmat came. The only saving grace of this hotel was a young, small black woman(i specify so she gets the credit she deserves because it was an absolute sh*t show) who was really nice and apologetic. Unfortunately for us there were about 4 events happening and every single hotel was booked and we had no choice but to stay because our kids had a sporting event. We travel often and have come across so dirty hotel rooms but i have never seen anything like this. I have zero clue how this has such a high rating

There was a grit on the floor in the room, couldn’t walk barefoot. The hallway smelled like someone was vaping weed constantly. Couldn’t fall asleep because neighbors across the hall sounded like they were making adult films. Left early.

Was told a refund. didnt get it. Walked into my room to stained bed sheets, dirty floor. Found a used needle behind the TV when i was trying to find out why the tv wasnt working. lamp didnt work. I was absolutely disgusted walking into the room. Stay away at all costs.

Leaky roof on the 2nd floor with a bucket to collect water in the hallway. My shower had a ring of rust that was crusty around the drain (not just discoloration). The beds squeaked every time you moved in it. Pool was very nice. The kids had fun swimming. Room charges were messed up between me and other guests.

The bathtub not clean had hair in it.

Service was excellent. The room was very dirty and the bed extremely uncomfortable. The a/c unit made the most gawd awful buzzing noise. There were ants in the room when we arrived and the bathroom had no fan and looked like a leak was sloppily patched over. Def not the quality I’d expect for an executive best western.

Water didn’t go down in the shower. Tub was peeling. Mold on ceiling mold on curtains.

Constant smell of marijuana inside. Looks like they’ve done some updating with the room but the bathtub was chipping and the bed

Ross Work, nasty and outdated bathroom dirty

This hotel is great for a quick stay. The staff was great and our room was clean. It could use a few upgrades like a nicer TV. Breakfast was only from 6-9. It would be nice if it were until a little bit later so we could have enjoyed it (we got in late and needed to sleep a bit longer). The bed was not comfortable. It was extremely firm. I would stay here again if it were for one night, but not for an extended stay.

We got in our room and there was a used towel hanging on a hook in the bathroom. Then our tv wouldn’t work. The lady from the front desk came to try and fix it, no luck, telling us there was a work order in for the tv in our room. There were some really loud kids next door and she said she’d tell them to quiet down but they were good kids. They screamed until 2am- twice their dad came in screaming the F word at them. The hotel refused to compensate us in any way. The one plus is there are plenty of outlets.

Quick one night getaway served its purpose. Only complaint were the pillows were very small

Needed a clean room for the night. Love the laminate flooring in the room. No yucky carpet. Yeah for this BW upgrade.

Came here for our wedding night. The room was good. Not great. Was clean. A little outdated. We did get a room with a jacuzzi tub in it. It was so humid in our room that bed sheets and the floors, tables etc were damp. I slipped on the floor at one point and will definitely be feeling it for days. Suppose it was good that we got a soaking tub. The air conditioning ran all night and it did nothing for the humidity in the room. Outside of that, we had no real issues. Bed wasn’t the coziest but it also wasn’t awful either. I did enjoy my time. Staff was friendly

It’s an older hotel but has been maintained well and was clean. Looks like the recently redid all the flooring, it was nice. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay there again.

The room was smaller than what we typically see in a interstate highway motel. It otherwise seemed safe and quiet. So we got what we paid for.

The Best Western Hotel was just fine for our 1 night stay. The big problem we had was Expedia themselves. When we book through Expedia they send a virtual card over to complete the reservation, however Expedia virtual card was declined so we had to wait for several hrs to get that to go through. Evidently there was another 3rd party that was with Expedia as well. So confusing. The manager was so helpful and had explained that this is happening so much lately with Expedia. That’s what truly made our experience not pleasant. Everything else was perfect and the hotel was extremely quiet and we had the pool to ourselves 👍. I will probably have to double check using Expedia to book future hotels.👎

We had an excellent stay!! The food was good, our room was clean and spa tub was fantastic!! Every staff member, from the front desk to housekeeping, was very friendly and helpful!! We will definitely stay here again!!

Check in was very slow.

Nearly perfect but first impression was difficult parking and had to summon clerk to front to check in. Everything else is great.

Close to family and Fort Custer National Cemetery. This was my second stay here, the first was three years ago. Both stays had great staff! Your usual Best Western breakfast was done well and the coffee always hot, no matter how early you need to get up and go. Our bathroom floor had crumbs or something on it was the only drawback but everything else clean. Culver’s next door was great both times also. Highly recommended.

Loud, dirty, but at least the jacuzzi tub worked great. expensive for the property and next door to red roof in with people loitering all day/night didn't give off a very safe vibe

I would give this hotel an “A” Location for an easy on easy off of the highway, friendly staff, Culver restaurant right on the property, room was well equipped and very clean. Prefect for our long trip.

I don't care what she makes, she is underpaid for her professionalism and affability. All other hotel staff we encountered during our stay were kind and helpful. The room was very nice: two queen beds with good mattresses and pillows, good channel selection on TV, nice bathroom (and clean), and a mini fridge/microwave/coffee maker for ease of use. Everything in good working order. A little smaller than I imagined for what I paid for (ACA room), but not surprisingly so. A little bummed that there was clearly a spot a hot tub used to be (but was no more), but the pool itself was okay. My eyes are not burning, and that's a good sign. Continental breakfast was exactly as promised - good selection of hot and cold cereals, hot items, toast/bagels/donuts/etc, milk/juice/coffee/hot cocoa. I made a cheese bagel sausage/egg/cheese sandwich and it was delicious. The only thing that is neither positive nor negative was the location. I mean, kind of a great location - close to several dining options, close to a mall, relatively short trip to downtown - but that intersection is BUSY. The hotel shares a parking lot with another hotel, and several businesses. Not a lot of traffic, but just kinda cramped. All that being said, I will definitely consider this hotel if I travel through Battle Creek again.

The property was close to the highway which made it easy to find. It was surrounded by a couple other hotels and motels. The hotel staff that checked us in was busy trying to figure out something with other guests. When she got to us, I went to pay and the system froze. I had to come back and she had to post the second payment while the pending payment was still on my card. The room was good! The beds were comfy and spacious and the sheets were clean. The bathtub needs to be replaced or updated (there were stains that looked like a good scrub couldn’t get out). The indoor pool was lukewarm which I was expecting something warmer but still nice it had an indoor pool. We were on the first floor and our window faced the parking lot, so in the morning the loud truck that was parked outside our window decided to take off. You could smell the exhaust through their AC/heating unit. The continental breakfast was its basic stuff (no bacon though). My daughter (2 years old) picked out a muffin that was prepackaged. When we got back to the room and opened the muffin, it had mold on it. No big deal since we were going to the Cereal Festival anyway. The staff were always nice and pleasant. Parking was convenient. Good for a weekend vacation.

The large fast toaster was removed. Covers on the food warmer dripped condensation on the food. Better choices are available.

Bed - comfortable, Breakfast - nothing fancy, but good, Pool - probably due to be cleaned, Other food - ask about discount at Culvers next door. Someone had switched cables around on TV, but easily fixed and who would even think to add "check hdmi coming in on hdmi 1 and not hdmi2" to the checklist?

We spent a single night at the place. The room was tidy and quite pleasant. The beds were comfortable and neatly made. The breakfast was somewhat basic, offering limited options. The only drawback was noticing cracks in the ceiling of the hallway on the second floor. For a brief one-night stay, it remains a favorable option.

Room was clean...big spacious bathroom...good breakfast selections...I didn't love the bed, my husband thought it was fine

Front desk was friendly, the one employee was training, she accidentally entered wrong room number on key card, had to return to front desk to have them correct it, she apologized for mistake. Quiet, clean, bed was comfortable. We were disappointed though that the pool was not open due to maintenance issues, would have been nice to know before arrival, we would have booked in another hotel. Breakfast was very good, great selection, hot food was cold, had to heat up in microwave. Overall would rate it a 7
